Next year marks 20 years since the mysterious suicide of Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of 90s grunge band, Nirvana. Kurt Cobain was found dead in his home in Seattle on April 8th, 1994, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. After finding a note nearby, the police ruled it a suicide.
However, several conspiracy theories surrounding his death have arisen over the last 20 years. Seattle police recently decided to reexamine the evidence in Kurt’s case in expectation of renewed questioning by fans. The detective on the case found no new evidence to support a change of cause of death, and the case has been closed again.
Yesterday, Seattle police released two previously unseen images from the scene of Kurt’s death. One photo shows a box containing drug paraphernalia and the other shows the paraphernalia box closed, next to cash, a cigarette pack and a wallet that appears to show Cobain’s identification.
Hopefully this will put some fans minds at ease.
