Clint and Dina Eastwood

Actor and Director Clint Eastwood‘s wife Dina has entered rehab. After suffering with depression and anxiety she has decided it was time to get help.

Former reporter and television news anchor Dina Eastwood, 47, gained fame on the E! reality show ‘Mrs. Eastwood & Company’ and as a host of ‘Candid Camera.’

Mrs. Eastwood has reportedly entered an exclusive Arizona treatment center to get help with depression and anxiety and is not seeking treatment for substance abuse.

We checked her Twitter page and discovered that she hasn’t updated it since late last year.  At that time she tweeted, “JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER: If you are having an ‘odd’ day; OBSERVE THE STRESS OR CHAOS, DON’T BECOME IT! Luv, Dina”

Clint and Dina wed in 1996 and have a 16-year-old daughter.  They last appeared together at a red carpet event in 2011.

Eastwood, 82, is a large donor at a rehab hospital in Monterrey, CA.  In fact their youth program is named after the actor.  The program specializes in teen drug, alcohol and mental health issues.

It is expected that the Eastwood family will release a statement in response to the TMZ report.

Following a long tradition of celebrity offspring who have handed out the coveted Golden Globe trophies each year, A-list actor Clint Eastwood‘s teen daughter will take on the task shortly after the new year.

Francesca Eastwood, 19, appeared last night at a Globe’s party and said, “I’m a little worried, maybe, about falling over or doing something like that.  I do not want to wear a ball gown, but I think that fancy dresses are reserved for the nominees.  I’m planning on something simple that won’t make me fall over.”

Her mother is actress Frances Fisher, who engaged in a five year relationship with Clint from 2000-2005, though they never married.

Francesca appeared during season one of the E! network series Mrs. Eastwood & Company, starring Clint’s wife Dina Eastwood and their 15-year-old daughter Morgan Eastwood.

Clint’s daughter Kathryn Eastwood served as Miss Golden Globe in 2005 and presented her father with an award for ‘Million Dollar Baby.’  She was born to flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, a woman who carried on a four year affair with the actor while he was still married to actress Sondra Locke.  That secret union also resulted in the birth of a son, Scott Reeves.

Hosting this year’s star-studded Golden Globes event live from the Beverly Hilton will be the comedic duo of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.  The NBC broadcast airs Sunday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT.

Barack Obama told USA Today that the RNC speech delivered by veteran Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood did not offend his political or personal sensibilities.

On the contrary, POTUS claims to be a huge fan of the acting and directing legend.  “One thing about being president or running for president — if you’re easily offended, you should probably choose another profession.”

Eastwood spent eleven minutes sparring with invisible Obama … actually running over his allotted time by a full six minutes.

His Hollywood peers hit Twitter in great numbers to diss or praise Clint, depending upon their particular point of view.

Obama took the opportunity to mock Eastwood’s speech by tweeting a photo featuring himself sitting in a chair during a meeting.  We see just the back of his head and can’t help but notice that a gold nameplate on the back of said chair is engraved “The President.”  He tagged it: “This seat’s taken.”

Check it out below:

There was excitement in the air Thursday night at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.  Everyone was buzzing about “mystery speaker” Clint Eastwood … before AND after his 11-minute conversation with an empty chair.

Eastwood, 82, set the stage by telling us that President Barack Obama was seated next to the podium and then he proceeded to argue with POTUS.

The celebrity Twitter crowd felt the need to respond and they weren’t all in support of the man of the hour.

Adam Levine: “Clint Eastwood has gone f**kin nutterbutters yo.”

Roger Ebert: “Clint, my hero, is coming across as sad and pathetic.  He didn’t need to do this to himself.  It’s unworthy of him.”

Rachel Maddow: “Looking at Rubio & Romney but all I can see is the Clint Eastwood performance art that just happened on that stage.  What were they thinking?”

Bob Newhart: “I heard that Clint Eastwood was channeling me at the RNC.  My lawyers are drafting our lawsuit…”

Olivia Munn: “Clint Eastwood was talking to an empty chair at the RNC…No, that’s not the set up for a joke.  It’s not even a joke.”

George Takei: “Clint Eastwood’s RNC speech was to imaginary Obama in an empty chair.  I’m drafting a DNC speech to imaginary Romney in an empty factory.”

Not everyone took a negative view:

Kirstie Alley: “I just saw Clint Eastwood’s speech and I LOVED it!!  Funny as hell & on point!! & I’m a Democrat.. US media is SO biased in favor of Dems.”

Janine Turner: “I thought Clint Eastwood’s presence was electrifying and I praise him for being a Hollywood actor & taking a stand!  Thanks Clint Eastwood!”

Check out the video and decide for yourself … was he spot-on or did he miss the mark by a mile?

Rumors are swirling over the identity of a surprise “mystery” speaker who will take the podium tonight during the final night of the Republican National Convention in Tampa.  Those in the know say it will be Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood.

Things got interesting on Monday when a revised convention schedule included a “To Be Announced” speaker.

Fox News has since reported that a Republican source “confirmed” it is in fact famed actor and director Eastwood, who publicly endorsed Romney in early August.

Other rumor mill favs have included Christian conservative NFL QB Tim Tebow or an appearance by the late Ronald Reagan as a 3-D hologram.

Film critic Roger Ebert tweeted, “If Clint Eastwood *isn’t* the Mystery Guest, anyone else will be a crushing disappointment.”
