Newly-minted America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern is struggling with his new duties leading to speculation that the shock jock is way out of his element.
Monday night Stern admitted that he made a mistake when he assumed he could handle the new job. The revelation came after he got too harsh with seven-year-old Philadelphia rapper Mir Money.
Stern was not impressed with the little kid’s act and hit his X buzzer button, causing the boy to sob. The crowd booed and Howard vowed to do better. He said, “I’ll fix everything.”
Stern hugged Mir Money, “I’m so sorry… You’re a terrific young man. You are so brave. This job is too rough for me. I don’t really want to do it anymore… I don’t want to make you cry. I’ve met many great rappers and none of them are quite as great as you.”
Host Nick Cannon carried the young boy offstage as Howard told the audience, “I’m not cut out for this, man. I’m not cut out for it. I’m shaking, man. I’m shaking… I can’t do it. Radio is for me. I made a mistake. This is not for me.”
The debacle is likely just the first of many and undoubtedly has NBC execs smiling broadly. That is precisely why they hired a shock jock. So far, so good.

Green Bay Packer wide receiver Donald Driver and his pro partner Peta Murgatroyd hoisted the mirror ball trophy in triumph last night during the finale of Dancing with the Stars season 14.
Eighteen celebrity contestants returned for one last dance during the two hour extravaganza that included an emotion performance by one this season’s popular alum … Glady Knight.
The best performances of the week were knocked out by Katherine Jenkins and her pro Mark Ballas but after combining both night’s scores and adding the nationwide vote totals, the talented couple ended up taking second place. Third went to William Levy and Cheryl Burke.
Driver and his partner immediately began an ABC promo tour that kicked off with an appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Then they jetted off to New York where they will begin the morning talk show circuit. We expect that will include a visit to The View, where season 14 contestant Sherri Shepherd hangs her hat.

During last night’s final round of Dancing with the Stars competition, Donald Driver and his pro partner rocked the house with their country-inspired freestyle.
The Green Bay Packer wide receiver and super-sexy Peta Murgatroyd thrilled the audience with their green and gold hued costumes. The duo got it on as Cowboy Troy sang I Play Chicken with the Train.
Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno appreciated their boot scootin’ antics and awarded them a perfect score of 30 for their efforts.
Shortly after the show Peta tweeted:
Recently eliminated celebrity Melissa Gilbert was quick to post a Twitter shout out to her DWTS pals: “You just won! I’m screaming here at home! Oh hell yeah!!”
It remains to be seen whether the Packer Nation cast enough votes to secure a mirror ball trophy victory for DD.
We would be remiss if we didn’t speak about the couple’s first routine too. Peta rocked a nearly x-rated costume during their sensual Argentine Tango.

Lea Michele made a guest appearance Monday on Late Night with David Letterman. Suffice it to say the show host couldn’t keep his eyes off of her keyhole-styled dress.
The Glee good girl threw caution to the wind and decided to risk a wardrobe malfunction with her white figure-hugging fashion statement.
She claims she forgot how cold they keep the Letterman studio. Lea told Dave that one of the backstage crew members suggested she should have worn more clothing. Letterman quipped with an all-knowing smile, “You’re fine!”
The actress was likely inspired to wear the revealing dress after being named #14 on the 2012 Maxim Hot 100 list. She received the good news earlier in the day and tweeted, “That’s awesome!”

Brad Pitt arrived solo at the Cannes Film Festival to debut his political crime thriller Killing Then Softly.
Sporting shoulder length locks and a goatee, the actor was dressed in a summer weight suit that he rocked with a white belt and shoes.
A throng of reporters noted the absence of his fiancee Angelina Jolie and asked when the power couple planned to wed. The actor remained mum on a wedding date but did reveal that his partner is currently busy getting ready for an upcoming film role of her own.
Killing Them Softly was screened in France Tuesday. The bloody and violent film, shot in Louisiana, is a stylized adaption of the 1974 novel Cogan’s Trade features Pitt in the role of Jackie Cogan, a point guy for a hitman. His character investigates a heist of the mob’s assets.
Serving as the backdrop for the film is the real life economic crisis with footage of speeches by President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush liberally laced into the drama.
Co-stars include James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Sam Shepard, Scoot McNairy. The film producer is DeDe Gardner.
The project is slated for release on September 21, 2012 in the U.S. and Canada.
