The 45-year-old funnyman said, “The last two days have been a roller coaster.  Last night, Matt Damon hijacked the show, and today I’m getting a star on Hollywood Boulevard.”

He expressed “some concerns” while addressing the crowd.  The first was that Matt would also hijack Friday’s event and that “people will pee on my star.”

Jimmy reminisced about his childhood, “My parents brought me here to Hollywood to visit the Walk of Fame when I was 10 years old, and I never imaged they would leave me here to fend for myself.”

On the eve of Kimmel’s 10th anniversary of the premiere of his late-night show on ABC, Carson Daly joked, “Jimmy’s show tapes right here, and it seems like there’s a big turnout for his star ceremony, but it’s really just the family members that work for him taking a smoke break.”
