Anne Heche & Coley Laffoon Learn How to Parent

When you openly show contempt for the father of your child people are bound to take note. Last month on the David Letterman show actress Anne Heche bashed her ex-husband Coleman Laffoon, calling him a “lazy ass.” Now the two are headed to parenting classes so they can learn how to play nice together.

The ex’s agreed to get a “parenting plan coordinator” who will teach them how to get along for the sake of their son Homer. At the whooping rate of $375 per-hour the service provider promises to:

Coach the parents on effective co-parenting
Help the parents make joint parenting decisions
Resolve disputes between the parents concerning the court-ordered parenting plan

The two have officially signed off on the court ordered plan that will remain in effect until May 1, 2011.

Heche left Laffoon for “Men In Trees” co-star James Tupper. Anne and James had a son Atlas Heche Tupper who was born in March of this year.

Actress Anne Heche was a guest of David Letterman last night. The always interesting celeb livened things up when her host asked her about her ex-husband Coley Laffoon. The couple waged a two year court battle over alimony, child support and custody of their son Homer. The ensuing battle fueled accusation that he craved ‘porn, poker and money’, and that she was ‘mentally unstable’.

The dust has settled on that episode of their lives but Heche didn’t miss a golden opportunity to bash Laffoon on national television. She told Letterman, “Can you say lazy ass on TV?” Then she thought better of it and continued, “No, no, no. That’s terrible.”

Good ‘ol Dave, feigning surprise, asked what the guy did for a living. Heche said, “He goes out to the mailbox and he opens the little door and goes “Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!”

Heche and her co-star James Tupper from Men in Trees hooked up during the television series and have a son Atlas Heche Tupper.

Actress Anne Heche and James Tupper are expecting their first child together. The two met on the set of Men in Trees back in 2006 and started a relationship before Heche had split with her husband Coley Laffoon or Tupper with his wife.

Heche’s rep has confirmed the news of the baby and said that the couple are thrilled. Heche and Laffoon have a 6 year old son Homer.

The couple were very good at dodging relationship questions until they had ended their marriages. Once that was accomplished, they couldn’t wait to talk about each other. Tupper was quoted as saying;

” I wish people could meet her in person, she has a sparkle and such a love for people, and she works so hard. She is so dedicated to all good things.”

Anne Heche and Coley Laffoon have reached a divorce settlement. The out of work actress has agreed to pay her ex a lump sum payment of $275,000 and a month child support payment of $3,700 for their six year old son Homer. The actress left her husband for her Men in Trees co-star James Tupper.

Heche made headlines last month when she asked a judge to scale back the $15,000 per month child support payment that had been levied upon her while the divorce details were being hammered out. The actress cited the fact that her lucrative acting gig on Men in Trees had abruptly ended and she was out of work.

The divorce battle turned ugly when Heche accused her husband of being a deadbeat who watched porn and visited strip clubs. He called her mentally unstable.

Immediately following her breakup with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Heche was found wandering in a rural area outside Fresno. Reportedly wearing only a bra and shorts, she rang a strangers door bell, inquired about a gateway to outerspace and asked if she could use their shower.

You can bet that the moment the actress lands steady work Laffoon will be petitioning the courts to revisit the monthly support payment arrangement.

Actress Anne Heche can’t afford the whopping $15,000 a month in child support that she is required to shell out for her six year old son Homer and toward spousal support for ex husband Coley Laffoon. The out of work actress is blaming her inability to pay on the cancellation of her TV show Men in Trees, which would seem to indicate that the celebrity lives paycheck to paycheck. The SAG strike put her out of work for months and just this week it was announced that her show won’t be picked up for another season.

Anne appeared before Superior Court Judge Gail Ruderman yesterday and was lucky enough to get a temporary reprieve. The judge is allowing Heche to skip her July payment with the understanding that she will need to provide further income and expense information to prove her cash flow situation is legitimate. In court papers Anne stated:

I am continuing to look for work, but I have no offers pending. Since January 18, 2008, I have been unemployed and had no income from employment except for one very short-term contract for a movie role which I received a total of $65,000, approximately the amount I received for one episode of Men in Trees.”

Anne and Coley were married in September 2001 and had their son Homer Heche Laffoon in March 2002. The couple split in January of 2007 amid rumors that Heche dumped her husband for the co-star of Men in Trees James Tupper. The show rode high in ratings until the affair rumors surfaced. It wasn’t long afterward that the series hit the skids.

The actress has exhibited some strange behavior in her past. In 2000, Heche was found wandering in a rural area outside Fresno. Reportedly wearing only a bra and shorts, she rang a strangers door bell, inquired about a gateway to outerspace and asked if she could use their shower.

Prior to her marriage to Coley, the actress was the live-in partner to comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
