Kellie Pickler Buys Nashville Home (PHOTOS)

American Idol Season 5 contestant and successful country music singer Kellie Pickler has purchased a $1,435,000 home in Nashville.

According to property records, Pickler, 24, closed on the 4865 square foot, 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home in mid-January.

The contempo-trad home sits on a .46 acre lot in the upscale Green Hills neighborhood. The master-on-main residence has a great room comprised of a formal dining area with a wood-lined barrel vaulted ceiling, a living room with double height ceiling and a stone fireplace that rises two floors between built-in book shelves, and a kitchen with Viking appliances, granite counter tops and cherry cabinets.

At the back of the great room, sliding doors open to a screened porch with fireplace, which opens to a small terrace with a built-in barbeque center just steps away from the swimming pool.

The second floor, accessed by the staircase or elevator, contains three bedrooms — each with their own bathroom, a study/ office area overlooking the great room, and a media room with a wet bar.

It is back to blonde for country singer Kellie Pickler after she experimented for a short while with red locks. The singer didn’t stop at color — she also went with a shorter cut. She ‘tweeted’ that she “feels like a pixie”.

Kellie told People magazine that she decided to change her look out of necessity. Her damaged hair started breaking off during a recent USO trip to the Middle East.

The former American Idol finalist is currently in a relationship with Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs. What does he think of the new look? Kellie says “Kyle could care less. He’d love me if I was bald…God blessed me with a good man.”

American Idol Results: Scott MacIntyre Eliminated

The American Idol results show on FOX was aired live from Hollywood on Wednesday night, April 8. On hand to entertain was 50’s crooner Frankie Avalon who sang Venus, in a nod to Simon Cowell - who was born in 1959.

Kellie Picker entertained the crowd with Best Days of Your Life, a song that the season five Idol alum co-wrote with Taylor Swift. Flo Rida also took the stage in a crowd pleasing performance of Right Round.

Landing in the bottom three this week were Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai and Scott MacIntrye. Lil was sent back to safety first and Ryan Seacrest told the remaining two contestants that a mere 30,000 votes separated them. Then he broke it to MacIntyre that he would be the one singing in an attempt to persuade the judges to use their one time save option.

MacIntyre’s second rendition of The Search Is Over, this time without electric guitar, was hurried and lackluster. Cowell fretted that the judges were split on whether to use their save. In the end, Simon made the decision that it was the end of the line for the blind musician who had touched the hearts of so many during his Idol journey.

The strongest contender continues to be Adam Lambert. Check out his rendition of Mad World here.

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift is one smart 19 year old. Wanting to help out with the state of the world’s money woes, Taylor wants to make sure anyone who wants to see her perform will be able to, so she slashed her ticket prices.

This will be the first tour that she will headline, and American Idol contestant Kelly Pickler will be her opening act. Over the next six months they will be in 52 cities across the US and Canada.

Ticket slashing isn’t Taylor’s only money saving plan, the singer will be unveiling a budget line of dresses next month at WalMart.

Prices for the “Fearless” concert will start out at $20 per ticket. The show will kick off on April 23rd in Evansville, Illinois.

The 37th Annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2009 will usher America into the New Year. The special hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will air starting at 10:00 p.m. eastern on Wednesday, December 31 on ABC.

The extravaganza will include performances from both New York and Hollywood. Fergie will perform and host the West Coast party portions of the special. Kellie Pickler will be the Times Square correspondent who will report on the happenings in and around New York City. The three-and-a-half hour special will have Dick Clark counting down to midnight.

Performers will include will.i.am, Ne-Yo, Jesse McCartney, Solange, Natasha Bedingfield, Lionel Richie, Jonas Brothers, Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, Kellie Pickler and Fall Out Boy and Taylor Swift.

Kellie Pickler USO Holiday Tour 2008 Photos

Kellie Pickler, 22 year old country western singer who first hit the scene on the reality show American Idol, has just returned from her second holiday USO Tour and is deeply gratified by the warm welcome she received.

The singer entertained 20,000 military personnel in nine shows over a 5 day period. This years journey made stops in Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo and England. Other participants included singers Kid Rock and Zac Brown and stand-up comics Lewis Black and Kathleen Madigan.

Pickler was still suffering jet lag but also was filled with admiration for those she came in contact with over the course of the trip. She said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you to the men and women serving our country. I will never take what you do for granted.”

Well said and well done Kellie!

American Idol season five finalist, Kellie Pickler would like to trade in her microphone for a few months and put on her dancing shoes. The talented country singer confided in her friend Julianne Hough that she would love to be on ABC’s hit show Dancing With the Stars.

Kellie talked to OK! magazine and admitted that she would love to give her vocal cords a rest and dance.

“I used to do gymnastics for a while. I told Julianne I thought it would be fun.”

Don’t expect Kellie to stop singing any time soon, she said she will be singing for the rest of her life. Nothing has been confirmed with Dancing With the Stars, but we are hoping to see the bubbly singer on stage.

Charlize Theron is trying to upstage Kellie Pickler when it comes to all things geographical. The actress recently spent time in Turkey and got very confused when sharing her travel stories after the fact.

Theron sat for an interview with Daily Mail to promote the UK release of her latest film In The Valley of Elah. She made the mistake of sharing the details of a trip she took with her boyfriend Stuart Townsend. She gushed about their road trip to Budapest, Turkey.

She went on and on about how wonderful it had been and the delight they experienced when they arrived to find a huge film festival underway. The event was actually the Istanbul Film Festival and she had confused the Hungarian city with her actual travel destination.

The actress is blonde but we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. Not sure we can say the same about Kellie Pickler. She was in WAY over her head when she recently appeared on the TV game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? It turns out she wasn’t and we have the video to prove it.

Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift took in a Nashville Predator’s hockey game this week. The three country singers were photographed cheering on the home team in a game against the Columbus Bluejackets.

Underwood won the American Idol title in 2005. She has won all of the top awards in her genre, including CMA Female Vocalist for the past two years. Kellie Pickler, also a former American Idol finalist, and Taylor Swift were both nominated for the CMA Horizon Award in 2007 – with Swift winning the best new artist honors.

The game was at Summet Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The three talented and award winning singers looked like they were enjoying the sporting event.
