Halle Berry and Olivier Marinez Expecting a Boy

Actress Halle Berry and boyfriend Olivier Martinez have confirmed during a trip to Paris that they are expecting a son.

He proudly revealed the news to PEOPLE, “My son will be an American, but I remain French.”

Martinez shared the gender news at the opening night of Champs-Elysées Film Festival, where he is serving as this year’s honorary president.

He claims walking the red carpet isn’t really a big deal for him, “It’s not the first one, not the last I’ve been on. It’s part of the job.”

For the past two years he has lived in the United States with his actress fiancee and her daughter, “I’m French — it’s less important. Meaning, I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there — but I’m still a foreigner.”

Then he added for the second time, “My son will be an American.”

Berry, due to deliver her second child this fall, will be the special guest of honor Thursday night at another high profile festival event, where photographers will be swarming to capture her baby bump on the red carpet.

The actress shares custody of her 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend, French model Gabriel Aubry.

Halle Berry is pregnant with her second child.

The Oscar-winning actress, 46, and her fiance Olivier Martinez, 47, are expecting a baby boy. According to TMZ, who broke the news, Berry is around 3 months pregnant.

“Halle and Olivier are really excited,” a source tells E!Online. “It’s a blessing. They can’t wait to have a baby together.”

The couple began dating in 2010 while filming Dark Tide. Berry has one child, 5-year-old daughter Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

Halle Berry was dressed to stun last night during a guest appearance on the ‘Tonight Show,’ a situation that wasn’t lost on her host Jay Leno.

She wore a low-cut strapless dress that revealed a great deal of cleavage. Frankly … we aren’t even sure what she talked about. We kid, we kid.

During her chat with Leno, the actress commented on another sexy gown, the Donatella Versace dress that she wore to the Oscars.

Berry said, “I had a conversation with Donatella Versace and told her that I really wanted to go to the Oscars as a Bond Girl, if a Bond Girl would go in 2013. So she came up with her idea of what it was, but she’s out of the country.”

“She put it in a suitcase and shipped it here, and I got it the day before the Oscars. I had some other dress I was going to wear, which was beautiful. But I pulled this out and it fit perfectly, and I just thought, ‘Wow.’”

Halle said she felt like she was “wearing a Ferrari” and then Jay of course took that to a whole different level –wondering if she could drive a stick. It was kinda creepy coming from Jay.

Halle confirms she’ll reprise her role as the weather-manipulating mutant Storm in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’

Gabriel Aubry Reunited with Daughter Nahla: Report

Canadian model Gabriel Aubry has been reunited with his 4-year-old daughter Nahla one day after making peace with his ex-girlfriend Halle Berry.

Lawyers from both sides met on Thursday and “reached an amicable agreement.” A written statement indicated that terms of the settlement would not be shared with the media.

Reports indicate that Halle agreed to pay Aubry’s medical bills and legal fees and would not seek a permanent restraining order against him if he would agree not to seek a restraining order against her fiance Olivier Martinez, the man who beat him to a pulp on Thanksgiving.

It appears the actress feared that if Aubry’s lawyer was successful in court, a judge would legally forbid her boyfriend from coming in contract with Aubry and Nahla … a move that would have forced him to move out of Halle’s residence.

The viciousness of the attack against the male model certainly suggested that French actor Martinez is harboring a great deal of anger because he can’t move Halle and Nahla to live with him in Europe. Judges aren’t fools and it appears Halle was led to understand she was treading on thin ice.

For now a truce is on and Gabriel was allowed to pick his young daughter up from her preschool yesterday afternoon and presumably resume his custodial rights.

The tide may be turning against Halle Berry regarding the fierce beating Gabriel Aubry received on Thanksgiving at the hands of her French actor fiance Olivier Martinez.

The Canadian model’s high profile lawyer Shawn Holley has already secured a temporary restraining order against Martinez and is heading back to court today to ensure that her client is able to resume parental custody visitations with his 4-year-old daughter Nahla.

We find it hard to imagine that Halle’s ex-boyfriend would have come gunning for Martinez just days after winning yet another court victory that will ensure his daughter remains in California.

The French actor, on the other hand, is only in the country on a work visa and had hoped to move his fiancee and her daughter to Europe. That certainly seems like the proper motivation to go after Aubry and then claim it was the other way around–with his high-profile girlfriend backing him up on what happened in her driveway.

Both men are in the country on work visas and Aubry’s is coming up for renewal in December. A crime conviction could spell disaster for him and possible deportation.

It seems likely that Martinez would suffer the same fate if he were to be convicted of assault and battery, though he has yet to be charged. No wonder he was photographed at a Beverly Hills liquor store at 7:30 a.m. on the morning after the brawl.

Legal eagle Shawn Holley has gotten Lindsay Lohan out of numerous scrapes in the past but something tells us this will not be a slam dunk.
