Is Criss Angel Dead? NOPE! (Mindfreak Season 5 Blooper Video)

Is Criss Angel dead? Did Criss Angel die? These questions are being Googled with a vengeance today, and thankfully they are apparently without merit. Admittedly the illusionist hasn’t ‘tweeted’ for ten hours but give the guy a break….everyone needs a little down time.

His last Twitter message reported that he was at Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace in Vegas and prior to that he stopped off at hot spot Tryst at the Wynn Hotel and Casino.

Actually the rumors were running rampant because of the season four final episode of Mindfreak that showed the magician trapped inside a car that explodes into flames – see video below.

Season 5 of his popular A&E network reality show premieres on Wednesday night, August 12 at 10pm/9pm central. The 5-part event is being billed as The 5 Lives of Criss Angel Mindfreak.

The show has released some video out-takes that are being referred to as Mindfreak Bloopers. Check it out below.

The former Girls Next Door star Holly Madison and illusionist Criss Angel have split. The two hooked up at the end of last year following the much publicized breakup of Holly and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Things seem to change quite fast for Madison, who said just a few weeks ago that she has moved on and is working hard to start a new life for herself in Las Vegas.

A source close to the blonde beauty said:

“She was very much in love with him (Angel) and they are still very close friends. But it was a conflict of schedules. She felt she couldn’t devote 100 percent of her time to him in Vegas, at the expense of her own career and her goals.”

No one should be called upon to give someone else 100% of their time because that is called smothering! In any case, we can’t wait to see who she hooks up with next.

Holly Madison Quits Playboy Editor Job

All good things must come to an end and that includes the association of Girls Next Door star Holly Madison with the Playboy organization. Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriend has resigned from her editorial job at Playboy magazine.

Taking her thoughts to Celebrity MySpace, Holly says she isn’t feeling bad about any of the decisions she has made and is working hard to start a new life for herself in Las Vegas with her illusionist boyfriend Criss Angel. He performs his magic act five night a week at the Luxor hotel and casino.

Holly said the job as editor was great fun and very rewarding while it lasted, though the pay was poor. The amount of money that she was making just wasn’t enough to fund her frequent commutes to and from Vegas. In the end, the job became “routine” and had lost the challenge that it once provided.

Oh, and another thing. She admits that things got “awkward” with octogenarian Hef. The blonde beauty wishes her new replacement well.

Holly Madison and Criss Angel were on hand for the Liongate Premiere of Repo! The Genetic Opera. The event was held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and we’ve got the photos below.

Now that NFL football star Hank Baskett has become engaged to Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson, Holly is do doubt putting some pressure on her magician man to follow suit.

Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas played host to the black carpet premiere last night for magician and illusionist Criss Angel’s show Criss Angel Believe.

If Girl Next Door Holly Madison is trying to deny reports that she and Criss are an item, maybe she shouldn’t have posed provocatively beside the magician. The rumors began last month when Holly and Criss were seen cuddling in Vegas. Check out that photo here.

Good ol’ Hugh Hefner isn’t sitting around waiting for his next dream girl. Check out his new twin girlfriends Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Renew Their Vows in Vegas

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were in Las Vegas over the weekend to take in Criss Angel’s Believe show at Cirque Du Soleil at Luxor. After the performance they joined Angel at a VIP table at LAX nightclub in the same hotel casino complex.

The show is billed as “a haunting exploration of the mind of Criss Angel….not recommended for the faint of heart.” Angel has received his share of media coverage as the guy who took Holly Madison away from Playboy icon Hugh Hefner. Check out that story and photos here.

Lopez and Anthony, staying at Caesars Palace in the newly renovated Forum Tower Penthouse, decided to renew their wedding vows after leaving Luxor. They were able to secure the services of Reverend Steven Smith and at 3:15 a.m. this morning, they did in fact get married again. The exchanging of vows was reportedly witnessed by two of their friends.

