Miley Cyrus Has Free Reign

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who is FIFTEEN, has been rumored to be dating model Justin Gaston who is TWENTY. We must say that he IS very good looking and we can because he’s legal age. It looks like Miley’s parents are giving her free reign to make her own choices in life.

Miley was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and talked pretty freely about her “friend” Justin. The teen says they are in a good place and he’s been a “great friend more than anything”. What does more than anything mean to a fifteen year old? Ryan asked her if in fact they were an item. Her response was, “Maybe. Maybe Not”. Way to keep us guessing Hannah, I mean Miley.

Good thing for Gaston, Billy Ray Cyrus thinks he’s a “good kid”. We think he meant to say “good man”. Miley went on to tell Ryan:

“He’s a really great Christian guy. We have the kind of relationship where we can talk about (things related to being in the public eye) and he gets it.”

And the best part of the interview was when Cyrus talked about her parents feelings on the relationship.

“My family’s like, whatever happens, happens.”

Crap…now we are concerned. Hopefully they clarified exactly what that meant…like ‘we don’t mean we want to be grandparents NOW’ and so on and so forth.

Hey, our friends over at TMZ have some interesting photos of the Christian “good kid” and it looks like Justin might have lost his way….at least momentarily.

Miley Cyrus has been seen out and about in Los Angeles lately. We’ve shared photos of the teenager at the beach, at a theme park and enjoying a caramel latte from Starbucks. Her purpose for being in sunny California is to make a movie.

That didn’t stop her from hopping a jet to arrive in NYC to perform live on Good Morning America this morning. She’s also accepted a similar gig to perform live on the Plaza next Friday on NBC’s Today Show.

The busy 15 year old is clicking on all cylinders. Her major task continues to be doing Disney’s bidding by appearing in as many public venues as possible while keeping her image squeaky clean in the process. That might be why she’s buttoned up to the neck and has on a pair of fairly conservative shorts.

Hannah Montana: The Movie is in production and the teen phenom has been busy learning her lines and filming scenes. The family comedy has Miley Stewart’s life spinning out of control because of her Hannah Montana gig. At her father’s urging, they go back to their roots in Crowley Corners, Tennessee to get some perspective on what matters most.

Miley is currently filming with costars Moises Arias and Vanessa Williams. Other high profile cast members are said to include Rascal Flatts, Dolly Parton, Heather Locklear and a cameo appearance by Taylor Swift.

Miley has received some controversial publicity in 2008. Several rounds of controversial girlfriend sleepover photos hit the internet as well as wet t-shirt shower photos. The mega star also took a great deal of flack when her Vanity Fair photo shoot hit newsstands. Her bareback photos sent people screaming into the night. Collective rage was leveled against famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and Billy Ray Cyrus. Disney wasn’t happy and press statements were immediately issued by the network and the Cyrus family.

Amid the Myspace and Vanity Fair photos uproar that is threatening to topple Disney’s Hannah Montana franchise, Showbiz Tonight has dug up an interview from February 2006, with then 13-year-old Miley Cyrus and dad, Billy Ray, just after they signed on with the Disney show.

It was Miley’s first trip to New York City and she was very excited about the new venture into showbiz. Dad Billy Ray was beaming with pride when he mentioned her record deal with Hollywood Records.

Has teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus had a little dental work done to enhance her smile? Yes! According to a Burbank, CA dentist the Hannah Montana star has enhanced her grin with veneers.

“It looks as though she’s had some porcelain veneers put on her front teeth. And her small incisors appear to have been covered to make them look longer and more balanced with the rest of her mouth,” Michael D. Kosdon, D.D.S., a Burbank, Calif.-area dentist, tells Star magazine.

I personally don’t see much of a difference. Her teeth look whiter, but the camera angles are totally different, making it difficult to do an objective comparison.

So what do you think? Has Miley had a little work done on her teeth?

Federal consumer safety watchdogs are investigating claims that Hannah Montana toys contain high levels of lead. In tests conducted by the Center for Environmental Health, paint on five of 28 products tested, including a Girls Rock backpack sold at Walmart.com and a Secret Star wallet from Toys R Us, were found to contain up to fourteen times the federal standard for lead.

