On Scandal Season 4 Episode 4, Karen Grant is caught making the “dirtiest sex tape” Olivia Pope has ever seen, and since she’s a professional fixer, it’s pretty much a guarantee that she’s seen more than her fair share of sex tapes.

In Scandal Season 1, she was even IN ONE. It might have been an audio tape, but that was definitely her heavy breathing the world heard.

Seems the Grant family apples don’t fall far from the proverbial tree.

Karen, who possesses a brain, called Olivia for help with the mess. Olivia, despite her reservations about wading back into the White House waters, obliged and took care of the issue, delivering what was quite the spectacular “The Bitch Is Back” speech we’ve seen from her in a while. (You need to go watch Scandal online right now to see it! Shades of Old Olivia were shining through!)

Seriously. Do not attempt to blackmail or extort Olivia Pope or her clients. It will not work out well for you.

In the midst of trying to decide if he loves Olivia or is disgusted by the fact that she was with Jake, Fitz learns that his Secret Service agent, Tom, was the man who killed his son. He sets out to find out on whose orders Tom was working and calls in none other than the Devil himself.

Rowan Pope.

Tom, naturally, refuses to name Rowan as the guy who gave the order to Rowan’s face, showing that Tom lacks any and all intestinal fortitude. Instead, he says Jake gave the order to kill Jerry, an order which, if anyone would just stop for one red hot minute, would make absolutely no sense at all.

What does Jake have to gain by killing Jerry Jr. when he’s in the process of losing himself and his job? Why would he do that? Rowan, however, has everything to gain.

Come on, Fitz. Be a smart man next week, okay? Can you do that?

And Abby? Ladyfriend, get it together. You don’t work for OPA anymore. You don’t even seem to want to be friends with her anymore. You have abandonment issues. Blah blah blah.

Suck it up, buttercup. You’re working as the White House press secretary! Cash your checks! Call it a day! And whatever you do, get back together with David Rosen, okay? You two are great together.
