Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough split

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have ended their two year relationship and are reportedly living apart.

Sources close to the couple confirmed the news to PEOPLE, citing busy work schedules as the reason behind the split.

Hough recently spoke with PARADE about juggling career and a relationship, “It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re so caught up in your work and bettering yourself.  I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what’s really important.”

Earlier this week we reported that Julianne, 24, was a victim of theft and had over $100k in jewelry stolen from her car while visiting a friend.

Perhaps she had the three jewelry gifts from Seacrest in the car because she intended to return them  to the ‘American Idol’ host.

Like most celebrity couples, the split is being characterized as amicable and they plan to stay in touch.

Over the past few months Julianne has been promoting her movie ‘Safe Haven’ and Ryan, 38, is busy will all of his commitments: ‘Idol,’ his radio show, producing for E! … and the list goes on.

Reps for the couple have not confirmed the split.

‘Safe Haven’ star Julianne Hough was shocked to discover that her Mercedes had been ransacked while she was visiting a friend in Hollywood on Friday night.

The seriously bad news was that $100,000 worth of jewelry that she had received as gifts from her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest was stolen during the car robbery.

According to police, the luxury ride had been sitting unattended in the apartment complex parking lot for a few hours while the former ‘DWTS’ pro was inside a residence.

There were no signs of forced entry and Julianne, 24, found the car door wide open when she returned to the vehicle.   She discovered that three pieces of jewelry were taken in the parking lot heist.

BF Seacrest , 38, has decidedly deep pockets due to his many lucrative business ventures that include a television production company and association with E! network.  He is best known for his long-running twice weekly gig as ‘American Idol’ host.

Fergie Tweets ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ Promo Pics

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas shared a promo photo on Twitter to hype her upcoming gig, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013.

The singer will host the west coast party featuring performances by Brandy, Flo Rida, Karmin, OneRepublic and Pitbull on Monday, December 31 on ABC.

Taking the stage in Times Square in New York will be Carly Rae Jepsen, Neon Trees and headliner Taylor Swift.

The 5-1/2 hour bi-coastal extravaganza kicks off at 8:00 p.m. eastern with a two-hour celebration of the late Dick Clark, hosted by Fergie and Jenny McCarthy. The “World’s Oldest Teenager” died in April 2012.

Picking up the action beginning at 10:00 p.m. eastern will be Ryan Seacrest, who will lead the traditional countdown to midnight on both the east and west coasts.

Ryan Seacrest Tweets ‘American Idol’ Judges Lineup

Ryan Seacrest announced the names of the four ‘American Idol’ judges on Twitter this morning and suffice it to say… there were no surprises.

Randy Jackson will be returning for another season … joining Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban.

Seacrest also shared a group pic:

The news was prematurely leaked by Katie Couric on Friday during her interview with Jennifer Lopez.  The former ‘Idol’ judge pronounced the new group “eclectic” and pretended to be surprised.

Ryan Seacrest has sold the mansion he put on the market before buying Ellen DeGeneres‘ former home.

This comes on the heels of news that Ellen just sold the house she bought from Brad Pitt.

Ryan’s home, which he dubbed “Casa di Pace” (House of Peace), was originally listed for $14,950,000, then dropped to $12.9 million. The house sold for $11 million, which is below the $11.5 million he bought it for in 2006 from Kevin Costner.

Costner purchased the 10,000 square foot Mediterranean-style villa from Richard Dreyfuss.

Whew, that’s a lot of real estate changing hands among celebs.
