Mama June and Sugar Bear

Honey Boo Boo‘s parents are getting married today in Georgia!  ‘Mama June’ June Shannon and ‘Sugar Bear’ Mike Thompson will tie the knot nine years after meeting online.

The nuptials will be filmed by TLC for a segment dubbed Cinco de Mayo Wedding Fiesta that will air in the future.

Mama June and Sugar Bear met in an internet chatroom and soon moved in together.  Two years later they welcomed daughter Alana Thompson.

Sugar Bear said it was love at first sight but according to June … not so much.  In the video below, she claims she was just looking for a hookup.

Wedding guests have been instructed that no cell phones, cameras or video taping will be allowed during the wedding bash.

Those working at the event were told to show up in full redneck attire in shades of hot pink or camo, and we’re guessing 4-wheeling and pig chasing will be part of the festivities.

The family first gained fame when Alana appeared on ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ followed by her own spinoff.  Season 3 of TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ will premiere on July 17.

Honey Boo Boo and Mama June

Hit reality show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” has its critics but the numbers prove that people are watching.

Mama June Shannon spoke with the Huffington Post about fame and how she and her family are handling it.  One thing she knows for sure, her daughters will not become jaded like the Kardashians.

“My girls are not high-maintenance like them. They prefer to play in the mud rather than shop for new clothes. My girls are not labels. My kids love knowing who they are and know who they are, so, no.”

“We are just everyday people. We don’t consider ourselves celebrities. We still have respect for people just like we did before. We have not let the fame go to our head because we are people people. We love to hang out with our fans. We love to meet them.”

“We do meet people at our house, they pull up and some conversations last two minutes, some conversations last two to three hours.  I’m the same person I was six months before all this started. You just know where you come from and don’t forget the people before all this came.”

All the criticism doesn’t bother June who knows that her family is the butt of many jokes, “I know who I am. People are crazy and what’s so funny to me is the haters that talk about our show, they can quote just about everything.  So those haters know every detail of our show and keep our ratings up just as much as die-hard fans. It’s kind of funny, you hate our show so much, how do you know so much about it?”

Honey Boo Boo and Mama June

Have you watched the TLC reality show ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ lately?  We admit our mouth gets dry after viewing a 30 minute episode because we become slack-jawed from shock.

We’ve got a news flash.  Family matriarch Mama June Thompson recently revealed to TMZ that she has banned ‘Crazy Tony’ Lindsey from appearing in any future episodes of the reality show.

This is classic!  In November ‘Crazy Tony’ was arrested for his involvement in a dangerous highway stunt in Georgia involving someone dressed in a gorilla suit attempting to scare passing motorists.  There was alcohol involved and 5 adults were apprehended and charged with reckless conduct.

That was apparently too much for Mama June.  She claims, “We love him as a friend … but that was a crazy story.”  Feeling the need to explain her rationale, she added, “Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it family-oriented.”

Clearing up family tie innuendos,  June admits they call him cousin on the show but he really isn’t, “Crazy Tony’s just a family friend … who is just crazy.”

Tony is more than a little bummed by the news and suggests, “TV’s changed that family.”

Mosaic artist Jason Mecier spent 50 hours crafting a tribute portrait of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Alana Thompson using 25 pounds of trash.

He has already gained fame for his mosaic masterpiece junk depictions of singer Pink, Donald Trump, Farrah Fawcett, Gady Gaga, Tori Spelling and even RuPaul.

The trashy nod to the Honey Boo Boo character was achieved using hairspray cans, coupons, toilet paper rolls, cheese balls, Red Bull containers and even some chicken nuggets.

Nicole ‘Snooki‘ Polizzi and her ‘Jersey Shore’ sidekick Jenni ‘JWoww‘ Farley are totally smitten with 7-year-old Alana Thompson of ‘Honey Boo Boo’ fame.

Snooki admits, “That show is my guilty pleasure.  They’re honestly like, a really good family.  Just because they’re different, people make fun of them and I think that’s so disgusting.”

Both women claim they have been fans of the child star since she first appeared on ‘Toddlers & Tiaras,’ long before the miniature beauty pageant regular landed the TLC reality family gig ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.’

JWoww acknowledges, “They’re kind of like us in a sense – they don’t care, they’re a big family, they love who they are.  We love who we are.  They’re different, but at the end of the day they’re not doing anything harmful.  They’re just having a great time.”
