Talk about an exercise in contrasts. Actress Anne Hathaway and Valentino Garavani were on hand for the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style induction ceremony held in his honor today.

The lovely Hathaway has always been known for her creamy white complexion. Garavani is at the opposite end of the color spectrum, with his orange hued perma-tan. Put the two together and the photographs border on bizarre.

Is it our imagination or is Garavani’s head too big for his body? We’re just saying…

Anne Hathaway To Channel Judy Garland (Photos)

Anne Hathaway has been offered a pair of plum roles by Harvey Weinstein, film producer and movie studio chairman. The 26 year old actress has been tapped to portray Judy Garland in a film and stage adaptation of Gerald Clark’s 2001 book Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.

The combined theater and film project will allow Hathaway to show off her singing and dancing moves. We’ve already glimpsed her talent, when she did a musical number with Hugh Jackman at the Oscar’s in February (see video below).

Garland’s most popular film was The Wizard of Oz, where she sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

Weinstein said, “We are thrilled to have the brilliantly talented Anne Hathaway portray stage and screen legend Judy Garland. I have worked with Anne on projects in the past and have known her for many years. She will be a true class act in this challenging role.”

Golden Globes Website Oops: Best Actress Winner Revealed?

The 66th Annual Golden Globes aired on Sunday night, January 11th on NBC, where Rumer Willis served as Miss Golden Globe 2009. Extra learned of a snafu that occurred on the Golden Globes website earlier in the week that could have been a spoiler

For a short time, the Golden Globes website showed there was a winner in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture category. The winner was reported to be Anne Hathaway for her role in Rachel Getting Married.

The GG folks indicate it was “accidental” and Hathaway’s rep called it just a “glitch”. One might assume, therefore, that the website was being prepared in advance so that it could be quickly published for viewers immediately after the broadcast.

As it turned out – it was just a glitch. The winner was Kate Winslet, who took home two Golden Globes.

Hathaway did win Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday night for Rachel Getting Married. Check it out here.

Anne Hathaway shared top female honors at the 14th Annual VH-1 Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles last night. The ‘Best Actress’ title was awarded to Meryl Streep for Doubt and Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married. See complete Winners list here.

The two actresses have worked together in the past. Both women appears in the critically acclaimed movie The Devil Wears Prada in 2006. Hathaway has another film debut this week. She stars with actress Kate Hudson in Bride Wars. See movie trailer here.

Gorgeous Kate Hudson graces the February 2009 cover of Elle magazine, and dare we say she is HOT in that Dior dress. The talented actress has a new movie coming out. She co-stars with Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars, slated to hit theaters on January 9.

In the accompanying article she talks about the paparazzi, playing only romantic comedies and the fact that she caught heat in high school for wearing her skirts too short. Kate even got sent home to change on one occasion. Something tells us that her ever cool mom, actress Goldie Hawn, laughed it off.

Hudson was previously linked to Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong. The couple split in July, when he met and fell in love with Anna Hansen. The couple recently announced they are expecting a baby.

Anne Hathaway’s Ex Raffaello Follieri Gets 4-1/2 Year Prison Sentence

In a Manhattan federal court yesterday, a judge handed down a 4-1/2 year prison sentence to Raffaello Follieri. He was also fined $1,400 and will serve three years of supervised release after completing his time at either Fort Dix, New Jersey or Otisville, New York. His next hearing is set for December 12, 2008 when he will find out which facility will be his new home for the next 54 months.

The wayward ex boyfriend of actress Anne Hathaway could have received up to 265 years in prison after pleading guilty to 14 counts and was ‘awarded’ the lighter sentence with the understanding that his lawyer cannot appeal the verdict.

Hathaway assisted the FBI in the hours prior to his arrest. She has apparently moved on with her life and has been able to put this chapter behind her. She is even tantalizing us with rumors of a new mystery man.

Follieri made a statement before the court saying: “The most important thing I want the court to know is I was not raised with bad values…I started off with good intentions. What I did was wrong and there is no point in making excuses.”

His lawyer followed up by adding: “He started out with good intentions and then sunk and sunk into a quagmire of his own making.”

What’s that old saying? ‘The road to Hell is paved with good intentions’. That just about sums it up.

