The 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards were presented on January 18, 2014, at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. The event was broadcast simultaneously by TNT and TBS.

Winning the top prizes for film were Matthew McConaughey – Best Actor ‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ Cate Blanchett – Best Actress ‘Blue Jasmine,’ Jared Leto Supporting Actor ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ and Lupita Nyong’o – Supporting Actress ’12 Years a Slave.’

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture went to ‘American Hustle’: Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Louis C.K., Bradley Cooper, Jack Huston, Jennifer Lawrence, Allessandro Nivola, Michael Pena, Jeremy Renner, Elisabeth Rohm and Shea Whigham.

The top television honors went to Michael Douglas – Actor Television Movie ‘ Behind the Candelabra,’ Helen Mirren – Actress Television Movie ‘Phil Spector,’ Bryan Cranson – Actor TV Drama ‘Breaking Bad,’ Maggie Smith – Actress TV Drama ‘Downton Abbey,’ Ty Burrell – Actor TV Comedy ‘Modern Family,’ and Julia Louis-Dreyfus – Actress TV Comedy ‘Veep.’

Outstanding Drama Series was ‘Breaking Bad’: Michael Bowen, Betsy Brandt, Bryan Cranston, Lavell Crawford, Tait Fletcher, Laura Fraser, Anna Gunn, Matthew T. Metzler, RJ Mittle, Dean Norris, Bob Odenkirk, Aaron Paul, Jesse Plemons, Steven Michael Quezada, Kevin Rankin and Patrick Sane.

‘Modern Family won Outstanding Ensemble Comedy: Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ed O’Neill, Rico Rodriguez, Eric Stonestreet, Sofia Vergara and Ariel Winter.

Outstanding Stunt Ensemble Film went to ‘Lone Survivor,’ and for Television ‘Game of Thrones.’
