Miami Vice actor Colin Farrell has had enough of “big screen” Hollywood. So if you are a fan, don’t expect to see Colin in any blockbuster films. To much pressure and not enough fulfillment.

There are many stars that aren’t able to admit when they can’t handle the heat that comes from possibly making or breaking a movie. Farrell had this to say:

“You have decided to walk into a world where the most important thing is financial return, and you are going to get a call on Saturday telling you what the Friday opening was.”

If more actors and actresses were honest about the amount of pressure they were under, maybe we would see less stars heading into rehab or psych wards.

Colin Farrell has revealed that his 4-year-old son James was born with a rare form of cerebral palsy called Angelman Syndrome, which affect his speech and motor skills. James took his first steps a few weeks ago and Farrell said “when he took the first steps it was incredibly emotional, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”

The actor says he feels “incredibly blessed” to have James in his life and is determined to help his son reach his own “individual potential” and to be “as happy as he can be.”

James was born months after Colin Farrell became involved in the Special Olympics, and the irony is not lost on him. “Its mad the way the world works. It’s bizarre. I experienced the overwhelming effect of being around those athletes pretty much just before my son was born with special needs.”

Although busy with the demands of Hollywood, Colin is determined to spend as much time with his son as he can.
