Kirstie Alley dropped a bombshell last night during a pre-taped interview with Entertainment Tonight reporter Chris Jacobs.  The actress revealed that she had an affair of the heart with the late Patrick Swayze.

Alley, 61, claims she and Swayze engaged in an “intense emotional affair” while filming the 1985 Civil War mini-series ‘North and South.’

The actor was married at the time to Lisa Niemi, who remained his wife until his death Sept. 14, 2009.  Their union spanned 34 years.

Alley was then married to second husband, actor Parker Stevenson, whom she divorced in 1997.

Kirstie admits that it was not a physical affair, “But again, I think what we did was worse.  Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you’re married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It’s doubly bad.”

The ‘DWTS: All-Star’ celeb isn’t sure if Niemi was aware of their strong connection, but she did ask Kirstie to deliver a eulogy at Swayze’s 2009 funeral.

Kirstie told Barbara Walters recently that while filming ‘Look Who’s Talking’ in 1989 with John Travola, she had to fight the urge to run off and marry him.  She claims, “He was the greatest love of my life.”

Why is she suddenly unloading all of these secrets of the heart?  Her new tell-all ‘The Art of Men’ launches today.

During a photocall for the premiere of ‘Savages’ at the Mandarin Oriental in London, film director Oliver Stone feigned a look of disbelief as he posed with actress Salma Hayek during the red carpet event.

Hayek was wearing a revealing dress that appeared to give Stone pause as they vamped for photographers who were only too eager to capture the shot.

Also on hand was a decidedly dapper looking John Travolta, who struck a hands-on-hips modeling pose while sporting a hat and dark glasses.  Subsequent pics revealed his signature helmet hairdo that reminds us of ‘Star Trek’ icon Mr. Spock.

The ‘Savages’ cast has been traveling the globe promoting the film throughout Europe and beyond, following a marginally successful July release in the U.S.

John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have been enjoying all that Paris has to offer over the past few days.

The power couple were photographed shopping on Avenue Montaigne on Tuesday and reappeared today with their young son Benjamin Travolta.

Sightings of Travolta have been rare over the past few months amid allegations brought forward by his former pilot Doug Gotterba, who detailed a six-year affair that took place in the 1980′s.

Preston last appeared with her husband in an official capacity during the L.A. premiere of his latest movie ‘Savages’ on June 25.  She made a point of lavishing him with affection during their brief stint on the red carpet – pics here.

In an explosive video interview with the National Enquirer, John Travolta‘s former pilot and alleged lover Doug Gotterba claims the actor “used his celebrity and manipulation to get his way.”

Gotterba says his six-year relationship with Travolta began in 1981, when he was being interviewed for a pilot job. He says the two flew to a resort in Monterey, CA, and shared “a wonderful dinner with a fantastic bottle of Merlot.” Afterwards, Gotterba says Travolta initiated a sensual massage in a hotel room.

The 62-year-old pilot gives details about his romance with Travolta and says the last time he saw him was shortly after he married Kelly Preston. He says Travolta and his wife had just gotten back from the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Center, and John asked him to go for a walk on the beach.

“We were making small talk when suddenly, I blurted out, ‘So, John, tell me. Now that you’re married, do you still prefer men –- or women?’ He looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Well, Doug, I still prefer men.’ I said, ‘Okay.’ And that’s the last time we saw each other.”

In the video interview, Gotterba talks about Travolta’s insatiable sexual appetite, and says he enjoyed multiple male partners at the same time, and wanted to make a sex tape.

“He wanted to film it, and I said no,” claims Gotterba.

There has been much speculation about Travolta’s sexual orientation over the years, and it recently gained attention when he was accused of sexual harassment by several men.

When asked if he believed Kelly knew about his relationship with John, Doug replied, “How can you not be aware of it?”

According to  insiders, Travolta’s being gay is the worst kept secret in Hollywood. Even actress Carrie Fisher weighed in on the subject in 2010, saying “My feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care.” She went on to say, “I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it.”

‘Parks and Recreation’ actress Rashida Jones was promoting her new movie ‘Celeste and Jesse Forever’ when the conversation turned to celebs coming out of the closet.

Jones and her writing partner and former boyfriend Will McCormack were chatting it up with SpinningPlatters.com when the interviewer asked, “How’s the Frank Ocean obsession coming along?”

She was reportedly thrilled when he acknowledged in a July letter to his fans that he is a homosexual.  Jones gushed, “I just love him, he is so great.”

McCormack chimed in: “There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out.”

Rashida added, “And a movie star! It’s time…Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this.”

Clearly pleased when Anderson Cooper and Neil Patrick Harris stepped out, she added: “Big stars need to come out. Ricky Martin was huge. That was big; I was really happy about that.”

The outspoken daughter of music icon Quincy Jones does understand why some remain in the shadows, “People are so precious about their careers.”
