Actor Alec Baldwin, who has a history of lashing out at reporters and photographers, got into it again Sunday morning while walking his dogs in NYC.

The ’30 Rock’ actor allegedly grabbed the arm of New York Post reporter Tara Palmeri and said, “I want you to choke to death.”  Then he hurled a barrage of racial slurs at her photographer.

The reporter approached Baldwin and asked him about the recent lawsuit that was filed against his yoga teacher wife Hilaria Baldwin.  Palmeri claims he grabbed her arm and said, “I want to choke you to death.”

As for the photographer, G.N. Miller, it turns out he is a decorated retired NYPD detective who wasn’t amused when Baldwin bumped him in the chest and called him, “a coon,” “crackhead” “ex jailhouse paparazzi” and “drug dealer.”  When he flashed his badge, Baldwin called it “fake” and continued to fling derogatory slurs at Miller.

Palmeri recorded the conversation and played the audio for police while she and her photographer were filing a criminal complaint.

Baldwin tried to do damage control on Twitter, “Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post ‘photographer’ who assaulted me.”

The actor has a history of combative behavior.  His last encounter was a June 2012 shoving match and verbal altercation with a New York Daily News photographer that occurred when Baldwin and his fiancee were getting their marriage license.

Alec’s spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, called Miller’s accusations “completely false.”  He also added a direct quote from Baldwin, “That’s one of the most outrageous things I’ve heard in my life.”

Alec Baldwin and his fiancee Hilaria Thomas were exiting the Marriage License Bureau in downtown Manhattan when their day suddenly took an ugly turn.

Daily News photographer Marcus Santos was waiting outside the building along with other photographers, hoping to capture images of the couple.

Santos told the newspaper, “He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me, one time right in the chin. Then he goes the other way.”

Baldwin’s rep Matthew Hiltzik spoke with PEOPLE about the altercation, “As Alec and his fiancée were leaving City Hall, a ‘civilian’ walking in front of Alec positioned himself to obstruct the view of a photographer aggressively trying to shoot the couple.”

“The photographer was clearly frustrated, pushed past the bystander and assaulted Alec with his camera. There were no punches thrown, and any subsequent physical contact was simply Alec protecting himself.”

In order to provide his side of the story, Alec unleashed a series of comments on his Twitter page:

I guess it goes without saying that Baldwin and his fiancee will be getting married shortly … which was the story that the New York Daily News had hoped to hype when they sent their photographer out to do his job this morning.
