Congratulations to British singer Lily Allen and husband Sam Cooper on the arrival of their daughter, Marnie Rose Cooper.

The 27-year-old singer gave birth to their second child on Tuesday in London.  This morning she announced the news on her Twitter account, “Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on.  THANK YOU everybody XXX.”

Earlier in the month Lily wrote, “Thought I was in labor but I just needed to fart.” And, “My husband is currently making me a Pantera mix CD to take to the birthing suite.  #cute.”

She followed that up a few days later with this tweet, “3rd curry this week.  Nothing. #cozywomb”

Lily and Sam welcomed their first daughter, Ethel Mary, on November 25, 2011.

Her rep revealed during the second pregnancy announcement, “It was a surprise but Lily and Sam are thrilled.  The pair of them have loved every minute of parenthood so far and wanted to expand their brood quickly.  So it’s great timing.”
