Victoria Beckham Confirmed as American Idol Judge (PHOTOS)

On the heels of the Paula Abdul Twitter message to the world yesterday that she will not be returning to the top-rated FOX reality show American Idol, we discover that Victoria Beckham WILL be a judge….but only as a guest.

The publicist for Posh Spice confirmed that the 35-year-old musician, model and fashionista will join judges Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi sometime during the new season, though her busy schedule will preclude her from making it more than a short-term gig.

It was revealed yesterday that Abdul, 47, couldn’t come to terms with FOX, who reportedly offered her a 30% increase over the $2 million that she made last season, while she was holding out for $12 million. Ryan Seacrest recently signed a $45 million three-year deal, and Cowell was paid $57 million for his last stint.

Emporio Armani has signed on Angelina Jolie as the new face of their upcoming perfume ad campaign. The Insider is saying that Angie is going to be very hands on and already had input into the selection of a photographer and director.

Armani already features one of the hottest men in the world. David Beckham images are plastered on billboards everywhere, so it seems fitting that one of the sexiest women on the planet would be a perfect ad partner? Word has it they are already collaborating on a project.

David’s wife Victoria Beckham struts for Armani too in their lingerie ads. Any joint photo shoots between Beckham and Jolie would be a sure moneymaker for the brand.

PETA’s Latest Target: Victoria Beckham

PETA aka People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is targeting singer turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham this time around. Her offense? Victoria has been seen sporting high end purses that were purchased from a fashion chain that uses crocodile skin in its products.

Frequently seen with her Hermes bags, PETA is going to urge her to stop supporting the companies that use animal skin to make their products.

Here’s what a rep for PETA said they plan to do: “We will send Victoria Beckham, a compassionate person who won’t wear fur, our undercover footage that shows how alligators and crocodiles are beaten to death and how snakes are nailed to trees and skinned alive for their products.”

The latest controversy surrounding David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham are reports that David has been carrying on an affair with Hungarian model Mariann Fogarasy.

It has been alleged that David and Mariann enjoyed a candlelit dinner together after his game in Budapest. They were said to have been photographed together. We have not seen the photos.

Coming up on his 10 year wedding anniversary with Victoria in July, David is denying any extra-marital affairs. “I have no desire for another woman. I only love Victoria. Ninety percent of everything written about us is invented. The last one was this story about the Hungarian model. I have never been out to dinner with this young lady.”

It isn’t often that the pro soccer player takes time to deny rumors and he said he wouldn’t have time to have a career if he did so all the time.

David and Victoria Beckham have three of the best looking boys around. Their two youngest sons, Romeo and Cruz were seen at Coldwater Canyon Park having a blast the other day.

They were photographed swinging, skateboarding, sliding and just plain being kids. Other Hollywood children that are often seen playing at Coldwater are Kingston Rossdale, Frances Pen, daughter of Amanda Peet and Honor Marie Warren, the young offspring of Jessica Alba.

Move over Sponge Bob Square Pants because here comes Victoria Beckham…no seriously, make room for a posh princess. The former Spice Girls star has signed on to make a “voice over” appearance on the popular kids cartoon.

With a successful singing career under her belt and a fashion empire underway, it seems fitting for Victoria to take the next step and get into animated kid flicks. Many famous celebrities have already jumped on that bandwagon including Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Jack Black and Reese Witherspoon.

A source close to Beckham told the Daily Mirror:

“She isn’t interested in becoming an actress but voice-over work is something that appealed. Screenwriters created the role of a posh British princess especially for her, and they were blown away by what a natural she was. Network bosses have been in touch with her ever since, offering her more work.”

Her sons Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz are sure to be thrilled with their mom’s latest Sponge Bob gig. Victoria was recently named the 52nd richest woman in Britain.

Victoria Beckham graces a recent cover of Russian Vogue magazine. She was photographed wearing a military style hat and appears to be sucking her thumb on the cover and rocks a red dress inside.

The former Spice Girl and wife of L.A. Galaxy and AC Milan soccer player David Beckham, was on hand to watch his match over the weekend. Becks just paid Galaxy $3 million to allow him to continue playing for AC Milan until mid July, when he will rejoin his L.A. team. He has been on loan to AC Milan during Galaxy’s off season.

Beckham Pays $3 Million To LA Galaxy, Extends AC Milan Loan

The March 8 match-up between team AC Milan and Atalanta at the San Siro Stadium was to be David Beckham’s European swansong. It had been widely reported that he was to board a plane for L.A. immediately after the match in order to arrive on time for the start of Galaxy spring training on March 9.

His status has now changed and the soccer star has bought himself another four months with the team he loves. AC Milan and Beckham have each shelled out money to extend the loan until mid July. Beckham’s own out of pocket is reported to be $3 million.

This move will enable Becks to be on board for two England World Cup qualifiers in June. His new agreement has him tentatively rejoining Galaxy in their July 16 game against the New York Red Bulls in Rutherford, N.J.

The soccer player is in year three of a five year contract, worth $32.5 million. There is a built-in buyout option coming up in November, with two years remaining.

Victoria Beckham is torn by her husband’s desire to relocate once again. Soccer great David Beckham signed on with L.A. Galaxy in 2007 and the family made the big move to the US and now he has been loaned out to AC Milan and he wants to stay on.

The couple and their three sons, Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 4, have settled in nicely and the boys are loving it. Beckham recently talked to People magazine.

“My family is the No. 1 priority and I want to do what’s best for the children. They adore the U.S. and have settled well there. But at the same time, there is no doubt that if I want to keep playing for my country the best platform is in Milan. Victoria is as tormented as I am by all this. She is having sleepless nights and is hardly eating. I am worried about her – she is my wife and I want what is best for her as well. We both know this is a massive decision.”

AC Milan was rejected by L.A. Galaxy on their buyout offer. Galaxy training camp starts on March 9 and according to a recent Galaxy press release, Beckham plays his last AC Milan game on March 8 and will immediately return to L.A.

Rumors indicate that the family has leased George Clooney’s Italian Lake Como villa for an unspecified period of time. Sources close to the family indicate that no matter what happens, Victoria and the kids will remain in L.A. so the boys can finish out their school year.

It should be interesting to see if there will be an 11th hour deal worked out between Beckham and Galaxy.

David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham had a luxury beach home built on the island of Koh Samui in Ban Tai, Thailand. The construction of the resort style villa was completed in mid 2008 and we’ve got several photos to share.

The three floor home set the Beckham’s back $5.8 million and sits on 8 acres amid the hills overlooking a private beach. Beckham was drawn to the area by his friend and former national team coach Sven Goran Ericksson, who also purchased a home and will be a close neighbor.

The jet setting couple were recently photographed in Dubai with AC Milan, the soccer team that has welcomed Beckham onboard while L.A. Gallaxy is on winter break. While enjoying all that Dubai has to offer, it is rumored that the athlete signed on the dotted line to purchase an apartment in the Burj Dubai tower, a skyscraper that will be the tallest building in the world upon its completion.

Victoria also recently graced the cover of Vogue India in their November 2008 issue. The photo spread portrayed the model as an Indian bride.

The Beckham’s aren’t the only celebrities living in splendor. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have leased a $60 million Long Island mansion for the month of March. See Sassafras photos here.
