Diddy’s Close Encounter With a Loaded Gun

Sean Combs aka Diddy and his posse caused a commotion around 3 a.m. this morning while cruising the Sunset Strip. Never going too small, Diddy was with an entourage of four cars and one of them didn’t have proper tags so the cops pulled him over.

Sounds simple enough right? Not really. When the car was pulled over the other three cars pulled over too. Why you might ask? Who knows why Diddy does what he does. At any rate, the sheriff’s department, who anticipated trouble, quickly called for back-up. This caused the driver of the second car to become extremely agitated – which resulted in his being unceremoniously dumped into the backseat of the squad.

Diddy decides it might be a good time to let his presence be known as he and the rest of his men decide got out of their respective cars. The cops were unaware that Combs was in the mix and one officer drew his gun.

Things were quickly resolved and calmer heads prevailed. In a fairytale ending, no one got busted and everyone went away none the worse for wear. Phew! That was a close call.

Gun Shots Fired at Hollywood Party

Jermaine Dupri hosted an after party at an Atlanta hotspot Club Dream that turned crazy just a few hours ago. Several gunshots were reportedly fired, causing the scene to become chaotic.

Diddy was at the party and was seen running for cover with champagne still in hand, followed closely by his bodyguards. Other stars who made a quick exit were Usher, Gabrielle Union and Larenz Tate.

Police are reporting that there was only one minor injury. No arrests have been made thus far.

P.Diddy or Puff Daddy, Sean Combs Can’t Decide (Photos)

Sean Combs, the hip-hop mogul, has used a host of moniker over time from Puff to Puffy to Puff Daddy to P. Diddy to Diddy and is sending out signals that he may be morphing back to Puff Daddy.

Combs recently signed in to his MySpace page using the old name. He also made a recent guest appearance to promote a new single, a remix of former stylist O’Neal McKnight’s single Check Your Coat. On it he rapped:

They call me Puff Daddy…he’s back. Yeah, you heard me right –I said Puff Daddy, I’m about to back on that Puff Daddy s–t.”

It sounds like he’s just throwing it out there and is still not totally sold on bringing the old handle back into service after retiring it in 2001. In a new MySpace page blog entry, he wrote:

This is your boy P. Diddy, the King of the Remix…”

Combs legal team recently sent a cease and desist letter to a cuff link business operating the website Cuff-Daddy.com, telling them that the name was too close to his alternate stage name. Another slight twist that might be causing the resurrection of Daddy is a British court decision in 2006 that says Combs can’t go by Diddy in the U.K. because a record producer Richard Diddy Dearlove have been using the name professionally long before Daddy became Diddy.

The very latest MySpace entry adds to the confusion:

It’s your boy Diddy comin’ to you live to straighten out a rumor that’s out there on the Internet. It’s being blogged all over the world. Check this out. Your boy has not changed his name. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. I want to stress and kind of ask the people in the power positions — the bloggers and the outlets, the reporters — let’s utilize our time with something more important than if I changed my name. There are millions of Americans out there that are not registered to vote. Let’s utilize our power through your blogs to get these guys registered to vote and let’s make sure that they vote on my birthday, November 4. That’s my birthday present that I want from all you guys.”

It appears that Combs is messing with his fans or he’s in the midst of a major identity crisis. You can decide for yourself.

Prince went through a similar metamorphosis from Prince Rogers Nelson to Prince to an unpronounceable love symbol that his fans turned into TAFKAP (The Artist Formerly Known As Prince) and back to Prince in 2000.

Tracey Edmonds Says Diddy is the Man for Her

Tracey Edmonds, who was kind of married to comedian/actor Eddie Murphy for a few days, is gushing over new ‘love’ Diddy.

Starting the New Year off with a big bang, Edmonds married boyfriend Eddie in Bora Bora in front of their close friends and family. The union didn’t last long enough to get back to the U.S. to make the nuptials official.

Although Diddy and Tracey have only been on a few dates, she says:

Diddy is the funniest man I’ve ever met. I’m so lucky to find someone so soon after Eddie.”

