Celebrities and their Kids: Weekend Edition PHOTOS

There were lots of sightings of celebrities with their kids on Saturday in Hollywood and Santa Monica. A number of celeb’s and their offspring were at Fred Segal for the official launch of the New Disney & Muppet Myzos event. Among them were Denise Richards and her daughters Sam and Lola, Calista Flockhart and her son Liam, Emily Grace Reaves, Noah Cyrus, Lionel Ritchie and his daughter Sophia.

Also out and about were Gwen Stefani and her young son Zuma, while a nanny played with older son Kingston Rossdale at a local park. Also hanging at the park were Minnie Driver and Henry.

Marcia Cross and one of her twins were headed to Color Me Mine art studio for a little artistic adventure. Octomom Nadya Suleman managed to slip away from home with just two of her flock of fourteen. She and her daughter visited a Starbucks, and in another photo, Nadya is receiving a chair massage and pedicure. Her son displays a devilish grin as he manipulates the remote control.

Denise Richards Promises Not to Sing Again

Last week, former Dancing With the Stars contestant Denise Richards was given the honor of singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame at Wriggly Park in Chicago to kick off the Cubs and Marlins game.

Needless to say, it didn’t go over as planned and what Denise thought would be great fun ultimately came with much criticism. Some fans called it the worst version ever and said she was awful.

Why would Denise put herself under that kind of scrutiny? Richards had a booth set up at the Friday night game to promote kidney cancer awareness and in return the Cub’s official asked her to perform for the crowd.

Trying to save face, Richards said she knows she doesn’t have a great voice, but it was for a good cause. Getting out there took everything she had and the actress feels bad that it had to turn so negative.

It came down to a dance off between Holly Madison and partner Dmitry Chaplin vs Denise Richards and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. When all of the scores had been tallied for week three, it was determined that the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen had danced her last.

The judges gave Richards a score of 20 on the redo of her Salsa, while Holly earned 18 points for her Samba. After viewer votes were factored it, the scale tipped in favor of the former Playboy model and reality television star, who earned the chance to dance for yet another week.

Lil’ Kim caused a bit of a stir during Wk 3 when she revealed her au naturale arm pits. Photos here.

We bet Charlie Sheen’s new bride Brooke Mueller went to sleep with a big smile on her face after her marriage to the actor on May 30th. For now she’s still in her husband’s good graces. The couple exchange vows at a beautiful Beverly Hills estate in front of 68 close friends and family, including Sheen’s three daughters, Cassandra, 23, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3.

Sheen is tired of the drama that has surrounded his world since his split with actress Denise Richards and wants her to move on with her life just like he and Brooke did. Comparing his three marriages, he told OK! :

I was telling a couple of friends last night that this feels like my first real marriage. The first one was a show, the second one was a con, and this one is the real deal.”

Charlie says that he is devoted to Brooke and has a new sense of commitment in his life. Vowing to never speak of Richards in public again, he admitted:

I’m so tired of talking about her and all her shenanigans. It is what it is. I don’t even care anymore. I’m going to take a stand to basically never utter her name publicly again, and I think if that’s known, it will put an end to some of the drama.”

Sheen’s marriage to model Donna Peele was short lived. The couple met in NYC where they were filming a sexy cigarette commercial together. Their wedded bliss lasted a short 6 months and the divorce was finalized 6 months later. Cassandra Jade Estevez is Sheen’s daughter by ex girlfriend Paula Profit. Sheen’s legal name is Carlos Estevez.

Denise Richards Comments Trigger Charlie Sheen Rant

Denise Richards has been making the rounds on the morning talk show circuit this week to promote her new reality television show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated. She is also attempting to improve her public image after being dragged through the mud by her former best friend and former husband. Her tentative and stilted responses to interviewer questions aren’t leaving the impression she might have been trying to convey.

Most interviewers, including Matt Lauer and Whoopie Goldberg, questioning the advisability of putting her young daughters in the spotlight on her new show. Denise seemed a little wishy washy in explaining that having them near her on the show is a good thing. When pressed, she asked the interviewers whether they had seen the first aired segment because she felt the girls initial experience in front of the camera was short-lived and appropriate.

Richards says that she did not break up Heather Lockler’s marriage to Richie Sambora, although she says she can understand why people think that. The two women were best friends until both marriages imploded at about the same time.

Things got more interesting when Today Show host Lauer asked Richards about the e-mail that she had reportedly sent to ex-husband Charlie Sheen’s girlfriend Brooke requesting a sperm sample so that she could have another baby that would be a full sibling to her daughters. Richards said the e-mail was doctored and that if she had been considering having another child, she would have asked Richie Sambora to be the sperm donor, because the two were in a relationship at that time.

Richards indicates that she never considered having another child, and had all she could do holding things together because her mother was gravely ill with cancer and Richards spent most of her time helping with her care. Her mother died in December 2007.

Charlie Sheen must have taken in the interviews this morning because he is hopping mad and has already issued a statement to Matt Lauer at the Today Show. Calling Denise’s revelations absurd he released the following statement:

The mere fact the she continues to publicly discuss and harass both Brooke and me three years after our separation which, for the record is longer than the actual length of the marriage, is beyond desperate and speaks volumes.

