Naomi Campbell Assaulted by Muggers in Paris

Model Naomi Campbell was roughed up in the streets of Paris over a month ago and details are beginning to emerge about the frightening attack.

The 42-year-old was targeted by thieves as she tried to grab a cab. During the attack Campbell was violently thrown to the ground and suffered a torn ligament and is reportedly still using crutches and a wheelchair to get around.

Naomi believes that she was being watched and that the robbers waited for her to be alone before she was physically accosted. French authorities are investigating the crime and cautioned the model to downplay the situation as they attempt to get some leads on the muggers.

Naomi’s billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, flew Campbell by private jet to Vail so that she could be treated by top orthopedic surgeon J. Richard Steadman.

Could it have been a failed kidnapping? That has likely crossed Doronin’s mind because he has reportedly beefed up her security.

Page Six contacted Naomi’s camp but they declined comment other than to say that she is “fine.”

Campbell has been resting in Miami as she prepares for next month’s Oxygen network launch of ‘The Face’ hosted by photographer Nigel Barker and featuring supermodel coaches.

Known for her out of control ways, model Naomi Campbell insists she likes to be bossed around — well at least by the men she dates. Currently she is dating Russian real estate magnate Vladimir Doronin.

Campbell sat on Oprah Winfrey’s couch for an interview and chatted it up with the Queen of Talk regarding her choice of men. Winfrey wanted to know if the diva only dates men who are wealthy. She said:

“I like men that are strong. I like men that wear the pants. I like strong men that know what they want, know what they are doing, that tell me what to do.”

Naomi told Oprah that she has dated “a working class man” in the past and that he was poor and was in the arts. Along with dating the poor guy, she has also dated the likes of Usher and Robert De Niro.

The supermodel has never met her real father and has called Quincy Jones and Chris Blackwell her “adopted fathers”, and Nelson Mandela her grandfather.

Naomi Campbell is a fighter

Naomi Campbell is wanted for questioning by NYPD for allegedly slapping and punching her 27-year-old driver at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan.

The 39-year-old supermodel reportedly assaulted her driver by striking him with her fists and her cell phone, forcing him to pull his black Cadillac Escalade over to the curb in Midtown.

Campbell fled the scene on foot and is now wanted by police for questioning regarding the incident. They immediately began searching for the runaway model after the driver, suffering a bruised cheek, called 911 to report the attack.

Jeff Raymond, spokesman for the supermodel said, “Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to the story than meets the eye.”

Campbell was arrested and sentenced to community service in 2006 for throwing a BlackBerry cell phone at her housekeeper during a fight. She was arrested again in 2008 for assaulting two police officers at London’s Heathrow airport. For that infraction, she was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and fined $4,500.

This growing pattern of violence would seem to suggest that the lovely Ms Campbell has anger issues.

It is hard to imagine Victoria Beckham hanging out with Naomi Campbell. Now after saying that, I must say I am sure Naomi has some great qualities as long as you don’t make her mad. But still….

Naomi’s latest issues with the law have landed her 200 hours community service after she assaulted two cops on a British Airways flight in April.

Recently the supermodel thanked Victoria publicly for staying by her side:

“When I was going through my hard time recently she was immediately on the phone, asking me how I was doing and saying, ‘I hope you are well.’ She was very sweet. I speak to Victoria pretty regularly about normal, mundane stuff. We share girl stuff and she is so funny – people just don’t know her or get her.”

This all seems a little odd. My take is that either Naomi wants the world to know that she has a friend or this is the first time anyone has sent her their well wishes.

38-year-old Naomi Campbell is going bald, according to a close pal (and these photos).

Campbell, who is in trouble again due to her obvious anger management issues, was seen leaving Heathrow police station, and was photographed with what appears to be a balding patch.

The friend says the supermodel chose to ignore warnings that this could happen if she didn’t give the hair extensions a rest.

Campbell is facing charges for assaulting two police officers, threatening an air crew and disorderly conduct.
