Lady Gaga has announced the tour dates for her highly anticipated North American leg of ‘Monster Ball’.

On Monday, the pop sensation unveiled 31 concert dates in the U.S. and Canada, beginning June 28 in Montreal.

The upcoming concerts promise to be “even more eye-popping” than her current shows, according to a statement released by Live Nation’s global touring CEO Arthur Fogel on Monday.

“Lady GaGa has set out to revolutionize pop music and with her new production she continues to do exactly that. We’re thrilled to take the ‘Monster Ball’ to fans around the world.”

Where does one go from here?  Each and every video that artist Lady Gaga puts out is more over the top than the last.  This one is so much so that all 9 minutes of the video are action-packed.

In “Telephone”, Gaga collaborated with Beyonce — double the star power means double the excitement.  This video, by the incredibly talented Lady G, is filled with sex, violence, various states of undress, and language.  We’ll go out on a limb and deem it “not safe for work.”

The video features Gaga in prison, from where she gets bailed out by Beyonce.  They go to a diner where, after a series of events, they kill the guests having dinner.  It ends with Gaga and Beyonce escaping from the police.  The video, which has already received positive reviews from critics, is a nod to Quentin Tarantino for his 2003 film “Kill Bill”.

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has been tapped to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.  She recently announced her plan to wed NHL player Mike Fisher – see engagement photos here.

The former “American Idol” champ and four-time Grammy-award winner won’t be the only one singing America’s praises; Queen Latifa will perform “America the Beautiful” and rock group The Who will be part of the halftime show.

Underwood, who recently got engaged to Ottawa Senator hockey star Mike Fisher, joins other big names who have sung the national anthem at the game, includiing Beyonce, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston.

Super Bowl XLIV will be broadcast Sunday, February 7 on CBS.

Beyonce Knowles, who recently announced she is taking a much needed six month break from music, graces the cover of the February issue of Allure magazine.

The photo shoot was the work of photographer Michael Thompson of New York City.  The accompanying interview covered a number of subjects including the singer’s admission that she no longer needs her alter-ego Sasha Fierce and is sorry she ever coined the word ‘bootylicious’.  Knowles would like to have babies some day but is more interested in relaxing right now.

The talented musician has been accused of being too provocative with her performance costumes while touring in some Asian venues.  While performing in Beijing, she was criticized by the Chinese press – see the photos here.

The February Allure issue will hit newsstands January 26, 2010.

Beyonce is ready for a break.  In fact, she says she needs to “recharge her batteries.”  Next month she will wrap up her 11-month world tour in Trinidad and Tobago and then she’ll kick back for awhile.

The 28-year-old entertainer told USA Today, “It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries.  I’d like to take six months and not go into the studio.  I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.  I’m going to do random things.  I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class and see some movies and Broadway shows.”

It might be easier said than done.  The songstress is married to rapper and businessman Jay-Z, who seems to always be on the go with different projects as well.  No word on whether he will join his wife for a little R&R.

The biggest challenge for her will be staying away from the studio.  She said, “It will be the hardest thing in the world for me to make myself not do an album and shoot a video and turn it in and say, ‘I’m ready!’ I already have all these melodies and ideas in my head.  I have to tell myself, ‘Sit down! Sit down.’”

That strategy seems like a great plan to us!  Leave them missing you and wanting more.  Good luck Beyonce….relax and enjoy!

Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles, has filed for divorce from her husband of 29 years, Mathew Knowles.

The divorce papers were filed with the Harris County Court Clerk on November 11, shortly after Mathew was named in a paternity suit filed by Alexsandra Wright.  The Los Angeles woman claims that he is the father of her unborn child.

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners,” the couple said in a statement to the Associated Press on Friday. “If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

Both parents have been very involved with Beyonce’s career.  Mathew has been her longtime manager, while Tina designed many of the costumes she has worn over the years.

Unless you are living in a hole, you have already heard about rapper Kanye West taking the stage during the Taylor Swift acceptance speech at the VMA’s last week.

Not only did he take away from the young country singers big night but in turn embarrassed singer Beyonce when he boldly announced that it was Beyonce that should be standing up on stage accepting the award.  Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z is now speaking out on the crazy night.

“I just think that is what he believed.  I thought it was rude, I thought it was inappropriate and I told him as much.  I think he was wrong. “

Is he holding a grudge against West?  No.  “The way they’re treating him…he’s on the cover of every paper.  He didn’t kill anybody.  No one got harmed.  (He’s just) a super passionate person.”

The fact is, Jay-Z may have dissed Kanye’s bad behavior, BUT he happens to agree with Kanye about Beyonce’s video being better than Swift’s.  He admitted, “I don’t think he was wrong.”

So there you have it!  Something tells me you wouldn’t want to be scolded by Jay-Z…we’re just saying.

Music giant Billboard has named Beyonce Knowles Woman of the Year.  The singer will be honored in New York City on October 2, when she will accept the coveted award.  Past recipients have been Reba McIntyre and Ciara.

Is it any wonder?  Beyonce has a smash hit Singles Ladies, performed for President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at an inaugural ball in January, starred in the hit movie Obsessed, and has been enjoying a hugely successful arena tour.

Singer Beyonce and husband Jay-Z aren’t seen in public together very often and we are guessing it has something to do with the paparazzi.  On Tuesday night the couple was trying to enjoy a romantic dinner together in Croatia and it didn’t turn out as they had intended.

After finishing their dinner at a restaurant on the Adriatic coast, where they are currently vacationing, all hell broke loose.  A large group of photographers went a little overboard as the couple exited the eatery and the scene was soon out of control.  The security team for the stars stepped in to back them off and a shoving match ensued.

One of the camera men went as far as to throw his tripod at the minders–who in turn threw it in the sea.

The couple escaped unharmed into a speed boat and while pulling away, Jay-Z reportedly gave the group a single finger salute.
