Tom Tate, the mayor of Gold Coast, Australia, has issued an ultimatum to Justin Bieber and it’s pretty humorous.
His video says, “I’ve got a message for pop princess Justin Beaver. We love your music but we hate your graffiti and your vandalism here in our city. Mate, you’ve got two choices — come back and clean up your mess or come back and sing at the Mayor’s Christmas Carol event on the 7th of December.”
Thursday the singer and his entourage were told to clean up the mess that was left on an Australian hotel wall. The furious mayor even sent a graffiti removal kit to the QT Hotel at Surfers Paradise to facilitate the clean up.
Tate told Nine Network, “If a normal person did that they’d be serving 80 to 100 hours of community service.”
Referring to the Canadian pop star, he acknowledged, “We’ve all been young once. But by the sounds of it, he’s gone and done something really, really silly. But he’s got an opportunity to make good… I urge him to treat this city the way Gold Coast fans treat him. Just come and clean it up and we’ll be happy with you.”
Bieber’s artwork included a PAC-Man and cartoon characters. Check out Tate’s video below:
