Adam Levine predicts Shakira will be a killer coach

With a few blind auditions under their belts, the newest coaches on ‘The Voice’ have demonstrated a level of competitive drive that has impressed show veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

According to the Maroon 5 rocker, Shakira “is ready to bust some heads.”  He explained, “You have a pregnant, hormonal Colombian.  She ain’t messing around.”

Blake believes that the newbies, including Usher, have changed the dynamic.  He said, “I would say the competitiveness is up.  We’ve replaced Cee Lo with somebody that’s just that much more aggressive.  And Christina was always competitive, but now you’ve got four that are just killers up here.”

Mother-to-be Shakira acknowledged, “Once we are in the process of trying to get a contestant recruited for our team, there’s a lot of adrenalin, and there’s a lot of tension, but the healthy kind.”

Levine said of Usher, “As much as I hate to say this about another coach in the beginning, Usher has done what this show has yet to do.  He has launched a superstar, Justin Bieber, and that’s our goal.  That’s the shows goal.  That’s something we want to do as an institution.”

Season 4 premieres March 25, 2013 on NBC.

Usher Evicts Ex-Wife Tameka from Georgia Mansion

Usher has inflicted more misery on his ex-wife with an eviction notice.  Last month the entertainer informed Tameka Raymond that she must vacate his Roswell, Georgia residence within 60 days so that he can unload it.

The 12,544 square-foot suburban property has been listed on the market for $3.2 million.  It included 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, 10-foot ceilings, an outdoor pool, in-home gym, 4 fireplaces and a library.

As part of their 2009 divorce agreement, Usher’s ex-wife was allowed to remain in the home until such time as the Grammy award-winning artist opted to liquidate that particular asset.

He made the decision to get rid of the property after winning primary custody of the couple’s two young sons in a contentious court battle.  He certainly doesn’t need the money … dare we suggest he is seeking revenge for her actions in court?

It has been a very bad year for Tameka.  Besides losing joint custody of her boys, she is mourning the loss of her 11-year-old son Kile, who died of head injuries suffered in a Jet Ski accident in late July.

Usher Bids $12K for Puppy at Charity Event: PHOTO

Usher plunked down $12,000 for a goldendoodle puppy on Thursday during a NYC charity event.

He outbid Gossip Girl celeb Jessica Szohr, who offered $11,000 for the cross-breed pooch at the Pencils of Promise gala .

The money will aid the Justin Bieber endorsed organization that builds schools in impoverished nations.

Usher tweeted, “Poppy Raymond is what I’m thinking of namin’ her … however there are two gregarious three- and four-year-olds that will have the last say — and the responsibility that comes with her.”

He recently won primary custody of Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Raymond in a contentious court battle with ex-wife Tameka Raymond.

Usher was instrumental in raising an additional $130,000 for Pencils of Promise, donating a private dance lesson that caused a bidding war by two families who eventually shelled out $65K each.

Usher and Shakira to Coach NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Season 4

The NBC reality show ‘The Voice’ will add some new coaching talent when the show airs season four in the spring, according to executive producer Mark Burnett.

It has been announced that Usher and Shakira will replace Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera in the red spinning chairs.

The R&B singer and the Latina superstar have signed on to join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in what the network hopes will provide a competitive edge against mainstay ‘American Idol.’

This move comes with the expansion of the show from one season per year to two seasons back-to-back.  ‘The Voice’ is leaving open the possibility that they will rotate talent and Aguilera and Green may show up again during season five.

Burnett confirmed, “Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour.  Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life.  This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans.  Meanwhile, we’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold.”

The new ‘American Idol’ judging panel was installed earlier this week and is currently filming auditions in New York City–as seen in their first official photo below.

Usher Awarded Primary Custody of Sons, Tameka Foster hits Twitter

Singer Usher Raymond was awarded primary custody of his two sons today after a lengthy court battle with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.

The contentious court fight turned decidedly ugly with each parent hurling a mountain of accusations at the other.  Tameka accused Usher of using drugs in front of the children and devoting too much of his time to his career.  He called her inattentive, unstable and irresponsible.

In the end the judge ruled in favor of Usher, while allowing Tameka to retain “some custodial rights” related to visitation with the couple’s children Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.

An hour ago she hit twitter with this comment, “Money can buy many things… But in the end truth & goodness will prevail.  I must continue to believe this.  Stand firm.”
