Robert Pattinson Halts Ryan Seacrest Radio Interview (VIDEO)

Ryan Seacrest took his radio show on the road for the L.A. premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon Monday night in Westwood. Robert Pattinson came in with his handlers to have a live chat with the popular host but things ended abruptly after Seacrest apparently broached a forbidden subject.

When the radio disc jockey asked, “What do you say to your fans who are desperate to know about you and your co-star Kristen Stewart?” A female handler had a mini meltdown and the session was over. Seacrest lamented, “I was just cut off for the first time ever.”

To his credit, Pattinson remained civil to the bitter end with, “Watch New Moon – it’s amazing.”

Ryan Seacrest Crazy Fan Attacker in Jail

Celebrities run into overzealous fans from time to time, but there are always a few out there that take it too far. American Idol emcee, radio show host and E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest recently had a scare from a fan who is now behind bars.

Chidi Uzomah is now behind bars after attacking one of Ryan’s security guards. Chidi asked Seacrest for his autograph as he exited Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Seacrest obliged. The fan proceeded to follow the celeb to his car, which prompted Ryan’s security team to intervene. The fan got feisty and police were called. When they arrived they discovered he was packing a switch blade.

Chidi was sentenced to 15 days in jail, was assessed a fine and received three years probation and must pay restitution.

Jasmine Waltz & Ryan Seacrest A Couple (VIDEO)

Ryan Seacrest has recently hooked up with Jasmine Waltz, a gorgeous L.A. bartender. The couple reportedly first met at Guy’s, a West Hollywood lounge and have been seeing each other for several months.

We’re not sure how Seacrest found the time to jet off the Europe, what with his radio show, American Idol gig and his reality television show Momma’s Boys, but he did manage to spend the weekend in Paris with the lovely brunette.

The field of 13 is now down to 11 after all of the viewer votes were tallied. Jasmine Murray, a 16 year old Mississippi high school student and Jorge Nunez, the 20 year old college student from Puerto Rico received the least votes and got the boot.

The group sang Michael Jackson tunes this week. The judges didn’t find fault with Jasmine’s rendition of I’ll Be There but thought she lacked personality. Nunez was hammered by the judges for his lackluster performance of Never Can Say Goodbye.

Ryan Seacrest announced a new AI twist this year. Until the top 5 have been chosen, the judges will have an opportunity to override the weekly vote and save one singer from elimination. If they unanimously decide that America got it wrong, that person will stay on – the twist is that two will be eliminated the following week.

The motivation behind that new angle is that Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson were both eliminated and went on to launch successful careers. The judging panel did not opt to save either of the eliminated contestants this week.

Ryan Secrest High Fives A Blind Man (Video)

The eighth season of American Idol kicked off last night and we get the sense that Paula Abdul isn’t going to be the only judge that will bicker back and forth with the always outspoken Simon Cowell. New judge Kara DioGuardi seems to be a bit of a spit fire too.

Show host Ryan Seacrest may be feeling a slight bit embarrassed today. The final performer of the evening was a blind young man named Scott MacIntyre, who got one of the golden tickets signifying that he will advance to Hollywood.

Congratulating Scott, Ryan then held up his hand to give the contestant a high five, forgetting that he was blind. We feel for Ryan. It was a very uncomfortable moment. What was probably a 2 second span felt like an eternity from our vantage point.

The 37th Annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2009 will usher America into the New Year. The special hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will air starting at 10:00 p.m. eastern on Wednesday, December 31 on ABC.

The extravaganza will include performances from both New York and Hollywood. Fergie will perform and host the West Coast party portions of the special. Kellie Pickler will be the Times Square correspondent who will report on the happenings in and around New York City. The three-and-a-half hour special will have Dick Clark counting down to midnight.

Performers will include will.i.am, Ne-Yo, Jesse McCartney, Solange, Natasha Bedingfield, Lionel Richie, Jonas Brothers, Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, Kellie Pickler and Fall Out Boy and Taylor Swift.

Paula Goodspeed Suicide: Former American Idol Contestant (Video, Photos)

Paula Goodspeed, a former American Idol contestant was discovered dead in a car near Paula Abdul’s home in the 3800 block of Beverly Ridge Drive in Sherman Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The young woman, age 30, is believed to have died of a drug overdose.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroners office said, “we are investigation the case as a possible suicide. The cause of death will not be determined until toxicology tests are completed.”

Goodspeed auditioned in a pink dress and sang Proud Mary for the judges in anticipation of being picked to appear on season five. Simon Cowell actually remarked that there was a resemblance between the two Paula’s.

Police had reportedly been called to Abdul’s home on numerous occasions to deal with Goodspeed, who according to her parents had an unnatural obsession with the American Idol judge.

Abdul released the following statement: “I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family.”

Los Angeles Confidential magazine threw a bash last night to preview their all male issue. Their male pick for cover guy duties is a dual role carried out by Ryan Seacrest and Bill Maher.

Seacrest is a radio personality on KIIS-FM in L.A. as well as host of the popular American Idol reality talent show. He is also a television producer who is working on several projects, including the upcoming Paris Hilton reality show. Maher is a comedian and political satirist, known for his decidedly controversial religious views.