I smell heartbreak! It seems it little too early to be making statements on their ‘relationship’. That isn’t stopping Edmonds, who continued gushing:

It’s early days – we’ve only been on three or four dates – but he’s whisked me off my feet. I don’t know about wedding bells but he’s definitely the man for me.”

This story has unhappy ending written all over it. Obviously, Edmonds doesn’t get out much if she thinks Diddy is going to commit to her. Has she not heard of Kim Porter, the mother of some of Diddy’s kids? If Kim couldn’t get him to settle down and make a commitment, what makes Tracey think he’s the one for her? Good Luck!

Diddy’s Twin Girls 1st Birthday (Photos)

Sean Diddy Combs, record producer, actor, rapper is also father to twin baby girls, who just turned one year old. This adorable picture of the chubby little sweethearts needs to be shared with our readers.

D’Lila Star Combs and Jessie James Combs were born to Diddy, 38, and his ex girlfriend Kim Porter on December 21, 2006. The couple, unfortunately, split in July 2007 after a 10 year relationship. They also have a 10 year old son, Christian Combs. Diddy has another son, 13 year old Justin, with Misa Hylton-Brim.

Diddy told Us Weekly that the girls are standing up and discovering everything. He says that his heart melts when he looks at them. We can certainly see why.

We’ve got pictures of Combs handsome sons and a photo of Diddy with Kim, showing the couple in happier times.

Just when I thought I had heard it all – I came across a Diddy story. Diddy was at a party for Ciroc Vodka and took a little time to speak with US magazine about Jennifer Lopez‘ pregnancy.

Diddy thinks Jennifer Lopez is going to be a “great mother.” Thinking back on old times he remembered that she was one of the most caring people he knew.

The best part of the interview is when Diddy declared “I am extremely happy for her, and I will be sending some expensive god-daddy presents to her baby.”

What the crap? God-daddy? I bet that was Marc Anthony’s idea. I think Diddy needs to spend some of his fortune on condoms, so he stops becoming a daddy every 10 minutes. The picture above is for old time sake, I bet she misses her gangster days.

Diddy’s a Doozie

Sean “Diddy” Combs, P Diddy, Puffy Combs or whatever the heck his name is right now, got into a fight yesterday. Diddy was at an afterparty in SoHo at “Kiosk” on Spring Street, where he evidentially punched a man twice in the face.

The argument was with an acquaintance Steven Acevedo. Sean Combs punching bag Acevedo told cops that the two stepped away from each other, but resumed exchanging heated insults minutes later and that an irate Combs then threw a classic syncopated one-two combo – hitting him in the face twice while screaming, “I’ll kill you, punk!”

This isn’t Sean Combs first brush with the law and I am sure it won’t be his last. I think Diddy thinks he’s invincible (just look at all of the kids he keeps having). I would like to see his picture in a line up, it will be interesting to see if charges are filed.

Kim Porter Was Betrayed by Diddy

Kim Porter was not the only woman giving birth to Diddy’s child. Five months prior to Kim giving birth to twin girls Sarah Chapman also gave birth to child also conceived with Diddy. In Essence Magazine October Issue Kim tells all. Read some of what she had to say about the betrayal:

“As Black women we sacrifice,” Porter, 36, tells “Essence”Part one of her interview was posted on Essence.com last week.) “We stand by our man, through thick and thin, through whatever. But if you feel like, ‘Maybe I am getting the short end of the stick,’ that’s when a change has to take place.” magazine for its October issue, which hits newsstands Wednesday. (Porter’s rudest awakening in all her years with Combs, 37, took place late last year, when she was pregnant with the couple’s twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, who were born Dec. 21. That was when a girlfriend informed her that Combs had recently fathered a baby with another woman.

“I wasn’t even coming from the place of who, what, why,” Porter tells the magazine. “I laid low and did what women do: I did my background work, collected information [about the other woman]. But I wasn’t even on it like that because I was pregnant, and what was bubbling inside me was a blessing from God. I couldn’t let my energy be on that. I didn’t have time for any drama, trauma and bull—-.”

As Porter was to learn, the other baby was born five months before Porter and Combs’s twins arrived. The mother was Sarah Chapman, 33, who lives in Atlanta, worked in fashion and knew Combs for several years, her attorney tells “Essence”.

