Heidi Klum and Martin Short took the stage Thursday night at the Toys R Us Children’s Gala in New York.

The former Victoria’s Secret model was dressed in a black-sequined Kaufman Franco gown that was slit clear up to her waist on one side.

As one might imagine, that particular fashion choice necessitates leaving the undergarments at home. This is common practice for celebrities and it usually doesn’t get them more than a brief mention in the gossip columns the next day.

In this case, however, the former VS Angel stumbled in her uber-high stilettos and came crashing to the floor, taking down comedian Martin Short in the process.

Good sport that she is … Heidi posted a photo showing her gaping slit and tweeted, “(No Comment)”

She added another pic showing both of them in an upright position. This one was tagged, “There’s nothing sexier than men who can make you laugh!”

Heidi Klum’s Easter Riptide Scare in Hawaii

Easter turned out to be far more exciting for Heidi Klum and her family than she ever imagined during their recent stay in Hawaii.

The supermodel and her bodyguard boyfriend rescued 7-year-old Henry Samuel and two nannies from the strong undertow that threatened to sweep them out into the ocean off Oahu.

A pair of family nannies ventured into the roiling waters to assist the oldest son of the ‘Project Runway’ host and were quickly dragged under by the monstrous waves.

The children are frequently photographed enjoying family time in the Malibu beach surf. On Sunday Martin Kirsten assisted Heidi in pulling all of them to safety.

Klum made this statement after the incident: “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.

Earlier in the day Heidi posted several photo from the beach featuring a sea turtle and dyed Easter eggs festooning the lava landscape with the ocean visible beyond.

The 39-year-old is mother to Leni, 8, Henry, 7, Johan, 6, and Lou, 3. The three youngest children were born during her union with singer Seal Samuel. Her first born is the daughter of former boyfriend Flavio Briatore.

Klum has a new gig as the fourth judge on the new season of ‘America’s Got Talent,’ joining Mel B, Howie Mandel and Howard Stern for the new season. She recently gushed, “I’m really excited to join the panel of AGT to see it all — from the ridiculous to the fantastic!”

Judge Heidi Klum Tweets First ‘AGT’ Photos

Heidi Klum shared some behind-the-scenes and set photos on Twitter to bring attention to her new judging gig on ‘America’s Got Talent’ on NBC.

The supermodel and her fellow judge Mel Brown posed in the cockpit of the private jet before heading to their next audition destination.

Klum tweeted, “Team @nbcagt taking flight with two new crew members! #AGT”

In another posed image, Howie Mandel appears to have donned a blonde wig for a head-to-head shot with the former Victoria’s Secret Angel. On second glance it appears she simply draped some of her long locks under his hat. The picture was captioned, “With @howiemandel – the two blondes on @nbcagt!”

A first photo of the four seated behind their judging bench indicates the newbies will be sandwiched between Howard Stern and Howie. The group was in New Orleans at the Lakefront Arena for the first round of auditions for season 8.

The bottom photo does beg the question … do we love Howie as a blonde or should he stick to his normal bald vibe?

Official: Heidi Klum to Judge ‘America’s Got Talent’

It’s official! Supermodel Heidi Klum has signed on to be the fourth judge on season 8 of ‘America’s Got Talent.’

NBC will confirm tomorrow, when taping begins, that bringing Heidi on board happened during last minutes negotiations.

There remains no question about it being a done deal … TMZ has photographic proof from the set, clearly showing Heidi’s name on the front of a judging station.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel hopped on a plane today bound for New Orleans, where the first round of auditions will take place.

Talk about an 11th hour decision … on Saturday the AGT Twitter page suggested that the show would move forward with three judges:

That has all changed and Heidi will join Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Melanie Brown as they decide whether to hit the X button while evaluating contestants.

Sharon Osbourne quit the show at the end of season 7 after learning that NBC dumped her son Jack Osbourne from the reality series ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ because of his MS diagnosis.

Will Heidi be a ratings asset to the show? If her Oscar gown is any indication … the network is banking on it. Your thoughts?

Joan Rivers Blasted for Trashing Heidi Klum with Holocaust Humor

Joan Rivers is being blasted by the Anti-Defamation League for a Holocaust joke aimed at German-born Heidi Klum.

The comedian was covering the Oscars during a segment of E! Fashion Police on Monday and did some trash talking about the sexy supermodel who was rocking a decidedly revealing Julien Macdonald dress at Elton John’s Academy Awards party.

Rivers said, “The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into the ovens.”

ADL director Abraham H. Foxman, a Holocaust survivor, released a statement indicating the remark was “vulgar and offensive to Jews and Holocaust survivors.” The watchdog group exec. further criticized co-hosts Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos because they were “doubled over in laughter” at Joan’s zinger.

The controversial comic wasn’t feeling the least bit apologetic. She remarked, “My husband lost the majority of his family at Auschwitz, and I can assure you that I have always made it a point to remind people of the Holocaust through humor.”

During a TV interview on HLN, the show host asked her if she planned to apologize. She screwed up her face and said, “Apologize for what? Why don’t you worry about Mel Gibson?”
