Tiger Woods Temper Tantrum VIDEO

Tiger Woods suffered a temporary meltdown on Friday in Boston at the Deutsche Bank Championship or was it really at the Barclays Tournament a week ago? Some reports are saying the temper tantrum occurred on the 16th tee at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey. Yet, others are swearing it happened while the golf icon was teeing off on the par 4 fifth hole just three days ago.

In any case, the video below shows that he sent his drive well right of the fairway. Without missing a beat, he sent his driver flying while bellowing, “Release the club!” Caddie Steve Williams retrieved the offending club from the knee deep rough.

The clip was put on YouTube on September 5th but is clearly labeled Barclays. Several internet sources, with stories dated earlier than last Friday, claim the Tiger ‘fit’ was last weeks news. In an attempt at full disclosure – we can’t confirm when it occurred…just that it did.

Tiger was tied for 9th place going into fourth round play on Monday, September 7, 2009. In a five way tie at the top of the leaderboard were Jason Dufner, Padraig Harrington, Steve Stricker, Retief Goosen and Sean O’Hair.

The 91st PGA Championship is being played at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota from Thursday August 13 thru Sunday August 16. The 7,674-yard course is the longest in major championship history.

Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington began Thursday strong, playing in the same group with Rich Beem and challenging for the lead. Woods said, “I played really well today. I hit just a bunch of good shots. And this round could have been really low. I missed a bunch of putts out there. So it was just a very positive start.”

Harrington said that he and Tiger chatted throughout the first round. “You can do that on Thursday. Sunday is the business day. Today was a more pleasant round of golf, and it’s good to keep it that way. That gets the best results, as it showed today for all of us.”

John Daly withdrew with a back injury after firing a six-over-par 78 on day one..

As Saturday morning dawns, Woods is leading at -7, with Ross Fisher, Lucas Glover, Padraig Harrington and Vijay Singh are in a four-way tie at -3. Tiger and Vijay will tee off at 1:40 p.m. central on Saturday.

Did Tiger Woods let one rip on-air, or was it on-course reporter David Feherty? That seems to be the million dollar question surrounding a fart caught by a CBS microphone on the 18th fairway during the final round of Sunday’s Buick Open.

Tiger Woods and caddie Steve Williams were standing nearby and began laughing when the incident happened, leading many to speculate it was Woods’ who farted.

CBS and the PGA Tour promptly removed the clips from YouTube, and according to TMZ, denied that Woods was the culprit.

Now the fart is being attributed to David Feherty.

So, whose fart is it anyway?

Jessica Simpson sang the National Anthem yesterday at the start of the Earl Woods Memorial Pro-Am in Bethesda, MD after which her boyfriend Tony Romo played a round of golf with Tiger Woods. The one-day tournament was held at Congressional Country Club.

The Pro-Am was the kick off leading up to the 2009 AT&T National $6 million PGA Tour event that will be held during the 4th of July weekend in the nation’s capital. Once again this year, tournament host Tiger Woods will pay tribute to the U.S. Military.
