Hugh Hefner, 87, is setting up his young bride Crystal Harris, 27, for the day he goes to Playboy heaven and she gets evicted from their current digs.

The businessman and philanthropist has purchased a $5 million Hollywood Hills mansion, in both of their names, with the intention that it will be held in trust for his future widow when he goes to the great beyond.

He has decided to get his duck in a row because the Playboy mansion is owned by Playboy Enterprises. Hef knows that when he kicks the proverbial bucket his pretty young wife will be promptly booted from their love nest.

The new home boasts 5,900 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 5 baths an infinity pool and beautiful scenery. It appears to be modern and perfect for a young beauty like Crystal. We’re guessing she is already thinking about how she might furnish her future residence…

Crystal and Hef are still in honeymoon mode in their “rented” digs some four-plus months after their New Year’s Eve nuptials. We think Harris is a lucky woman indeed to have her man see to her future so that she isn’t forced to duke it out with his kids.

Hugh recently announced that his youngest son, Cooper, would succeed him and eventually help run the Playboy Empire.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, 86, married Crystal Harris, 26, on New Years Eve and he claims he saved the best for last.

The formerly notorious womanizer sat down for a new interview with Esquire magazine, providing insight into his love life then and now.

He wasn’t willing to put a number on his romantic conquests, “How could I possibly know? Over a thousand, I’m sure. There were chunks of my life when I was married, and when I was married I never cheated. But I made up for it when I wasn’t married. You have to keep your hand in.”

After his December 31, 2012 wedding, Hefner is sure of one thing … life is great despite what the haters think! He offered, “All our friends think it’s made in heaven. It’s only people who don’t know us, who simply see us as stereotypes in terms of age and beauty who don’t get it.”

He continued, “I just feel very, very fortunate to have found her at this stage in my life. I saved the best till last. I want the rest of my life to be very much like it is now. I want it to be like this.”

Hef was previously married to Mildred Williams from 1949-1959 and Kimberley Conrad from 1989 to 2010. His children include oldest daughter Christie Hefner, 60, who began working at Playboy after college in 1982 and ran the empire for years before stepping down in 2009. Her siblings are David, 57, Marston, 22, and Cooper, 21.

With four adult children to his credit, we wonder if the newlyweds plan to have a child of their own. We wouldn’t rule it out…

A six decade age difference between newlyweds never fails to raise a great deal of curiosity. Such was the case recently when Hugh Hefner, 86, exchanged wedding vows with his new bride Crystal Harris, 26.

The nuptials took place during a small ceremony at the Playboy Mansion on New Year’s Eve and we can’t help but wonder about her motives… money, fame, love?

She got cold feet a year ago, a situation that earned her “Runaway Bride” status. During her hiatus she trashed Hef in a radio interview with Howard Stern, claiming she had never seen him with his clothes off.

During a recent appearance on HuffPost Live, Crystal refused to talk about their sex life but she did provide some clues about what goes on behind closed doors at the mansion.

Crystal admits, “I feel like since Hef is older now and he’s had the phases of all the girlfriends and all that kind of stuff, I feel now is more, you know, like cuddling up and watching a movie or playing backgammon. We play UNO with the girls.”

She has some regrets, “When I first left, I did some interviews I shouldn’t have done. I was mad. It was a breakup, and I shouldn’t have done some of the things. At the time I had a bad publicist, so things did get switched and turned around.”

Crystal didn’t marry Hef for his money. In fact she claims she isn’t mentioned in his will. “For me marriage means more security knowing that with Hef, I’m the one for him. There have always been girls in and out, so there is always the feeling of maybe being replaced. It was an on-edge feeling all the time. So he made sure that I didn’t feel that way anymore and that’s what the wedding was all about.”

Hmm, very interesting.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, 86, and playmate Crystal Harris, 26, chose New Year’s Eve to tie the knot in a private ceremony at the Playboy mansion in L.A.

They exchanged vows in front of a floral arch situated beneath the grand staircase. The bride and groom tweeted their wedding news and shared a few images:

Crystal wore a pale pink mermaid dress, while Hugh rocked a black tuxedo during an intimate ceremony that was witnessed by two dozen family members and friends.

Hef tweeted, “Crystal & I married on New Year’s Eve in the Mansion with Keith as my Best Man. Love that girl!”

Harris took her husband’s last name. She was so anxious to become Crystal Hefner that she changed her Twitter handle a week before the nuptials.

This was Hugh’s third marriage and Crystal’s first. He famously referred to her as his “runaway bride” in June 2011 after she fled the mansion days before they were set to wed.

Crystal Harris posted a photo on Twitter Sunday that suggests she is toying with fans who are anxiously waiting to catch of glimpse of her wedding attire.

If all goes as planned, she and Hugh Hefner, 86, will tie the knot of New Years Eve.

The on-again couple picked up their marriage license Dec. 4, and according to Hef, they have 90 days to use it or lose it.

The soon-to-be bride tweeted, “Spending the day with my family. I love them and love having everyone here for the New Year #excited.”

She followed that up with a quote, “A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open seas. Honore de Balzac.”

A few minutes later she uploaded an image where she is dressed in white and has a circle wreath in her hair that is embellished with rosebuds and dangling lace, for a decidedly ethereal look.

She captioned the pose, “Let us always meet each other with smiles, for the smile is the beginning of love.”
