Jessica Simpson, known for her body issues, braved it on Friday by putting on a black swimsuit to help her little sister Ashlee Simpson Wentz celebrate her 25th birthday at MGM Grand hot spot Wet Republic in Las Vegas.

We hesitate to call her undergarment a bikini because it looks more substantial than that with its high waist. The transparent coverup, a bit of a puzzler, was no doubt chosen to afford her further modest….at least that is our best guess.

For a walk down memory lane, we’ve included a bikini pic from back in the day…when Jessica was at the top of her game.

Pete Wentz and his band Fall Out Boy had a weekend gig with Blink-182 at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend.

Things got interesting on stage Sunday night when bass guitarist Mark Hoppus declared “the death of the emo” and gave Wentz a very close shave haircut while the boys in the band performed.

Wentz reportedly sipped a stiff drink to bolster his courage while losing his signature swoosh locks. He took to his Twitter page and shared the new ‘do with his 1.5 million followers.

Fall Out Boy Denied Concert and Threatened with Arrest

The crowd in Washington Square Park had their hopes dashed when Pete Wentz and the Fall Out Boy impromptu concert got nixed by police.

In town to promote their latest CD Folie a Deux, Pete and the boys were going to give an unscheduled performance but were told that without a permit they couldn’t play and officials went as far as to threaten them with arrest.

Wow, New York is a tough gig. From the photos it looks like the guys made the best of their appearance before a large group of fans who turned out for the non-event.

Pete and Ashlee Won’t Be Selling Bronx’ Baby Photos

Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson have decided against making a quick buck off of new son Bronx Mowgli Wentz, who was born on November 20th.

Any time you want to know what is going on in Pete’s world, just check out his blog. His most recent entry talks about their decision to keep Bronx and his sweet little face private. The post was titled, Ring ring…It’s the truth calling.

“Truth is like every celeb couple, we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.”

Wentz also assures everyone that he is cute and looks just like his mommy Ashlee. Speculation was that the couple didn’t get the kind of offers they were hoping for and that was the reason for no photos. We want to believe that they truly were protecting their child.

Ashlee Simpson Wentz, 24, gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday night, November 20th at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She and her 29 year old husband Pete Wentz, Fall Out Boys bassist, have named their son Bronx Mowgli Wentz. The baby weighed in at seven pounds and 11 ounces and is 20-1/2 inches long.

Mowgli was the most prominent and memorable fictional character to appear in Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book series.

A rep for the couple released the following statement: Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wished!”

The Fall Out Boys are set to release their third album, Folie A Deux on December 16.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is less than a month away from giving birth to her first child with husband Pete Wentz. The couple announced their engagement on April 9th and were married on May 17, 2008.

In September the couple confirmed on their website that they are expecting a boy in November 2008, just weeks from now. The copper haired singer was looking rather pale while out with a friend on Friday. They were spotted entering and exiting Kamasaku restaurant in West Hollywood.

No need to keep looking for Waldo – he was spotted in Hollywood yesterday. Crap! That’s not Waldo, it’s just Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and his wife and baby-to-be momma Ashlee Simpson.

Simpson and Wentz were married in May of this year and are expecting their first child in November. Word on the streets is that their bundle of joy will be a little boy. How cute would it be if Ashlee knitted the baby a matching Waldo sweater and hat to look just like his daddy.

At first glance at the above photo, I thought that rocker Pete Wentz and his new bride Ashlee Simpson Wentz were out for a joy ride. Not so – it was actually Pete with his sister Hilary. Of course, after looking more closely at the picture, the nose looks more like Ashlee’s before she had her nose job.

The Fall Out Boy star’s vehicle got pulled over in Hollywood today. His sister was driving but because the car belonged to the singer, he had to show the officer his license too. It was then that Wentz learned that his drivers license had expired. He was instructed to visit the DMV to get his paperwork in order before he gets behind the wheel again.

So tell us what you think. Do Ashlee and her sister-in-law look like they could be twins, or sisters at the very least? And never mind the tattoos all over her neck, it was a first glance thing.

Ashlee Simpson Wentz and Pete Wentz were stopped by paparazzi just as they were heading to California Pizza Kitchen in West Hollywood on Wednesday evening. The newlywed couple look like they were more than willing to participate in the impromptu photo session.

From the broad smile on Ashlee’s face, it looks like her pregnancy is going well for the singer. Her third album, Bittersweet World was released in April. Husband Pete is the bassist, back up singer and primary lyricist for the band Fall Out Boy.

The couple were married on May 17, 2008 and announced to their guests that Ashlee was expecting their first child. The confirmation ended a month of speculation by the media. The new bride and groom were reportedly paid $1.4 million for their wedding photos, including shots of Tony Romo and Ashlee’s sister Jessica Simpson.

Ashlee and Pete stopped in at a local market on their way home from dinner so that the mother-to-be could take care of her craving for ice cream. She checks out the Haagen-Daz cooler and ends up with a Drumstick. We’ve also included other photos of the newlyweds taken over the past few weeks. They REALLY do look happy.

After referring to his unborn baby as “them” on a Phoenix, Arizona radio show yesterday morning, Pete Wentz sent celebrity gossip bloggers into a tailspin as headlines that he and wife Ashlee Simpson were expecting twins flooded the internet.

The rocker quickly contacted the queen of gossip, Perez Hilton, to set the record straight, saying “That was way wrong. I meant to say ‘the baby’ and said ‘them’ cos it was 7am. I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally mispoke ‘cos we dunno if it’s a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely and I totally blew it on this one.”

Leaving a medical building later in the day, Ashlee and Pete remarked that everything was fine with the pregnancy.
