Thanks to social media, we are now able to see what our favorite celebrities are doing in their daily lives without relying on the paparazzi to catch them in action.  The candid photos are often a much better representation of the actors and actresses who choose to share their own reality with the rest of us.

Thanks to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook we get more than just a sneak peek without intruding.  It’s the best platform for entertainers to tell their own story.

We’ve discovered some great images from the past week for your viewing pleasure.  Mario Lopez was playing football in his underwear (thank you), Britney Spears got herself a new puppy, Victoria Beckham put a bag over her head and Brody Jenner displayed some doggie love with a smooching pic.

Ryan Seacrest was working it during a Grammy rehearsal, Miley Cyrus showed off a pre-Grammy makeup session, Brooke Burke revealed her neck scar, Oprah Winfrey got a foot massage, Katy Perry showed off her Red Bull eyes, Kelly Osbourne shared a gorgeous Vanity Fair pose and Heidi Klum showed off her goofy side.

Mariah Carey played in the snow, Paris Jackson drank coffee, Kourtney Kardashian spent a day in paradise and Charlie Sheen was looking a little rough.

Jessica Simpson Tweets Hawaiian Vacation Photos

Jessica Simpson appears to be loving life after officially revealing that she is pregnant with her second baby.  The fashion designer is clearly glowing in several new images from her Hawaii vacation with fiance Eric Johnson and their young daughter.

It has been extremely rare for Jessica to post private photos on Twitter, especially while she was in the midst of losing 50 lbs. for her recent Weight Watchers reveal.

On Christmas Day Simpson shared a photo of 8-month-old Maxwell sitting in the sand announcing that she was going to be a ‘Big Sis.’  That adorable pose was followed by one of Eric and Jess that was captioned “Aloha.”  Her latest pic was labeled “fun in the sun.”

Joining them for their holiday getaway are sister Ashlee Simpson, nephew Bronx and recently separated family matriarch Tina Simpson.

Top Tweets of 2012

Twitter has released it’s 2012 “Golden Tweets” which included the posts that were the most retweeted.

So, what were the top tweets in 2012?

No. 1 was President Barack Obama‘s “Four more years.” Obama marked his reelection on Twitter before taking the stage to affirm his victory. Within hours, his tweet became the most retweeted of 2012, as well as the most retweeted ever, with 810,000+ retweets and 800,000+ favorites by people in more than 200 countries around the world.

No. 2 was Justin Bieber‘s tribute to a fan. 6-year-old Avalanna Routh, who affectionately became known as “Mrs. Bieber” across the world, suffered from a rare form of brain cancer and became close to the pop star during her illness. When she lost her battle to cancer in September, Bieber tweeted, “RIP Avalanna. i love you,” which was retweeted 220,000+ times and favorited 100,000+ times by Twitter Beliebers all over the world.

Twitter’s year in review includes the “Pulse of the planet,” which were the biggest conversations of the year revolving around events that generated a large number of tweets and retweets, including the summer Olympics, the U.S. election, and super storm Sandy.

Chris Brown Quits Twitter After Vulgar Feud with Jenny Johnson: Death Threats Ensue

Chris Brown deleted his Twitter account (again) after a nasty exchange with comedian Jenny Johnson Sunday night.

The NSFW Twitter feud started when Brown posted, “I look old as f***! I’m only 23…”

Johnson, who has made no secret of her disdain for Brown since his felony assault on Rihanna in 2009, replied, “I know! Being a worthless piece of s*** can really age a person.”

“Take them teeth out when u Sucking my d*** HOE,” Brown shot back.

“It’s ‘HO’ not ‘HOE’ you ignorant f***,” Johnson responded.

The exchange went decidedly downhill from there, when Brown began making crude and vulgar comments.

“I should fart while ur giving me top,” he wrote.

“Your mom must be so proud of you,” said Johnson.

“see…I don’t even have to tell u what u already know. Thanks HO! #bushpig,” Brown retorted, to which Johnson responded with a link to an article about Brown’s assault on Rihanna.

“Mom says hello…she told m not to shart in ur mouth, wanted me to s*** right on the retina,” remarked Brown.

“YOU FLIRT!” retorted Johnson.

“Okay. I’m done. All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that he wants to s*** and fart on me,” Johnson posted, adding, “I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing.”

The exchange seemed to be over when Brown added, “Let me leave this b**** alone…it’s good to know my worth by listening to a b**** that is worthless! #win #bushpigswag.”  But after apparently stewing about it for a few hours, Brown posted, “Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????”

The exchange between the two ended when Johnson replied with, “Get some help. Seriously.”

Johnson has received multiple death threats from Brown fans since the exchange. “It’s alarming how many death threats I’m receiving via @ replies,” she posted Monday morning. “I encourage everyone, including @Twitter to look through them. Not cool.”

Billboard has posted some of the comments of the worst offenders, which I must say, are pretty scary.