Anne Hathaway’s New L.A. Mystery Man

Actress Anne Hathaway may have found a new love interest. The gorgeous celebrity broke off her relationship with Raffaello Follieri on the eve of his arrest by the FBI in June 2008. In the course of their investigation, federal agents confiscated some personal and reportedly racy photos of Anne. That phase of her life is history and the star has apparently turned a corner by letting slip the fact that she has met someone.

The talented 25-year-old has been moving full speed ahead with her life with appearances and movie premiere’s for Get Smart, Rachel Getting Married and Passengers. To say she is a hot commodity is an understatement.

Of her new man, she had this to say:

“This guy I know in L.A. is kind of doing it for me right now. When I think of sexy I think of him. I’m totally single right now but I happened to meet a sexy guy the other day. You know when you don’t know someone very well – you’ll probably never see them again – but you just meet them and you’re like ‘Wow, you really have it going on’?”

Sounds like she’s sending a subtle message to her mystery man. No doubt every male she has spoken to in L.A. recently is assuming he’s her guy and he’s really got it going on. It should be interesting to see who surfaces.

Hathaway is scheduled to star with Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. She has signed on to play the White Queen.

Raffaello Follieri Blames Anne Hathaway’s Lifestyle

It is understandable for convicted felon Raffaello Follieri, who is looking at spending 4 years in the the pen for embezzling millions, to place the blame on someone other than himself. And who better to blame than ex-girlfriend and actress Anne Hathaway. Follieri claims he was merely attempting to keep up with her glamorous lifestyle.

Raffaello’s attorney was quoted saying the following about his client:

“Surrounded by movie stars and celebrities and this young man, who neither drinks nor smokes, became intoxicated with it all.”

And he added:

“The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.”

Well, we wonder if Follieri is wishing he would have picked a different lawyer. Most of us would love to live a more glamorous lifestyle but common sense keeps us from stealing LARGE sums of money because of that whole prison thing.

The con man will be sentenced on October 23rd. They are trying to get a reduced sentence of three years. Check out the letter that Raffaello’s legal team wrote to the judge on his behalf.

Debra Winger, a three time Oscar nominee, is back after a lengthy hiatus from film making. The 53 year old reluctant actress plays the mother of troubled daughter Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married.

The new movie opened in limited release on October 3rd, 2008 in the U.S. and at various international film festivals within the past few weeks. The movie premise is that a troubled young woman, who has been in and out of rehab for the past 10 years, returns home for the weekend to attend her sister’s wedding.

Winger has had many career starts and stops. She debuted at age 21 as Wonder Woman’s younger sister. Her breakthrough performance came four years later in Urban Cowboy. She disappeared for two years and resurfaced to do An Officer and a Gentleman, where she received her first Oscar nomination and went down on the record as being ‘difficult’.

Terms of Endearment earned her a second Oscar nod, where she played Shirley MacLaine’s terminally ill daughter. She dated Governor Bob Kerrey of Nebraska while filming on location. She and MacLaine reportedly scuffled off camera in what was described as an all out fist fight. After that came Legal Eagles, The Sheltering Sky and Shadowlands, where she got her third Oscar nomination.

Then came children, a son with first husband, actor Timothy Hutton, and another son with her current husband, actor Arliss Howard. The movies slowed to one every year or two as she took on a personal role that she found much more fulfilling.

Winger penned a book of self reflection, Undiscovered, that released in 2008 and appears to have stepped back into her former life with early rave reviews for her portrayal of Abby in Rachel Getting Married.

Anne Hathaway Racy Photos Confiscated by FBI

Anne Hathaway has had more than her share of unwanted publicity following the arrest of her boyfriend, Italian businessman Raffaello Folliere in June. He pleaded guilty on 14 counts of fraud and money laundering. The actress reportedly broke off their relationship hours before federal officials took Folliere into custody.

According to the National Enquirer, Hathaway became concerned about retrieving some of her possessions and sent her brother, in mid July, to pick up some personal photographs and sundry items, including her diaries. The items had been moved to a storage facility after Folliere’s arrest. Hathaway’s brother was told that the FBI had seized these items from a storage locker the day before.

Some of the photos were supposedly taken by Folliere and one in particular was shot by a famed professional photographer. In the picture, Hathaway was topless and was clothed in black fishnet stockings, a garter belt and bustier.

Of obvious concern to Hathaway is the possibility that the photos will leak. She is also concerned that Folliere may have shared copies with his friends. We don’t know if the Enquirer got it right but if they are on to something, the actress might be in for more notoriety than she bargained for when she hooked up with Folliere.
