Jada Pinkett Smith Defends Her Marriage

For several years the media has tried to put a bad light on the marriage of singer/actress Jada Pinkett Smith and actor Will Smith. Rumors have swirled saying that their union is a scam and that they are only in it to cover up their real sexual orientation.

Will and Jada just celebrated their 12th year of marriage and the actress says that they are happy and it is alright if we don’t believe that. Last October an unnamed madame came forth with a story claiming that Will used the services of her agency and hired two men.

“I don’t have an open marriage and no, we’re not gay – and you don’t trust that? Well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I am happy.”

The couple have two children together, Jaden and Willow. Personally, we have seen photos and interviews with their family and it looks to us like they are deeply in love and respect one another. So BRAVO!

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey isn’t the only celebrity using her star power to help further the development of kids. The latest stars to step forward in the quest to educate children are actor Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Smith’s opened the New Village Leadership Academy in Calabasas, California last fall. The school teaches pre-k through sixth grade. Pinkett developed a home school program for her kids and wanted to share it with other children.

This school has seen its share of controversy, including rumors that the teachings utilize methods developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, though the director of the school denies any Scientology ties.

15th Annual Dream Halloween Event (PHOTOS)

The AIDS Foundation held it’s 15th Annual Dream Halloween event in Los Angeles on Saturday. The stars were out and dressed in some great costumes for the fundraiser.

Those on hand and looking ghoulishly festive were Jason Priestly, Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, Jamie Lee Curtis, Melina Kanakaredes of CSI NY, Shelbie Bruce who had a role in Spanglish, Madison Davenport who had a role in Over the Hedge, Sammy Hanratty from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Doris Roberts from Everybody Loves Raymond fame, Kim Fields from vintage series Facts of Life and Broadway actor Christopher Morgan.

Will Smith and his gorgeous wife Jada Pinkett Smith were on hand for the Los Angeles movie premiere of The Women at Mann Theater in Westwood last night.

Dare we say the Hollywood power couple have never looked better. These two are extremely photogenic celebrities no matter where they are captured but these particular pics really are stunning.

The Women showcases a star studded cast that includes Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Eva Mendes, Candice Bergen and Jada Pinkett Smith. The plot line is that a wealthy New Yorker leaves her cheating husband and bonds with other society women at a resort.

Will Smith Family at Willow Smith’s Kit Kittredge Movie Premiere (Photos)

Actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith along with their children, attended the Kit Kittredge movie premiere and after party at the Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday. Daughter Willow Smith had a role in the American Girl film.

Jada is an actress and the vocalist for the metal band Wicked Wisdom. She is also active in the couple’s Will and Jada Foundation which funds projects for inner city children. Will’s film Hancock, with a comedy superhero theme, is in post production and is set for a July 2, 2008 release. His current project, Seven Pounds, started filming in March and will release in January 2009.

We’ve got some great photos of the family, who appear to have enjoyed posing for photographers at the event. Sons Trey and Jaden were also on hand to honor their sister, who previously appeared in I Am Legend with her father, playing the role of Marley. Jaden had a role in Pursuit of Happyness playing the son of his father’s character in 2007. Oldest son Trey appeared in his father’s 1998 music video for single Just The Two Of Us.

How cute is 7 year old Willow Smith, the daughter of Will and Jada Smith. The sweet young actress is going to be in her first big picture I am Legend with her father. The movie is to hit the big screen on December 14th.

Will Smith has been talking about his little diva lately and said that she wants to be just like Paris Hilton. Her daddy also went on to say “you don’t work with Willow – you work for Willow.” He was joking of course, but how cute is that. If I was 7, I bet I would want to be just like Hilton too and get to carry a puppy with me everywhere I went.

We’re betting Willow’s famous parents will keep her grounded and make sure she stays on the right path.

The interior of the museum was decked out with huge chandeliers, white couches and arm chairs positioned around tables laden with red roses. The room was lit with wall lights, which slowly changed color throughout the evening.
