Kiefer Sutherland Parties Responsibly Since Last DUI

We aren’t ready to give the “24” star a pat on the back for his evolving partying lifestyle just yet but find it interesting that he may be starting to wise up. Kiefer Sutherland has, on multiple occasions, landed in the back seat of a cop car for driving under the influence….but not this time.

Sutherland, who has done jail time for his past indiscretions, was in San Pedro, California last week while filming a project. After wrapping the shoot he and the crew set off to party. The group headed to “The Spot” at 7:00 a.m. and drank it up until 1:00 p.m.

An employee told TMZ that Kiefer was drinking scotch and cokes and stiff ones at that. He was gracious and bought the 30 other patrons drinks as well.

The bill totaled $500 for the all booze, no food stint. To show his appreciation to the staff, the star left a whopping $200 tip before heading out—wait for it…. with his designated driver.

Kiefer Sutherland Turns Himself Over To Authorities (Photos)

Actor Kiefer Sutherland turned himself over to authorities at 4 p.m. yesterday at the New York First Precinct, where he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault. The arrest stemmed from an incident last weekend where he headbutted designer Jack McCollough while attending a Met Ball after party.

Kiefer was fingerprinted and photographed and then was able to leave the station around 6 p.m., after spending two hours in police custody.

Normally, a third degree assault charge is not a big deal in the eyes of the court. However, Sutherland has other legal issues. He is currently on probation for multiple DUI offenses, served 48 days in jail last year, and could end up serving a year behind bars and be levied a $1,000 fine if the court is not sympathetic.

As far as the headbutt goes, word is the designer bumped into, and knocked over, actress Brooke Shields. Sutherland claims that he was just defending the actress. Brooke’s rep said nothing happened to her. In fact, Brooke blames the fall on a combination of factors, including her six-inch heels, the late hour and the fact that it was crowded and dark at the party.

Sutherland is due back in court on June 22.

Actor Kiefer Sutherland evidently lost control at an after party that followed his appearance at the Met Ball. Reports are surfacing that Sutherland headbutted designer Jack McCollough, causing injury to the unsuspecting victim’s nose.

Sutherland was chatting it up with Brooke Shields when McCollough apparently interrupted the conversation. Witnesses report that Sutherland was drunk and obnoxious and wouldn’t back down or be logical, pulling a stupid wrestling move like a teenager.

Brooke Shield’s rep said that nothing happened to her. She was shoved but was not in any way injured. She and Sutherland were expected to speak with police investigators on Wednesday.

Kiefer Sutherland became the 2,377th recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday in a Los Angeles ceremony. The actor was accompanied by a group of guests, including his famous father Donald Sutherland.

The younger Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer on 24, was spending his time a bit differently in December 2007. He was a temporary resident of the Glendale City jail where he served a 48 day sentence for a second DUI arrest. You can check it out here.

Kiefer Sutherland surrendered to Glendale city jail on Wednesday to begin serving a 48 day sentence for a second drunken driving arrest in three years. Filming of the Fox network TV series 24 is currently suspended due to the writers strike.

The 40 year old actor could have waited until February to begin serving his sentence but opted to surrender immediately after appearing in front of a judge on the matter. His lawyer, Assistant City Attorney Dan Jeffries indicated that Sutherland was very respectful during the court appearance and politely answered the judges questions.

We have seen no indication that Sutherland’s sentence will be shortened for good behavior or crowded jail conditions. We all recall the trio of Hollywood celebrities who had sentences scaled back to as short as 84 minutes. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie apparently have an in with the legal system of California.

Kiefer Sutherland plead no contest to his recent drunken driving case.

The actor will have to serve 48 days behind bars but, lucky for Kiefer Sutherland he will be able to do it when his show “24″ begins it’s winter production break.

Even though stars like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie just to name a few, got off easy and only had to serve part of there time, Sutherland will have to serve all 48 days according to his Plea agreement.

Will Kiefer Sutherland Have Bread and Water

Kiefer Sutherland was formally charged today with two misdemeanor counts of DUI, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Because this is not the first time Sutherland has found himself in hot water, he could spend up to a year in jail. If I were Kiefer I would hook up with Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton’s Lawyers.

Kiefer Sutherland Busted for DUI

Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Tuesday morning in Hollywood. According to reports he failed the sobriety test, blowing more than twice the legal limit of .08.

The “24″ star had attended the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub earlier in the evening. The photo above was taken at the party.

Because Sutherland was previously convicted of a DUI, he faces mandatory jail time if convicted a second time.
