The 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Sin City featured some of our favorite celebrities looking decidedly glam for the high profile event.

Madonna, 54, rocked ripped fishnet and Ke$ha revealed lots of skin with a slit that ran up to her waist.

Showing off her shapely bare midriff in a two-piece body hugging ensemble was Jenny McCarthy. She tweeted prior to the event, “Worst travel day ever. I almost Reese Witherspooned it at the airport.”

We’re not quite sure what to make of Alyssa Milano‘s get-up that was described by one blogger as “culottes made of mosquito netting.”

Looking quite stunning were Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen and Hayden Panettiere.

We have to admit we were disappointed with the long red gown worn by the usually edgy Nicki Minaj. She appears to have temporarily lost her mojo … perhaps because of the dismal ‘Idol’ season that just wrapped with the worst ratings in the show’s 12 year history?

‘The Bling Ring’ actresses pose at Cannes Film Festival…

A reported $1 million worth of Chopard jewels were stolen from the Novotel Hotel during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The expensive bling was to be loaned to celebrities for their red carpet appearances over the course of the high profile event in the French Riviera that runs from May 15 to May 26, 2013.

According to reports, the cache of jewelry went missing Friday from the room safe of a Swiss jeweler’s employee.

Coincidentally, or not, the theft occurred on the same day that the Hollywood film ‘The Bling Ring’ premiered. The crime drama, based on true events, features a group of fame-obsessed teenagers who rob celebrity homes.

The real-life thieves broke into the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom before they were arrested.

‘The Bling Ring’ is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on June 14, 2013. Co-stars include Emma Watson, Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga and Claire Julien.

Fun Fact: Emma Watson reportedly used Kim Kardashian as the inspiration for her ‘Bling Ring’ party-girl character. We thought you’d wanna know…

The 2013 Cannes Film Festival kicked off in France with an opening ceremony Wednesday that brought Hollywood celebrities flocking to the high profile event.

Director Steven Spielberg accepted an invitation to head this year’s jury that will select the 2013 winners for acting, screenplay, direction and the film of the year.

Other jury members tapped for the 66th annual event: Nicole Kidman, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Auteuil, Lynne Ramsay and Ang Lee.

The opening began with the screening of ‘The Great Gatsby,’ featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.

Last night’s Met Gala in NYC was rocking an interesting vibe. This year the theme was PUNK: Chaos to Couture, benefiting the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art..

The event was hosted by Anna Wintour, Riccardo Tisci and Rooney Mara and featured bold and daring apparel.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore a faux-hawk head piece, Miley Cyrus was done up in spikes and Madonna had on a suit jacket, thigh highs and pink shoes. ‘Fashion Star’ mentor Nicole Richie was rocking white hair.

Others rocking the event were Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Stella McCartney, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington, Kate Beckinsale, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Making their first red carpet debut were Tiger Woods and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn.

The Costume Institute exhibit runs from May 9 through August 14.

Reese Witherspoon at ‘Mud’ Premiere in NYC

It was a busy weekend for Reese Witherspoon, who walked the red carpet at the Museum of Modern Art Sunday night during the NYC premiere of her new movie ‘Mud,’ just two days after being arrested for disorderly conduct in Atlanta.

The Academy award-winning actress managed a smile but looked decidedly stressed while rocking a short black Yves Saint Laurent dress with matching heels during her stint on the red carpet.

She posed briefly with her ‘Mud’ co-star Matthew McConaughey before making a hasty escape. The film is scheduled for a limited release in select theaters beginning April 26, 2013.

Director Jeff Nichols appeared to be blindsided when reporters asked them about the weekend arrest of the film’s co-star. He responded, “I can’t say anything about that because I don’t know. Like literally … the first guy in the press line to say something … the first time I heard about it. I gotta go figure it out.”

A hearing is set today in Atlanta to hear Witherspoon’s case. Her lawyer will attend but it is unclear whether she will be required to appear before the judge.

The actress is currently on location in Atlanta filming ‘The Good Lie,’ slated for release in December 2013.

Witherspoon’s husband Jim Toth was pulled over and arrested for DUI on April 19. His celebrity wife’s belligerent behavior during the traffic stop early Friday morning led to her arrest as well. See the mug shots here.
