Jada Pinkett Smith Defends Her Marriage

For several years the media has tried to put a bad light on the marriage of singer/actress Jada Pinkett Smith and actor Will Smith. Rumors have swirled saying that their union is a scam and that they are only in it to cover up their real sexual orientation.

Will and Jada just celebrated their 12th year of marriage and the actress says that they are happy and it is alright if we don’t believe that. Last October an unnamed madame came forth with a story claiming that Will used the services of her agency and hired two men.

“I don’t have an open marriage and no, we’re not gay – and you don’t trust that? Well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I am happy.”

The couple have two children together, Jaden and Willow. Personally, we have seen photos and interviews with their family and it looks to us like they are deeply in love and respect one another. So BRAVO!

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey isn’t the only celebrity using her star power to help further the development of kids. The latest stars to step forward in the quest to educate children are actor Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Smith’s opened the New Village Leadership Academy in Calabasas, California last fall. The school teaches pre-k through sixth grade. Pinkett developed a home school program for her kids and wanted to share it with other children.

This school has seen its share of controversy, including rumors that the teachings utilize methods developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, though the director of the school denies any Scientology ties.

Jim Carrey beat out Will Smith for top honors at the box office this weekend. Yes Man came in first at $18 million in ticket sales. Seven Pounds was second with $16 million. The Matthew Broderick animated family movie The Tale of Despereaux was third with $10.5 million.

Yes Man, by Warner Bros., stars Carrey as a loser who turns his life around by saying yes to everything. Seven Pounds has Smith playing a mysterious IRS agent doing good deeds for strangers. The Tale of Despereaux features a heroic mouse with very big ears.

Will Smith Makes Surprise Visit to Miami Children’s Hospital

Taking time out of his busy schedule, actor Will Smith put promoting his latest film Seven Pounds on hold to visit sick children at the Miami Children’s Hospital.

This was truly a surprise visit for the children and the staff. Will signed autographs and brought in gifts for the kids. To make the visit more memorable, Smith made a large donation to the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The Foundation president Lucy Morillo said:

“We were deeply moved by Will Smith’s donation and the true spirit of joy he brought to the many young patients being treated here. We are very appreciative of his heartfelt support and honored to have such a celebrated figure as part of our Miami Children’s Hospital family.”

Smith’s thoughtfulness will leave a lasting impression on these kids. Well done Will!

Will Smith is gay and has employed the services of a notorious Hollywood madame to provide him with male prostitutes.

According to the madame, who has since moved her operation to Manhattan, Smith was a client for years. She claims the first time she ever spoke with Smith she had to “reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion.”

“Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys. You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys.”

Yeah, how ’bout that discretion? If you can’t trust a notorious madame to be discreet, who the hell can you trust?

Gay rumors have plagued Smith for years, but until someone more credible than an anonymous madame comes forward with photos or video, we aren’t biting.

Will Smith and his gorgeous wife Jada Pinkett Smith were on hand for the Los Angeles movie premiere of The Women at Mann Theater in Westwood last night.

Dare we say the Hollywood power couple have never looked better. These two are extremely photogenic celebrities no matter where they are captured but these particular pics really are stunning.

The Women showcases a star studded cast that includes Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Eva Mendes, Candice Bergen and Jada Pinkett Smith. The plot line is that a wealthy New Yorker leaves her cheating husband and bonds with other society women at a resort.

Actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith along with their children, attended the Kit Kittredge movie premiere and after party at the Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday. Daughter Willow Smith had a role in the American Girl film.

Jada is an actress and the vocalist for the metal band Wicked Wisdom. She is also active in the couple’s Will and Jada Foundation which funds projects for inner city children. Will’s film Hancock, with a comedy superhero theme, is in post production and is set for a July 2, 2008 release. His current project, Seven Pounds, started filming in March and will release in January 2009.

We’ve got some great photos of the family, who appear to have enjoyed posing for photographers at the event. Sons Trey and Jaden were also on hand to honor their sister, who previously appeared in I Am Legend with her father, playing the role of Marley. Jaden had a role in Pursuit of Happyness playing the son of his father’s character in 2007. Oldest son Trey appeared in his father’s 1998 music video for single Just The Two Of Us.

Tom Cruise must be taking a page from his friend Will Smith’s playbook. He has reportedly given his blessing to having son Connor try his hand at the movie business. Connor Cruise appeared in Will Smith’s drama Seven Pounds.

The 13 year old, no stranger to the behind the scenes aspects of moving making, has been hanging out on movie sets with his father and his mother Nicole Kidman since he was a tot.

Cruise’s son auditioned for a role in Seven Pounds and got the part, playing a younger version of Smith’s character. Tom is said to be extremely proud of his son. We half expect to see him jumping up and down on a couch somewhere soon.

UPDATE: August 10, 2009 – Connor Cruise has gotten his second Hollywood acting break. The 14-year-old will have a part in the MGM remake of Red Dawn. Tom Cruise’s son will play the part of Daryl, son of the mayor of Spokane.

The movie was set in the 1980’s and tells the story of a World War III attack on the U.S. by the Soviet Union and their Central American allies. A group of high school students resist their foreign occupiers through their own brand of gorilla warfare.

The release date for Red Dawn is September 24, 2010.
