The Official Michael Jackson OPUS Book is a biography which features rare, never-before-seen photos, which come to life with music and video, as well as unseen sketches by artist Nate Giorgio commissioned by the King of Pop just days before his death.

The leather-bound book, which weighs over 26 pounds, contains “augmented reality” or “Opus reality” photographs, which come alive via michaeljacksonopus.com, when holding the book up to a computer screen.

The 400-page book is scheduled for release on December 7, 2009, but you can pre-order a copy for $249 on the Official Michael Jackson Opus website.

What?  Is this some kind of joke?  According to TMZ,  Dr. Conrad Murray, currently the number one suspect in the death of singer Michael Jackson, is going back to work tomorrow to resume practicing medicine.

Murray’s lawyer confirmed the news and stated that Conrad would be at Armstrong Medical Clinic in Houston starting on Monday, November 23, 2009.

One might assume that most people would NOT go back to THAT doctor.  On second thought, why wouldn’t somebody who is looking for a little pain relief go to him?  There may well be a line extending all the way around the block.  We’re just saying…

Director Kenny Ortega has given the world a glimpse into the final phase of the late Michael Jackson’s life with his documentary This Is It. The film was slated for a short run of two weeks in theaters but because of high demand, Sony has since announced that the movie will remain viable at least through Thanksgiving weekend.

Topping the box-office over the weekend (Fri-Sun) at $21.3 million, the project has thus far amassed $101 million in ticket sales.

Find out who Papa Joe Jackson is partnering with in his latest business venture.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the hot 24-year-old Portuguese soccer phenom who plays winger for Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team.  He is the highest paid footballer in history, having recently signed a contract worth $132 million.  He is reportedly teaming up with Joe Jackson on a potentially lucrative business venture.

Michael Jackson’s father Joe told TMZ that he holds a stake in a company called GAME ON PRODUCTS, featuring barbecue grills in the shape of soccer balls.  We’re serious.  The colorful grills mounted on tripod legs will be sold at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Jackson plans to hook up with Cristiano in early December to shoot TV, magazine and internet advertisements for the Goalie Grill.

Suddenly Joe has come out of relative obscurity to cash in on the Jackson name….just when everyone assumed he had vanished into Neverland.

Sony Pictures debuted Michael Jackson’s This Is It in 17 cities around the world Tuesday night.

Movie reviews, for the most part, have been glowing.

What “This Is It” offers is something you can get nowhere else: a look at MJ’s last days and the knowledge that as much as he lost, the man was still a genius to the end. As he announced after one song and, as no one could possibly argue otherwise, “We’re sizzling! We’re sizzling!”

Last Thursday night Jackie Jackson watched Michael Jackson’s much anticipated movie This Is It.  While most family members have said they will not attend the film, Jackie spoke with TMZ and shared his thoughts on the movie.

“My brother’s film ‘This Is It‘ is truly riveting.  Michael is electrifying!  We get a glimpse of a true genius at work.  His passionate message for healing the world, saving the planet and our children’s futures is something he was always striving for in his lifetime.”

The movie is 111 minutes long and will only be seen for only two weeks in theaters.  The footage is a documentary made from 80 hours of footage shot while the King of Pop was rehearsing for his upcoming 50 date tour.

Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson is staying strong and indicates she has no intentions of watching the movie.  Michael’s children plan to view the film.

One might think Dr. Conrad Murray would want to avoid any more bad publicity at this point in his life.  Evidently that is not the case because he missed a child support hearing scheduled for October 7.

The judge handling this matter is taking the doc’s deadbeat status very seriously.  Dr. Conrad has four days to report to Las Vegas or the judge will issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

Murray recently hired a new lawyer, Chris Aaron who told TMZ that they are “desperately” trying to work out a resolution.  Here’s a thought — pay up and move on because the doc has obviously got much bigger issues looming.

This is where Murray went wrong…he missed a $13,311 child support payment to his 10-year-old son’s mother, Nenita Malibiran.  With everything else blowing up in the good doctor’s world, he will likely make good on this just to silence that unwanted noise in the midst of his far more serious legal woes.

For those who might be thinking badly of the good doctor right about now, they have an explanation.  His lawyer said, “It was not intentional, missing his court date – it was simply an oversight.  Dr. Murray has every intention of resolving and taking care of his personal responsibilities.”

That seems a little lame.  Hopefully Mr. Aaron is not the only lawyer representing Conrad in the Michael Jackson trial.  If he is…the doctor or perhaps soon-to-be ex-doctor might just be SOL.

Veteran singer Paul Anka was shocked to hear the posthumously released This Is It song by Michael Jackson yesterday.  The 68-year-old former teen heartthrob immediately contacted TMZ to claim that he co-wrote the song with Jackson in 1983 under the title I Never Heard.

Anka claims Jackson “stole” the original recordings from his studio back in the 80’s, but did return them after Anka threatened legal action.  Unbeknownst to Anka, Jacko apparently made the copy that his family found after his death.  The original title I Never Heard was placed by Anka with an unknown singer Safire, who released it in 1991 – video below.

After learning of Anka’s claims yesterday, it didn’t take the estate of Jackson long to acknowledge their mistake.  In what is being described as the quickest resolution in Hollywood history, they have made Anka a 50% partner in the publishing rights to This Is It and he will be compensated accordingly.  In a total about-face, he now claims that the snafu “was an honest mistake.”

Released last night was the much anticipated new song “This Is It” by the late Michael Jackson.  The song is played at the end of his film titled This Is It while the credits are rolling.

E! Online is calling it a classy and classic piece.  Michael’s brothers were also involved with the song, singing backup vocals.