Their spur-of-the-moment decision to renew their vows is shades of Britney Spears in her infamous 55 hour marriage to Jason Alexander. The two, after a night of partying at the Palms, headed across town to The Little White Chapel in the dead of night in 2004.

But we digress. JLo and Anthony are the parents of twins Max and Emme who were born in February 2008. Jennifer competed in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon a month ago.

Criss Angel and Holly Madison Rumors Heating Up (Photos)

Crissangel.com has been bombarded with fans looking for information on Criss Angel’s rumored hot romance with Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend Holly Madison. The Girls Next Door celebrity was caught getting cozy with the magician in the grainy photo seen below.

According to Executive Producer Ken Burns, there is no truth to the rumor that Madison has turned her back on her octagenarian boyfriend Hef. He said “I really don’t know where this stuff comes from.”

In any case, Criss Angel is busy with A&E, the network that features show Criss Angel Mindfreak. As both star and creator of the show, the illusionist has taken Las Vegas by storm since 2005 when the show first premiered with stunts that had him walking on water, levitating above the Luxor Hotel, floating between two buildings, surviving an explosion, cutting himself in half and getting run over by a steamroller.

He attemped to jump out of a prisoner transport vehicle in season 3 and fell off a cliff, injuring his neck. Production was halted for two weeks while he recovered. Season four debuted in July 2008 and he is under contract to produce two more seasons.

Criss Angel will be starring in a live Cirque du Soleil show called Criss Angel Believe. Preview performances of the show will begin September 26th through October 2008. The show officially opens on October 31, 2008. He is said to have been working on this show for 15 years and it will give audiences a look inside the mind of Criss Angel.

Pamela and Criss in December at LAX nightclub

Pammy was seen on Saturday night at Sir Elton John’s concert in Washington, playing kissy face with Criss Angel. This isn’t the first time that magician’s assistant Pamela Anderson has been linked to an illusionist.

Following her December split with husband #3 Rick Salomon (not that we are counting), the blonde beauty was seen partying, Pamela Anderson style, at LAX nightclub and rumors were that the two were hooking up.

Remember the “MTV Video Music Awards?” I was just kidding – who could forget the night where Britney Spears overdosed on her slow motion pills.

Criss Angel “Mind Freak” is finally speaking out about Britney Spears and her not so magical appearance. Angel was supposed to be working with Spears to make her first appearance on stage in years memorable and memorable it was – just not with Criss (lucky for him).

“We were supposed to do a creation of stuff that we worked on and it took a lot of dedication and work to do the things that we wanted to do,” Criss, recalls exclusively to “OK!” Britney’s planned VMA performance. “Unfortunately for me, she didn’t really want to put forth that type of effort.”

Criss, also told OK! “Basically I said, ‘Don’t worry about me. Do what you want to do. This is a big opportunity for you to do the VMAs, so if you don’t feel it, go with something else.’ And she chose to go with something else.”

Ya know, it was probably a really super smart thing for Britney to stick with her own ideas, because nobody really likes magic.

Britney Will Open the MTV’s VMA Awards

It has been confirmed by People Magazine that Britney Spears will open the MTV’s VMA Music Awards. I have been waiting on posting this exciting news, just in case something came up for Britney. Also, just wanted to say I did some research and Britney has been wearing her shirt for a dress for sometime now (see picture above). A producer of the awards made the following statement:

“I wanted to start the show in a very big and dramatic way, and she’s the one to do that,” VMA executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic tells MTV.com. “She’ll captivate everyone, and set the tone for rest of the night.”

Spears consulted with illusionist Criss Angel on “some moments of the performance” for Sunday night’s show at the Palms Hotel and Casino, says Ignjatovic, who also confirmed that she’ll perform her single “Gimme More” from her upcoming album.

“You can expect the things we want and expect from Britney – that will all be there,” he says. “What I’ve see of it is great. She’ll be dancing, performing, dong her thing. That’s exactly what we all want.”

Spears has been frequently spotted with Angel in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, most recently at the opening of LAX Nightclub last weekend at the Luxor.
