Ungaro Blames Lindsay Lohan For Fashion House Ruin

When Lindsay Lohan decided to change career paths, she went to work for Emanuel Ungaro at his couture house. The actress was hired to advise the empire on a fashion line.

Emanuel called it a “disaster”, during an appearance at a film festival on Monday night in Lisbon. He lamented, “I am furious but I can’t do anything about it.” Ungaro no longer has contact with the fashion house even though it holds his name. His reason? He stated simply, “It is in the process of losing it soul” because of hiring Lohan. Ouch!

Lohan was brought in to work with Estrella Archs as a consultant. Their creations were display on the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week last month. The press had a field day with it and called the line an “embarrassment.”

The introduction of Lohan, meant to give the label publicity, was a huge risk that failed to produce the desired result and instead unleashed disaster and ruin. Emanuel says that this often happens when designers give up their “houses” and bring in advisers.

Oh man, Michael Lohan is somewhere right now putting new batteries into his tape recorder while waiting for Dina to call him.

Kelly Brook Nude Ralph Lauren Ad Campaign Photos

English model Kelly Brook, 29, is featured in an upcoming ad campaign for Ralph Lauren, and from the looks of these newly released pictures from the photo shoot, the designer is going for the minimalist look, since Brook is completely nude, except for a few strategically-placed pink hydrangeas and a pair of high heels.

The “Strictly Come Dancing” star also posed in sports bra and briefs.

So, is it a still a fashion shoot if the model isn’t wearing any clothes?

Holly Madison Fashion Blunder (PHOTOS)

Holly Madison hit the red carpet at the premiere of The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard at Planet Hollywood on Wednesday night. Her ‘interesting’ gown resembled a Halloween costume of the witch variety. We’re just saying….

The former Playboy model was all smiles as she posed for photos. We like her much better in the form fitting little black number that she wore at another event in mid-July.

Jessica Simpson Intimate Lingerie Line Hits Stores

It’s all about feeling good for Jessica Simpson when it comes to her new lingerie line. The singer has partnered up with the Camuto Group and Vandale to launch an intimate collection that reflects her fashion tastes, which she describes as sexy with a hint of fun.

Jessica considers herself to be a “lingerie aficionado” and is certain that what she wears to bed sets the tone for how she wakes in the morning. Jessica shared her candid views with Women’s Wear Daily about her collection.

“It is important to me personally…to be able to wear my own line. Vandale is developing a great collection on feminine, sexy, regular and full-figured bras which are going to be amazing. We are also working on a great sleepwear collection that I know I will live in. We have focused on using really soft fabrics that feel good against your skin. The whole line centers around great basics for every day that are comfortable and fit your body. We spent a lot of time on the details. I really want to make this line special.”

Jon Gosselin in France with Hailey Glassman

This seems like an odd fit to us but rumor has it that famous clothing designer Christian Audigier, of the Ed Hardy clothing line, has set up a meeting with Jon & and Kate Plus 8 celeb Jon Gosselin to discuss a business opportunity.

The two met in St. Tropez, France at the end of last week, and spent time aboard the fashion designer’s yacht. Initially we believed it was all about Jon but have since discovered that he orchestrated an introductory meeting between Audigier and his new 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, too.

He and Glassman plan to launch a new line of kids clothing and Jon apparently felt comfortable hooking her up with the Ed Hardy people. We know that Gosselin has been sporting some clothing from the EH line and have now discovered that he has a definite tie to Audigier.

It appears that Audigier has agreed to work with the pair, allowing them direct access to him. The hook is that the eight Gosselin children will appear in all of the ads, wearing the togs from the new line. Presumably Kate Gosselin is on board with Jon’s new enterprise. He is due back in Pennsylvania on Tuesday to start filming new episodes which will begin airing on August 3.

The sweatshirt shown above that Jon has worn on Jon & Kate Plus 8 probably set him back $275 and the edgy designer jeans at $150 (see below) that he was sporting on the show in early June are also a spendy proposition. Audigier is obviously pleased to see clothing from the Ed Hardy line being worn by the high profile father of eight.

