Actress Nicole Richie and musician Joel Madden are the proud parents of a new baby boy.  Their newest bundle of joy weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was born on 9/9/09.  The couple named their son Sparrow James Midnight Madden.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hit the red carpet at the Sony Cierge and The Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation event, held at MyHouse in Los Angeles.  The UNICEF cocktail party was a private charity function.
The couple are expecting their second child.  These latest photos showcase Nicole’s obvious baby bump.  Daughter Harlow turned one-year-old in January.