Of Combs’s behavior, says Porter, “It’s not an original script. He’s not the first man who’s cheated. He’s not the first man who’s had a baby outside of his relationship. He’s not the originator of this. But at this point in my life – I have girls now – it’s a different program.”

Porter expresses regret that she didn’t first hear about the other child directly from Combs (who declined to speak to “Essence” for the article and did not return calls from PEOPLE for comment). “I would have preferred to find out from him because that’s a man,” she says. “I know it’s hard for anyone to say to their significant other, ‘I’ve gotten into some s— and I got a baby on the way.’ But men do get caught up in things; I’m not naive to that. Still, there’s a right and a wrong way to handle it. Because, most of all, we were friends. Even if I couldn’t have understood it as a woman, I would have understood it as a friend.”

Ultimately, Combs did approach Porter with the news, but it was after their twins were born, she says.

“He told me that he may have gotten himself into a situation and he may have fathered another child outside the relationship and I said, ‘Really? Well, I already knew. I’m glad you decided to be a man,’ ” recalls Porter. “I was like, ‘Dude, this is so wack I can’t even respect you right now.’ And for me, once the respect is gone, I’m not even listening to you.”

But as things finally played out, she says her choice to leave Diddy was simply because the relationship was not working for her. “I’m a Southern girl, and my home life is numero uno,” she says. “I wasn’t waking up feeling happy. There’s no other way for me to articulate it, other than a feeling. I just wasn’t feeling it, that’s why I had to leave.”

Kim Porter Opens up on Split From Diddy

In a recent interview with Essence Magazine, Kim Porter opened up about her split from Diddy.

Confirming to Essence.com that, despite their number of years together, she waited until Combs was out of town before packing up the house and taking everything – including the cars, the kitchen table and the nursery furniture for their youngsters – “because there was no other way. You think he would have let me walk out the door? He wouldn’t have wanted me to go,” she says.

“I wanted to be dramatic. I wanted him to know I wasn’t breaking up with him for two weeks – or maybe leaving for two days. If I pack up everything – twins and all – it means I’m out! Puffy’s an action person, not a talk person. So I had to have an action. Telling him, ‘Babe, I’m leaving ?’ was not gonna do it.”

As for why she ended the relationship, she says, after being asked about rumors that Combs fathered a child with another woman, “Hmmm … Well, that definitely was part of it.”

But, she also says, “I left because at this point in my life I want something different for myself. I invested 10 years, I have children, and I’ve always stood by him. But now it’s time for me and what I want to do for Kim.”

When contacted by PEOPLE, a rep for Diddy said: “We’re not commenting.”

Porter, 36, and Combs, 37, are parents to son Christian, 9, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, born Dec. 21. (Combs also has another son, Justin, 13, with stylist Misa Hylton-Brim; Porter has a teenage son, Quincy, with singer Al B. Sure.)

Asked if she’d marry Combs if he asked her, Porter replies, “I would say ‘No.’ And not because I don’t want to get married, but because he’s not ready to get married. When I get married, I want to stay married. I want both parties to be on the same page at the same time, and to leave a certain type of behavior behind. That’s a commitment I don’t think he’s ready for.”

Which is not to say the two are feuding. Over the Labor Day weekend, the former couple and their twins were playing together at his annual White Party in New York’s East Hampton.

And, as Porter tells Essence.com: “You know how when two people go their separate ways, most of the time there’s animosity? It’s not like that with us. Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. It’s not about ‘if you’re faithful to me, if I’m being faithful to you.’ We’re friends. I’m the person he can tell his inner most thoughts to, and he’s that person for me. He still calls me everyday and we talk.”

She adds, “There’s no ill feeling or ‘I can’t stand you, I hate you, don’t call.’ There’s none of that. We have three children together so that’s just not an option. We’re committed to our children even if we couldn’t commit to each other.”

Diddy and Sienna Miller – Things that Make You Go Hmmmm

There has been much speculation about the breakup of Diddy and longtime girlfriend and baby mama Kim Porter, and his rumored, but denied, relationship with Sienna Miller. Interestingly enough, Diddy and Miller are both currently spending some down time on Ibeza.