UPDATE: A rep for the Ed Hardy line says that there is no kids clothing line being planned between Audigier and Gosselin. He says he was simply “taking care of” Gosselin and his new girlfriend while they were vacationing. Sweet….

Now that isn’t what reporters heard from Gosselin when he passed through customs on his return to the U.S. Jon said he had paperwork to go through before a deal could be struck on a kid’s clothing line. We’re guessing he has to have Kate sign off on anything involving the use of their children in print ads – and she likely will want a cut in that action. We’re just saying…

Gosselin was first seen sneaking around Manhattan with Hailey in late May and things have obviously heated up. She is the daughter of Kate’s tummy tuck doctor Lawrence Glassman. Apparently she does come with some baggage, having been arrested in 2005 for possession of marijuana, hashish and hashish oil in 2005 – see mugshot and details here.

Jon and Kate issued a statement not long ago that they were taking time off to help their children recover from the shock of their impending divorce. Apparently Jon has left that task to his soon-to-be ex-wife while he enjoys a vacation that includes walking hand in hand on the French Riviera with his new young companion.

PETA’s Latest Target: Victoria Beckham

PETA aka People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is targeting singer turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham this time around. Her offense? Victoria has been seen sporting high end purses that were purchased from a fashion chain that uses crocodile skin in its products.

Frequently seen with her Hermes bags, PETA is going to urge her to stop supporting the companies that use animal skin to make their products.

Here’s what a rep for PETA said they plan to do: “We will send Victoria Beckham, a compassionate person who won’t wear fur, our undercover footage that shows how alligators and crocodiles are beaten to death and how snakes are nailed to trees and skinned alive for their products.”

Former member of the hits 1990’s girl group TLC, Rozonda Thomas aka Chilli, has ventured out on her own and is now started a designer purse business called Bags By Chilli. The fashionable bags are being touted as the new way to advertise yourself.

Several years back when Chilli gave birth to her son Tron, she received a couple of bags with his photo on them and they became her favorite bags. Wanting to switch up her look and style, she decided the photo purse idea was a business waiting to happen and decided to start Bags By Chilli.

The bags ranges from $140 to $340, a bit spendy but you will not only have a one of a kind bag, but you will always have a conversation starter.

What else can you put on the bag? Options include personal artwork, hobbies, business advertisement, family photos, really anything your heart desires.

Four year old Coco Arquette may have a leg up on most toddlers with her parents being David Arquette and Courteney Cox. It seems fitting that she would get started in the business – right?

Daddy David has started a clothing line called Propr along with singer Ben Harper and apparently Coco wants in. Well at least she has put some of her designs on paper. David spoke with People magazine recently and talked about his daughter’s design ideas.

“She actually did paint a little red dress. She said, ‘Here Daddy. I painted this for Propr.’ She designed her own beautiful red dress. And it has a little heart shaped top. It was very elegant.”

So sweet! Proud daddy said that her design will most likely be in the Spring collection.

Actress Alyssa Milano is once again showing her love for sports by launching her latest sports clothing line for women called the Touch Collection at the NBA store in New York City.

Milano is engaged to David Bugliari, an agent for the Creative Arts Agency. No date has been set for a wedding. It looks like Milano is keeping herself very busy these days with her recurring role on the hit show My Name is Earl. She has a new book that was released last month, Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.

Over the weekend, Fergie gave the shoppers at Nordstrom at the Grove in Los Angeles a real treat. The singer was on hand to introduce her new line of shoes and to sign autographs for hundreds of excited fans.

Her shoe line is a reflection of her individual style. You will find anything from gladiator flats to chunky cage stilettos. As for the price of her shoes – customers will not pay over $129 per pair. Not bad!

Now on to her hair – Fergie is gorgeous. Don’t get us wrong, we love her. But, does it look like her part is growing more and more or do you think that her new dark look just accentuates her part?
