On The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 3, Rick Grimes put an end to Terminus once and for all, in what was the third most gruesome human-to-human battle. Maybe second.

Now the group has split up once again. Will they never learn that they’re better together?

Maybe. Maybe not. Right now the group has separate interests.

Abraham needs to get Eugene to D.C. and Rick needs to find Carol and Daryl. And Beth. But first there are some bodies to bury.

No one will deny that the Termites had to die. There was no co-existing, nor could Rick trust that they would go their separate ways and not retaliate, even if he’d left Gareth as the last man standing.

But the brutality of watching Rick, Michonne, Abraham, Tara, and Sasha taking out the remaining Terminus members was still gruesome. Just how gruesome it was could be seen in Glenn and Maggie’s shocked looks of disbelief and Tyreese’s sadness that the world has come to this.

He knew his sister needed the closure, but it’s a closure he never got himself. What he got instead was forgiveness, which is probably better in the long run.

By the end of the episode, Terminus was put behind the group, we knew a little more about Father Gabriel, and Daryl had returned. Who he was hiding in the woods is unclear, but we’re guessing it’s Beth. Next week’s episode is all about her.

We’ll find out when we watch The Walking Dead online.