I will no longer sit back and be egregiously painted as a liar. If any proof can be established that these are not in fact her words and statements verbatim, I openly invite her and would even encourage Ms. Richards to sue me in a court of law.”

It seems that Charlie boy has jumped into the deep end of the pool. There was nothing vindictive or accusatory in Denise’s tone. She seemed reluctant rather than vengeful. Several times she apologized for wading into a certain line of questioning and said she really shouldn’t respond but would answer only because her ex and his girlfriend had already spoken on the topics. Perhaps she knew that no matter what she said, her ex would take exception, and he did just that.

Given his immediate rage, it seems likely that Richards is questioning the wisdom of granting interviews on the subject of crazy Charlie. She admits that she has made some mistakes in the past and her recent interviews are no exception.

Denise Richards reportedly sets the record straight in the June issue of REDBOOK. The latest issue will hit stands on May 13th. She dishes on her divorce from Charlie Sheen, her relationship with Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear and her decision to star in a reality television show on E! with her young daughters Sam and Lola.

Denise Richards: It’s Complicated debuts on May 26, 2008. The actress has received criticism for exploiting her young children by exposing them to reality TV. Ex husband Charlie Sheen tried to get the courts to step in but lost that battle. Sheen and Brooke Mueller will wed on May 30th.

Richards says that she’s rather be with the children all day than be accused of neglecting them while she’s working but acknowledges that it’s a no win situation where the media is concerned. She told REDBOOK:

I’m 37 years old, divorced with two kids, and my ex-husband is Charlie Sheen. I obviously have a lot of crap to get through right now, and I want a partner who understands all of this and still wants to be with me through the journey.”

Heather Locklear, 46, and Denise Richards, 37, used to be best buds. That all ended after Denise hooked up with Heather’s ex Richie Sambora. Though the relationship eventually waned, the rivalry continues between the once close neighbors and confidants.

Denise and her young daughters by ex husband Charlie Sheen, are currently working with Ryan Seacrest Productions on the development of a reality television show that will appear on E! this summer. The project will show the actress and her children getting their lives back on track after the marital split. Seacrest’s production company also produces Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which has recently been picked up for a second season.

Heather and her daughter are also working through some issues. Ten year old Ava was in the car with her father, Sambora, last month when he was arrested for DUI. He has apparently escaped a charge of child endangerment. His next court appearance on May 7, 2008.

Speculation about Locklear mental state was raised after a 911 call came in to LAPD on March 10th, indicating that a woman had threatened suicide. Paramedics were turned away by the actress, who reported that everything was fine at the residence. The call was reportedly made by Locklear’s personal physician who was concerned for her well being after speaking to her in an earlier phone call.

Richards and Locklear have both made a media splash this week with bikini photos in Hawaii. Because of their rivalry, we decided to do a side by side comparison. It is obvious that both women are in excellent physical condition – no doubt making time for workouts on a regular basis. Nine years separate the pair so if we have to chose, we’d say the nod must go to Locklear at age 46, who can still wear a bikini with no worries.

Can’t say that Denise Richards is at the top of my list of favorite actors ex-wives – but I am sure I will watch at least one episode of her new reality show coming out this summer. If anything, to give me more ammo to write about.

Her new still untitled show ~~Denise Richards crazy and single~~ is being produced by Ryan Seacrest’s ~~Closet Company~~ company. Richards will be calling the shots on content because she has a title – Executive Producer.

Ryan couldn’t keep his mouth shut about some exciting details about the show. Not only will we get to see Denise go to the courthouse and get her name changed so she is no longer Denise Sheen, we will get to be there when she has her Charlie tattoo transformed into a fairy – perhaps in honor of her new best friend Ryan Seacrest. There is so much more to share but I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

Denise Richards really must have a complex about what society thinks of her. In a new reality show produced by Ryan Seacrest to air on E! , Denise will let us into her life and that of her kids, Lola and Sam.

Richards wants the world to see how she actually lives with her children, her 10 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and 2 pot bellied pigs. The show will evidently chronicle her life. Does anyone really care?

Denise said “I want people to see what I am really like and then judge for themselves,” Denise said. “And then if they still hate me, then that’s their choice.”

So I am guessing we won’t see Denise stealing any of her friends husband’s and probably won’t see her fighting with her ex husband Charlie Sheen. So what else is there?

Denise Richards to Face Off in Court with Charlie Sheen

Just when you think that the fighting between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen had died down, it starts again. This time it is over a reality show that Denise wants to be in with her two daughters, Sam(3) and Lola(2). Sheen, on the other hand, wants his children to have no part of it.

Who can blame him! I would say no too. Those kids are 2 and 3; it is not like they can chose for themselves. So it looks like we will see the couple back in court soon. A source close to Sheen spoke with Extra:

“This goes against everything that Sheen believes in…and he feels it is exploitive of the children for the mother’s own vanity and greed.”

It sounds like Richards plans to ask the judge to revoke Sheen’s power of father in this situation. Yeah, I am sure that is going to happen and Britney will regain full custody. The photo above seems to tell a different story about Richards’ daughters’ desire to be in front of a camera.
