Hugh Jackman Cell Phone Rant (VIDEO)

Hugh Jackman broke character during a performance of the Broadway play “A Steady Rain” to chastise an audience member who’s cell phone began ringing in the middle of a scene with Daniel Craig.

Another audience member captured the tirade on video. “You want to get that?” Jackman asks when the phone rings. “Come on, just turn it off,” he demands as the ringing goes on while he paces the stage of the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, waiting for it to stop.

Teen Choice Awards 2009 (PHOTOS, WINNERS LIST)

The 11th Annual Teen Choice Awards were held on Sunday night at the Gibson Amphitheater in L.A. The show was taped and will air on Monday, August 10 at 8/7 pm central on FOX.

Deborrah-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman

Deborra-Lee Furness, 54, has the distinction of being the wife of People magazine’s 2008 Sexiest Man Alive Hugh Jackman, 40.

Furness attended the Methodist Ladies’ College in Melbourne, Australia, and is also a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

The four time FCCA Award winner met Jackman in 1995 on the set of his first television acting job in the Australian TV show “Corelli.” The two married in April 1996.

Jackman personally designed an engagement ring for Furness, and their wedding rings bore the Sanskrit inscription “Om paramar mainamar,” translated as “we dedicate our union to a greater source.”

The couple has two adopted children, Oscar Maximilian (born 15 May 2000) and Ava Eliot (born 10 July 2005). They currently live in Manhattan, NY.

Hugh Jackman was honored in Los Angeles earlier this week by having his hand and footprints cast in cement at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The ceremony was hosted by nighttime talk show host Jay Leno, who fell ill the next day and landed in the hospital.

Jackman is among a long list of Hollywood celebrities who have had their handprints and accompanying signature become part of the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame. The signed plaques have been a fixture since 1920.

The actor’s new movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine will hit theaters May 1. He recently received rave reviews for his hosting gig at the 81st Annual Academy Awards. Check out his opening song and dance number with Anne Hathaway.

We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the fact that Hugh was named People magazine’s ‘Sexist Man Alive‘ in November 2008.

People magazine has announced their Sexiest Man Alive for 2008, and the winner is Aussie Hugh Jackman.

The 40-year-old actor gained recognition when he appeared in the 2000 film “X-Men” as Wolverine. He went on to star in the 2001 movie “Kate and Leopold,” which earned him a Golden Globe nomination.

Jackman then won a Tony Award for his Broadway portrayal of Australian songwriter and performer Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz in 2004.

He hosted the Tony Awards in 2003, 2004 and 2005, to glowing reviews, and earned an Emmy award for Outstanding Individual Performer in a Variety, Musical or Comedy program in 2005 when the Tony Awards were televised.

He is currently hitting the media circuit for his new epic film “Australia” with co-star Nicole Kidman. (View film trailer)

The new sexiest man alive met his wife, Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness, on the set of his first TV acting job in “Correlli,” an Australian television series.

The couple has two adopted children, Oscar Maximillian, 8, and Ava Eliot, 3.

Hugh Jackman on Love Scene With Nicole Kidman

Actor Hugh Jackman has only good things to say about his leading lady Nicole Kidman in their upcoming film Australia. The two are currently filming a love scene for the film and Jackman says it couldn’t have been better or easier.

Well we are sure they will heat up the big screen because they are both unbelievably good looking people. Both of their spouses, Keith Urban and Deborra-Lee Furness, are in show business so they are understanding.

Although he wouldn’t give specific details on the love scenes he did say:

“I won’t tell you all the nitty gritty. But, director Baz Luhrmann treats love scenes like choreography. The camera is like a dancer. If you watch any of his movies, visually, the love scenes are like poetry.”
