We couldn’t pass up posting Mariah Carey‘s new video ‘Beautiful’ with Miguel.  The song is good but the video is hmm… cheesy, odd, cheap?  I don’t really have words for this but I may do a parody of this video myself this weekend.  I just need a Harley, a convertible, a barn, a fan, short nightgown and I’ll be set.

Fox Denies ‘Idol’ Plot to Replace Mariah Carey with Jennifer Lopez

Did Fox try to replace Mariah with JLo

With ‘American Idol’ ratings in free fall, producers and Fox executives reportedly hatched a plan to replace Mariah Carey with former judge Jennifer Lopez.

Carey signed on for an eight-figure salary and, according to detractors, has demonstrated a “passive and disengaged” attitude while critiquing the talent.

The Hollywood Reporter is claiming exclusively that it was the threat of litigation by Mariah that put the skids on the dramatic scheme to give the show a much-needed boost.

That said, Carey’s rep denied the rumors.  A Fox spokesman said, “This is just another ridiculous ‘Idol’ judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale.”

‘Idol’ producer Nigel Lythgoe added, “I have not been included in any conversation regarding replacing Mariah with Jen this season.”

The 2013 episodes have seen the worst ratings since the show kicked off in 2001.  The bleeding appears to be getting worse with each passing week.  To demonstrate just how dire things have gotten, last week a repeat of the CBS series ‘The Big Bang Theory’ beat out the ‘Idol’ results show.

Tonight the Season 12 ‘Idol’ Top 4 will perform ‘One Hit Wonders’ — in case you’re a fan.  Still “in it to win it” are Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Valentine's Day

Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon shared a decidedly romantic Valentine’s Day that they chronicled with play by play images.

The singer tweeted out the night’s events that began with the diva relaxing in a bubble bath, only to be joined by her dog Jill E Beans–who was reportedly hoping for a splash of champagne.

Then it was on to a romantic carriage ride with hubby after they posed with a huge bouquet of festive balloons.  They encountered one snag when they came upon a barricade.  She captioned the image, “Trespassing in Central Park ❤love on the wild side haaaaaa.”

The next pic of Nick and Mariah was captured presumably by their carriage driver.  It was captioned, “A kiss delicately scented with horse dung…. Still romantic though..”

The evening ended predictably with the marital bed strewn with rose petals and a Happy Valentine’s Day sign.  Looks like a good time was had by all!

During a ‘Late Night’ guest spot Tuesday, Mariah Carey teamed up with show host Jimmy Fallon and The Roots to perform an interesting rendition of her popular holiday tune ‘All I Want for Christmas.’

In true Fallon style, they upped the entertainment value by using elementary school instruments and four children as backup singers.

Nick Cannon sat down for an interview with Anderson Cooper on Anderson Live yesterday and talked about his wife Mariah Carey and their twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

Mariah IS a diva…no surprise, right?  The host of America’s Got Talent revealed to Cooper that the babies are running the house and he’s doing all the chasing while their mama is just being… Mariah.

Diaper duty for the 18-month old toddlers falls to Nick too. He joked, “I am not scared of it.  I go in, I put the gloves on.  Real men change diapers!”

Cannon did acknowledge that Carey has changed a few, but “for some reason I get that duty a little bit more.”

He chats about the Mariah-Nicki American Idol feud, “My wife is the classiest and the strongest woman that I’ve ever met so she’s handling it the way she is supposed to handle it.”
