Penelope Cruz Pregnant: Baby Bump PHOTOS

Academy award winning couple Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are reported to be expecting a baby. The actress was photographed at several premiere events in early August wearing styles intended to camouflage her thickening middle. Even so, the normally slim celeb is four months along in her pregnancy and is beginning to show a definite baby bump.

Penelope’s latest film, Broken Embraces, has been released in European countries this month and will debut in the U.S. on November 20, 2009.

Cruz won an Oscar for her supporting actress role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Bardem for his role in No Country for Old Men.

Penelope Cruz graces the cover of Spanish Vogue magazine’s April 2009 issue. The actress won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Vicky Christina Barcelona, a Woody Allen film.

The 34 year old is Spain’s first female Oscar winner. She has three films in the works for 2009, including Disney 3D live-action kid flick G-Force, Broken Embraces and Nine.

Cruz also graces the cover of Spanish Vanity Fair magazine’s April 2009 issue and she gives a nod to Marilyn Monroe with her April 2009 DS Le Magazine cover. Check them out below.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were just two of the host of celebrities on the red carpet for the LA premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona on Monday evening. The Village Theater in Westwood was the venue and the star studded cast members were all on hand for the screening.

Written and directed by Woody Allen, the film tells the story of two girl friends on a summer holiday in Spain who fall for the same painter, unaware that his ex wife is about to reenter the picture.

Woody and his wife Soon-Ye Previn have an unlikely relationship that appears to have withstood the test of time and began as a scandal in the 90’s.

Cruz and Bardem were romantically linked earlier this year. Woody Harrelson outed their relationship while presenting an award to the actor for his performance in No Country for Old Men. The couple have known each other since 1992.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem first met in 1992 when they both had roles in the Spanish film Jamon Jamon. The two have been pulled together once again in a Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The couple had not responded to rumors of a renewed relationship until Woody Harrelson let the cat out of the bag while presenting The Montecito award to Bardem for his supporting role in No Country for Old Men at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Tuesday. The actor also won a Golden Globe Award for the movie, and is up for an Oscar.

Harrelson remarked:

“I can’t believe the luck Javier has. If you look at his biography – one page is just describing his journey and then the second page is all of the awards he’s won. And not to mention, I found this out last night too – he’s going out with Penelope Cruz!”

The audience cheered at Harrelson’s remarks and the embarrassed Bardem hung his head and covered his face with his hands.

The couple are set to begin production on another Woody Allen film Nine. We’ve included a photo of Cruz from the movie the couple have just finished, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. There is also a tabloid cover showing the couple in the Maldives last Fall.

Penelope Cruz is missing her digital camera that is said to contain a variety of private photos taken with her family and friends during a recent vacation trip in South America.

The actress was seen last week on a Brazilian beach with Javier Bardem, a fellow Spaniard and her co-star in an upcoming Woody Allen film Vicky Christina Barcelona.

Cruz filed a police report and has her lawyer contacting all of the tabloids to ensure they understand that any use of found photos could be a copyright violation and an invasion of the actresses privacy.
