Dog and Beth Chapman

Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman and his wife Beth are returning to reality TV Sunday night with their new CMT series ‘Dog and Beth on the Hunt.’

The world’s most famous bounty hunters are leaving Hawaii behind for their latest adventures–along with his son Leland Chapman.  They plan to travel the U.S. to support their fellow bondsmen and bounty hunters.

With their vast knowledge of getting the bad guy, they will be hunting down some dangerous criminals in a coast to coast sweep.

The network plans to showcase each aspect of their operation from writing bonds to implementation of tactical tracking and hi-tech device training.

Dog told MTV, “Filming this show with CMT has given us a broader ability to reach our fans and serve our professional industry in a way no other bail agent ever could. We are meeting with the families of heroes who at times lay their lives down to protect fellow Americans.”

Beth added, “CMT gives Dog a chance to do what he loves best: catching fugitives and changing lives while showing America that bail agents are needed much more than they realize.”

Last week the network featured ‘The Preview Special.’  Tonight’s action at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT is dubbed ‘Dog’s New Tricks.’  Check out a clip below:

Nicole Eggert Splash

The new reality show ‘Splash’ is proving to be quite dangerous.  Former ‘Baywatch’ star Nicole Eggert is the latest celebrity contestant to sustain an injury while attempting a high dive.

On Thursday night’s show Nicole botched her high dive while attempting to do multiple black-flips.  The dive went south and she ended up crashing into the water back first.

It was clear that Eggert was going to need help and EMT’s rushed to pull her out of the water.  The actress was transported to an area hospital where she was monitored by doctors for internal injuries to her kidneys.

This isn’t the first time that Nicole suffered an injury on the show.  Last month she was hurt while attempting to begin a dive from a headstand position.  She told PEOPLE , It scared the crap out of me.”

Other contestants who have been hurt on the series include Chuy Bravo, Rory Bushfield and Katherine Webb.  Last week Kareem Abdul Jabbar was pulled from the water but quickly recovered on the set.

Kendra Wilkinson quit the show early and tweeted, “Diving just isn’t my thing.”

Earlier this week Louie Anderson was brought back as the fan favorite when Webb bailed because of back problems.

This begs the question: Is this show too dangerous for non athletes with little training?  It would seem so…

MTV Buckwild

MTV has canceled ‘Buckwild’ after the death of cast member Shain Gandee, halting production in the middle of filming season 2.

The controversial reality show debuted on January 3, 2013 and followed the lives of nine young adults who were seemingly up to no good in West Virginia.

An official announcement is expected from the network regarding their decision to pull the plug several days after producer J.P. Williams was told that the show would go on despite the tragic death of Gandee.

He and two passengers died from carbon monoxide poisoning after their vehicle got stuck in the mud in the middle of the night during an off-road excursion.

Sources say that four episodes of season 2 were filmed but will not be aired.  A special was taped 2 months ago and MTV may opt to move forward with that episode.

Two other cast members have landed on the wrong side of the law.  Salwa Amin picked up an arrest for drug possession and Michael Burford got nabbed for a DUI.

This brief message appeared this morning on the MTV Buckwild Twitter page:

Shain Gandee dead at 21

Shain Gandee, one of the cast members of MTV reality series Buckwild, was found dead in a truck in Sissonville, West Virginia Monday morning, along with two other bodies.

According to authorities, a man on a four-wheeler spotted three unresponsive people in a vehicle on Wolf Pen Road Monday morning. When emergency services responded, the three were confirmed dead.

One of the bodies recovered was Gandee’s 48-year-old uncle, David Gandee. The identity of the third body has not been released.

A missing persons report was filed when family members and friends couldn’t find Gandee and his uncle after they were last seen leaving the parking lot of Larry’s Bar around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The two men told others they were planning on going four-wheeling in Shain’s Ford Bronco.

MTV, which recently renewed Buckwild for a second season, issued a statement, saying, “We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”

At press time no cause of death has been given, although authorities say foul play is not suspected.

Danni Starr

WE tv network has ordered a 10th season of the popular reality series ‘Bridezillas’ and because of the shows popularity–they are also adding a spinoff, ‘Marriage Bootcamp: Bridezillas.’

Bitten and Bound‘s former writer Danni Starr, seen above, appeared on several episodes of ‘Bridezillas’ with her then fiance Marlon and they will now be featured on the first season of ‘Marriage Bootcamp: Bridezillas.’

The spinoff will follow five former “bridezillas” as they try to save their floundering marriages while all living under one roof.

They were subjected to a decidedly extreme bootcamp environment while working through their marriage demons before answering the BIG question – ‘Is their marriage worth saving?’

With their marriages in shambles, the married couples spent two full weeks at a camp run by the husband and wife counseling team of Jim and Elizabeth Carroll.  Other on-site counselors included Dana Hamman and David Bishop.

After attempting to get to the root of their marital woes, the husbands have to decided whether staying married to a “bridezilla” is really worth it.

There will be nine hour-long episodes of ‘Marriage Bootcamp’ and we are excited to check it out.  The reality show is produced by Thinkfactory Media, in cooperation with September Films, the production company behind ‘Bridezillas.’

The show is slated to air at the end of May.  Stay tuned … we’ll be updating with exact date and time.