Disney officials deny their products contain unsafe levels of lead, saying their tests show the products fall well below government standards.

Miley Ray Cyrus auditioned for the Hannah Montana in 2005, when she was 12 years old. She became an overnight success after being cast in the show. She is ranked #17 on the Forbes Top twenty earners under 25 with an annual earning of $3.5 million. She was involved in a spin-off movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie that will release at the end of 2008.

Her show debuted on the Disney Channel in March 2006. The series focuses on a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart. At night she is a famous pop singer names Hannah Montana. Only her close friends know about her double identity. Her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus plays her father on the show.

Flashback: It’s 1987 and I have been bribed into running for a local pageant. It gets down to the top 10 finalist and damn I have been chosen. The announcer gets to me, it is my turn to answer the million dollar question, “If you were to win Miss Pepper Fest, what would you hope to get out of the experience?” I stand there thinking what the heck have I gotten myself into and I have nothing. She asks me the question again and I mutter the word “friends” and nothing else. The manly lady says, “Is there anything else you would like to get out of this?” And I say “nope, just friends”.

Miley Cyrus is on a quest to find more friends due to the fact that her parents are so strict. She said, “some people think you have more privileges than other teenagers because of what you do, and that not it at all. It’s actually the opposite.” Miley said both parents are strict but her mom is stricter when it comes to who she is hanging with (we’re guessing it is because of all those pictures that you take with your friends).

Well Miley, why don’t you try entering a pageant. You could definitely find some more friends or just embarrass yourself for life and be known as the girl who just wants friends. As for your friends, your mother needs to make sure to always send you out in your Sunday best and to make sure there are no cameras. Oh and one other thing, you should not share your candy with others under any circumstances – if you get my drift. Good luck on your quest for friends!

Disney is no doubt grinning from ear to ear this morning after the wildly successful limited release of the new 3-D movie Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both World’s Concert. The plan had been to launch the movie for one week only in 683 theaters. The digital 3-D technology gives the audience members the effect of being at a live concert. The crowds reportedly screamed between songs with the same frenzied passion that is usually reserved for Miley in the flesh.

Disney had expected the project to have a one week run. After seeing the huge response from people willing to shell out up to $15 for the opportunity to watch the film with their friends, they’ve changed their minds and will let the film run it’s course. The technology is more expensive than normal 2-D movie viewing, but is still relatively inexpensive when compared to attending one of Cyrus’ concert venues. The technology ensures sharper and more realistic images.

Several rounds of photos have been leaked on the internet showing Cyrus appear to be kissing another girl and photos of the star in her lingerie. This exposure has only further enhanced her appeal, if internet searches are any indication.

The future potential for all things Miley Cyrus is anyone’s guess but Disney is fully behind their 15 year old phenom. As long as she stays squeaky clean, they will continue to pull out all the stops and are betting the farm on Miley Ray Cyrus. Make no mistake, Disney is holding their breath that Cyrus will not cross too far over the line. After all, they recognize that the star is truly a golden ticket.The weekend box office from Friday through Sunday:

You gotta wonder if Miley Cyrus is trying to take after some of the other Disney and Nickelodeon teen stars. Although we really want to believe that she is going rise above the rest and prove that you really can stay grounded, it is hard to think that with all of these photos that have been surfacing.

Although she may just be playing around for her friends…which one of her friends want to see her seductively pulling up her shirt? She may want to consider banning camera’s when she is with her friends – just a thought.

Miley Cyrus fans are in an uproar over a video making the rounds online showing the ‘Hannah Montana‘ star using a body double on her wildly successful Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus ‘Best of Both Worlds’ tour.

During a performance of “We Got the Party” one of the dancers is seen cloaking her with a black sheet and ushering her offstage through a back door, as another girl dressed just like her in the same pink trench coat, pops in through another door and continues to dance around and lip sync the rest of the song.

A rep for Miley has issued a statement saying the onstage switch using the body double is for a costume change.

“To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of ‘We Got the Party’ incorporating a body double for Miley,” according to statement Friday from the public relations firm PMK.

“After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set. Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert.”

The Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana tour is one of the hottest in the country, with tickets selling out within minutes.
