Katy Perry hooked up with The Rolling Stones during their Vegas gig on Saturday night, jamming with them on ‘Beast of Burden.’

She was rocking a miniskirt and tall leather boots when she joined the group on stage at the MGM Grand as part of their ’50 and Counting’ tour.

Earlier in the day Mick Jagger tweeted, “Hey guys, really looking forward to a duet with Katy tonight, Mick @katyperry #Stones50″

After the performance she hit Twitter, “Yes, I just gyrated on Mick Jagger. WHAT?! #Stones50″

Yesterday Perry shared a couple of Twitpics and this shout-out, “Mick & Kate forever!  Thanks for letting me be a 5th wheel last night! @TheRollingStones”

Katy Perry and John Mayer at the Grammy Awards

Katy Perry and John Mayer have ended their romance after less than a year.

Perry and Mayer began dating on and off last summer, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until December, when they made their first red carpet appearance together.

Mayer opened up about the blossoming relationship during a television interview last month, when he admitted their bond was “something very human,” adding, “I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I don’t feel it for the first time of my life…I really don’t. I’m not even in a high-profile (relationship)…I know it’s high-profile, but it’s hard to explain. It doesn’t feel that way to me and it’s great and I’m glad.”

However, it appears his high hopes for lasting love with Perry have fallen flat. Us Magazine reports the couple has split, although the break-up may not be permanent.

A source says, “It’s sad. It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out. She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”

Mayer was Perry’s first serious boyfriend since officially divorcing British comedian Russell Brand last year.

John Mayer and Katy Perry the real deal

John Mayer presented his girlfriend Katy Perry with a one-of-a-kind ruby ring while they dined at Italian eatery Vincenti on Valentine’s Day.

The couple were all smiles as they emerged from the Los Angeles restaurant and got into a waiting vehicle.

According to a rep for Santa Barbara jewelry designer Daniel Gibbings, “Mayer was really super nice” while shopping for a special gift for his girlfriend.

The rep didn’t think the heart-shaped ring was an engagement ring, though he acknowledged “it can be” because Gibbings designs are definitely more trendy or boho.

Mayer, 35, and Perry, 28, have been involved in an on-again, off-again relationship that appears to be on the uptick with recent high-profile appearances at a White House inauguration party and last Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

Do we think it is an engagement sparkler?  Probably not but it certainly does seem to suggest that they are currently in a happy place.

Katy Perry and others shun dress code

Despite the CBS e-mail sent to 2013 Grammy Awards attendees outlining a new dress code, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez were among a large number of celebrities who simply blew off the advice.

Perry rocked a curve-hugging floor length mint green Gucci gown that featured a cutout that allowed her significant cleavage to become an ‘in your face’ statement to the network.  She claims, “I was inspired by Priscilla Presley in the ’70s … married to Elvis Presley, of course.  The bigger the hair the closer to God.”  We gotta ask … did she really mean hair?

The ‘Part of Me’ celeb appeared close to a wardrobe malfunction while standing in the audience with her boyfriend John Mayer.

JLo hit the stage wearing a black Anthony Vaccarello that prominently showed off two appendages.  She joked to Pitbull, “So, as you can see I read the memo.”  He responded, “No, mama.  You inspired the memo.”  She exclaimed, “Yikes!”

Presenter Kelly Rowland flaunting her see-through red carpet look as did singer D’Manti and Canadian actress Keltie Colleen.

Suffice it to say, entertainers march to the beat of their own drummer.  Nice try CBS but your e-mail fell on deaf ears.

Katy Perry was spreading Christmas cheer last night when she shared an interesting photo with her 30 million Twitter followers.

The sexy Santa poser was none other than her musician boyfriend John Mayer, who donned a red suit and hat during a family gathering of Katy’s relatives.

Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, had been on-again off-again for the past six months.

Katy split with husband Russell Brand a few days before Christmas 2011.  Their divorce was finalized in July 2012, ending the 14-month union that began with a traditional Hindu ceremony near a tiger sanctuary in India.
