Hilary Swank is Amelia Earhart (PHOTOS, TRAILER)

Hilary Swank, with two Academy Award-winning performances under her belt, is already getting buzz as a potential contender, yet again, for her portrayal of flying ace Amelia Earhart in the new film biopic titled Amelia. The movie, directed by Mira Nair, released on October 23, 2009.

The big screen project, which chronicles Earhart’s rise to fame, was made in the summer of 2008 and includes cast members Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor, Mia Wasikowska, and Virgina Madsen. Filming took place in New York, Toronto, Nova Scotia and Ontario.

Swank, 35, has been making the rounds as part of a media blitz and sat down last night with Jay Leno, where she revealed her see-through ladderback dress to the show host – see photo below.

Hilary Swank Takes Over For Lindsay Lohan

New York fashion designer Jill Stuart is taking her line in a new, more sophisticated direction. Lindsay Lohan was hired to be the face of Jill’s line last fall, before Lohan entered into the destruction zone.

A source close to the designer has said that Jill was looking to add a celebrity face to give her fashions that high profile feel. With all the troubles that Lindsay has been through, she no longer fits the mold for Stuart.

Although. as of yet. nothing is written in stone, it is said that Hilary Swank may be taking over. Swank is older and is well respected in the industry. Not to mention beautiful.

Hilary Swank is an admitted vitamin junkie! Swank takes 45 vitamins a day. Is it me or does that sound a little excessive?

Swank is looking for good health. In addition to the pill popping, she also exercises. Hilary has peaked my curiosity with her admission that the most important vitamins are her Oz Garcia Longevity Pak.

Whatever it is – her vitamins, exercise or her boyfriend John Campisi, Swank is doing something right.
