Pete Doherty Arrested at Switzerland Airport for Drugs

Babyshambles lead singer Pete Doherty is known for his overindulgence of drugs and his hard living ways. On Friday the star was arrested upon arriving in Geneva, Switzerland, after airline officials reported that he had been using drugs during the flight.

Pete entered a restroom on the plane and was later found by a member of the British Airways crew slumped over on the toilet seat. After further investigation the crew found a hypodermic needle in the lavatory and alerted police. In their statement to authorities, they indicated that Doherty seemed to be intoxicated when he returned to his assigned seat in the main cabin.

For the last five years it has been public knowledge that the singer has battled addiction to crack cocaine and heroin. After his arrest, police reported that he was given a fine and that he paid it and was released.

It seems to be just another slight bump in the road for Pete because he went on with his schedule and performed that evening at the Neuchatel Open Air Festival.

Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty, both known for long-term, well-publicized drug abuse problems, have fueled the tabloid fires once again with a disturbing video uploaded to Doherty’s Youtube account on Friday.

The 2-part video, called Winemouse, shows Winehouse and Doherty in a bare room believed to be at Doherty’s Wiltshire home, playing with one-day-old baby mice.

Part 1 has since been removed from Pete’s Youtube account, but we found a blurred version of it on another user’s account.

Doherty was recently released from jail after serving 29 days of a 14 week sentence for drug offenses. Winehouse checked herself into a rehab facility after a video showing her smoking crack cocaine surfaced in January.

A few of the comments made prior to commenting being disabled on the video:

“i don’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

“me neither. i guess you rather laugh thank cry. because THIS makes me cry as well. amy is on another planet. and this planet is called the planet of horrifying sadness”

“you two need to stop the drugs, jeez get a grip. a mumbling ramshackle haze of existence is hardly ‘living the good life’. you could be spending money on salubrious things; improving your own lives and that of others; instead of the shambles I see here: an incoherent stream of good intentions felled by your own shortcomings. strive for more, please.”

“you make me sad.. you threw your talent away amy… for crack…. for drinks… for cigs… most people would die for what you have… and you ruined your chance. Sooo many people were rooting for you.. and look at you… so so sad.”

Pete and Amy were photographed kissing outside her home over the weekend, causing speculation that the two may be romantically involved. Amy’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently incarcerated on witness tampering charges. Doherty recently split from longtime girlfriend, model Kate Moss.

This sucks! Pete Doherty is reportedly getting preferential treatment in the slammer because of his star power. They should be treating him like the loser he is during his mandated 14 week incarceration at Wormwood Scrubs prison in London.

Word is that the junkie has his own cell, TV, radio and bunk bed. The rocker is staying in the segregation unit because they are afraid he is vulnerable. They are calling it the “5 star” treatment of prison. What about showing him what prison life is all about and maybe he might not want to return.

Doherty earned his stint in the lockup for breach of time keeping, non-compliance of a judges order and using illicit drugs. Why not 6 months in rehab?

OMG, can you hear the fat lady singing? I am hoping this is one big rumor but, Laura McLaughlin(20) the god-daughter of Manchester United football team owner Sir Alex Ferguson, is reportedly expecting Pete Doherty’s baby.

Laura is obviously one very confused girl and couldn’t possibly have heeded any guidance from her family whatsoever. Pete and Laura evidently met last year and spent a Sex filled weekend together in August. Clearly she must have been heavy into drugs because there is no way, unless you were a complete junkie, that you would hook up with Pete Doherty. I get the dry heaves just thinking about it.

McLaughlin has also admitted that she was a virgin before her love filled weekend ~~puck~~ with Pete and sadly their condom broke. Oh, hey one other thing, shhhhh….her parents don’t know yet so don’t tell them – pass it on.

Despite Pete Doherty’s claims of being drug free, the Babyshambles front man is caught on video shooting up heroin just hours after his performance on the MTV European VMAs.

The video, shot on a friend’s cell phone, shows Doherty crouching on the floor in his home wearing the wristband from the night’s performance.

After viewing the video his spokesman said “He’s been a very foolish boy.”

Can someone please explain to me what Kate Moss sees in this guy?

Okay I’m pissed. There is nothing that disturbs me more than people who abuse helpless children and animals. Junkie Pete Doherty has every right to screw up his own pathetic life if he so chooses, but now a friend of Doherty’s says he has singled out a kitten as his drug buddy. The kitten is from a litter of five born to his cat Dingy in April.

The friend said: “One in particular has borne the brunt of his drug abuse. Pete thinks it’s hilarious to get it wasted.

“He even made a special mini-crack pipe out of a bottle so it can get the maximum hit.

“But the kitten is starting to get really bad withdrawal symptoms.

“It has lost some of its balance and takes huge risks jumping over things that are too high. It thinks it can fly. It’s really distressing to see.”

Kate Moss is Hooked

Kate Moss apparently can’t withstand the charms of Pete Doherty, and much to the dismay of family and friends, has rushed back into his arms once again.

The Daily Mail has learned that the pair have been living it up in a £1,500-a-night suite at the Mayfair hotel for the past five days.

On one night, friends had to be ejected by hotel security when their revelry became too rowdy and the number of guests allowed per room was exceeded.

Doherty, 28, was last night pictured returning to the hotel after walking free from court on a technicality following a police blunder.

He had faced jail for breaching bail conditions. But because officers didn’t bring him to court within 24 hours of his arrest, magistrates were forced to let him go.

There was no sign of Miss Moss coming or going from the hotel yesterday but sources said the pair had been meticulous about leaving and arriving separately.

Miss Moss has been arriving and leaving under the cover of darkness in recent days since returning from a holiday with friends in Spain.

The 33-year-old model’s family and management are desperately concerned that she may be now dragged deeper into Doherty’s murky world of heroin and crack cocaine.

A friend of Miss Moss told the Mail last night: “Linda, Kate’s mum, thought the time away from him would break the spell he has over her. She had been on a strict break. They had not even exchanged a word in weeks.

“She has been completely ignoring him. But what is worrying the family most is that Kate feels that the break from Pete has only made her love stronger. Linda is absolutely devastated.”

The friend went on: “During her holiday in Spain, Pete was calling her on the mobile incessantly. He could not get through and the line kept going dead.

“She eventually called him one evening and since that conversation they have been continually on the phone. Kate has been like a moth to the flame.

“When she got back to Britain, they met up at the hotel. He cried and she cried. She said to him she had been avoiding him because she had promised everyone from her managers to her mother that she would.
