Claire Danes and hubby Hugh Dancy purchased a four-story, 19th century townhouse in New York City’s West Village the same day they sold their loft in Soho.

The seller of their new digs is well-known psychiatrist David Shaffer, who also happens to be the ex-husband of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

According to listing information, the 3,166 square foot Greek revival townhouse was built in the 1880′s and offers generously proportioned rooms perfect for family living or elegant entertaining.

From the listing: The parlor floor is a grand open room with 12 foot ceilings and is the heart of the house. There are 4-5 bedrooms, 4 baths, unusually high ceilings, wonderful mantles, antique floor boards, and tin ceilings throughout the house. In addition there is outdoor space on 3 levels, a courtyard, a terrace off the library and a roof garden with charming Village roof top views.

Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy have received an extra special early Christmas gift. The couple welcomed their first child – a baby boy.

Danes gave birth to son, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, on Monday.

It’s been a great year for the Homeland star; she was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for her performance on the hit show.

Danes, 33, and British actor Dancy, 37, married in France in 2009.

Claire Danes has announced that she is pregnant. This will be the first child for the actress and her British actor husband Hugh Dancy.

The news was confirmed Wednesday by Danes’ rep, Jodi Gottlieb, to PEOPLE.

Last fall the magazine asked Claire if she was thinking about starting a family, “There’s definitely a chance, no plans yet. But yeah, that would be fun.”

Hugh and Claire met while on the set of the film ‘Evening’ and wed in 2009 during in a private ceremony in France.

The power couple have several irons in the fire. Claire’s hit TV series ‘Homeland’ will return for its second season on Sept. 30, and Hugh will star in the upcoming NBC series ‘Hannibal.’

Actress Claire Danes is getting very close to her September wedding day with Hugh Dancy, but one thing is puzzling her…monogamy. Claire is unsure if it is “realistic.”

Claire recently revealed her feelings on the subject to BlackBook magazine. She said, “I was talking to my friend about (whether it) is feasible, is it realistic? I resolved that there isn’t really a better model. We just can’t shake monogamy. It definitely demands a kind of rigor and discipline and selflessness. But it’s so fun.”

Hugh and Claire began dating back in 2007 after they met on the set of Evening. Their wedding will take place in France, the same locale where Dancy proposed to Danes while they were on vacation last December.

Actress Claire Danes and actor Hugh Dancy are engaged to be married. The great looking couple have been dating for a year.

Danes’ rep confirmed the great news to People magazine. The two met on the set while filming Evening in 2007. This will be the first marriage for both.

No further details have been given at this time. We will let you know when the couple firm up their plans for their walk down the aisle.
