Courteney Cox fell and broke her wrist Saturday while on vacation with friends in Cancun.
The 49-year-old Cougar Town actress reportedly slipped and fell, snapping her wrist. She was treated by doctors in her hotel room, who confirmed the break was pretty bad.
According to TMZ, Courteney was fitted with a cast, but decided not to take any chances and took a private jet back to the states where she could be seen by her own doctors. There is no word on whether or not she will require surgery.
After living separately for several years, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are now officially divorced.
The final judgement ending their 12-year union took place on May 28 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Cox, 48, and Arquette, 41, announced that they were living apart in October 2010 but they coasted along until June 2012 before filing for the dissolution of their marriage. They will share joint legal and physical custody of their 8-year-old daughter Coco.
During an initial announcement of their separation, Courteney said, "I don't know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting divorced. This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us. Sometimes you just realize, 'Wow, we actually have grown apart.'"
Two months after the split, David checked into rehab for treatment of "alcohol and other issues," in what many saw as an attempt at a marital reconciliation.
The couple have remained friends throughout their separation of the sake of their child. During the 13th season of 'Dancing with the Stars' in Nov. 2011, Courteney and Coco showed up each week in the audience to cheer for David. He finished sixth in the competition.
Arquette has moved on and has been in a relationship with 'OMG! Insider' correspondent Christina McLarty for the past year.
In an amusing skit that aired Wednesday on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' Jennifer Aniston staged a mini reunion with two of her former 'Friends' co-stars.
A film crew shot video of the 43-year-old actress paying an early morning visit to Matthew Perry. Suffice it to say -- he seemed less than pleased that she was ringing his door bell at 8:00 a.m. in the morning.
She stammers, "We used to walk into each other's apartments all the time. I mean, we're friends!"
His retort, "That was a TV show, we haven't actually seen each other in a pretty long time, like eight years."
While they continue to make uncomfortable small talk, Courteney Cox attempts to exit Perry's residence after what we are to assume was an overnight stay.
Cox points at Aniston and asks Perry, "You're not sleeping with her too, right?"
In a serious moment, Ellen asked Jen if a real 'Friends' reunion is in the cards. The actress responded, "Doing that little bit with Matty and Court yesterday was... we were very nostalgic and miss working together. We miss each other and it's a great thing to go back to your family like that. Also, I know that people would love it."
'Cougar Town' star Courteney Cox looks fantastic on the cover of New You magazine's Jan-Feb-March 2013 issue.
The 48-year-old admits she needs help to look this good: "You know what, I'm game for anything. I'm very open to trying to prolong the inevitable. I'm a big laser believer, I really think they are the wave of the future. I just did Ulthera, which is supposed to produce collagen, and I'm about to do Fraxel, which will get rid of all these brown spots off my arms, chest and face."
Two years away from the dreaded BIG 50, Courteney isn't taking any chances and is working hard to keep her appearance looking young. "I'm on this kick where I'm gonna try to drink 64 ounces of water a day. It's so hard. I can get the first 32 down, no problem. That second bottle is tough but when I do, I feel different."
The actress, mother to 8-year-old Coco, admits she is not looking forward to aging, "Beauty has always been a big part of my childhood and my life. My mother is a very beautiful woman -- she wasn't a career woman, she's a mother of four -- and looks were really important to her. She's always been into vitamins and creams and she's never had any plastic surgery."
When does Cox feel her best? You guessed it ... when she's Au natural. She chats all about it with Jay Leno - check it out below:
David Arquette put any speculation of a reconciliation with wife Courteney Cox to rest on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, telling the shock jock he is in love with girlfriend Christina McLarty.
Fans who thought things may not be over for the couple after Cox sat in the audience to cheer on Arquette before he got the boot from "Dancing with the Stars" may be disappointed to learn that's not in the cards.
Although Arquette and Cox remain on good terms since separating last October, Arquette says their 11-year marriage is definitely over.
"She was sad, we were both sad. We both cried," he told Stern about telling Cox that he was in love with his girlfriend, "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Christina McLarty.
"If Courteney said to you, 'David, I made a mistake I want to work on our marriage. I want you moving back into the house, I want you to break up with that girl. I know we have to do this for our daughter.' Would you consider it?" Stern asked the actor.
"Uh, I mean, no," Arquette replied.
Cox and Arquette have one child, daughter Coco, age 7.
When David Arquette made his Dancing with the Stars debut performance Monday night with pro Kym Johnson, he was cheered on by his estranged wife Courteney Cox and their daughter, seven-year-old Coco Arquette.
Perhaps estranged is too strong a word, considering the fact that the two actors are friendly and continue to speak highly of each other when the media comes looking for new sound bites.
Mother and daughter seemed genuinely excited as David and Kym hit the dance floor to perform a Viennese Waltz to the strains of Somebody to Love.
In his first interview since his January rehab stint, David Arquette sat down with Oprah Winfrey to film a segment that will air today. The actor shared some of the dark secrets from his childhood and his troubled adult life.
David entered rehab on January 2, following an intervention that was staged in his Malibu home by Courteney Cox, his actress sister Patricia Arquette, his best friend, his business partner and a facilitator.
David recalls taking his first drink of beer before he was old enough to attend school. Things accelerated after that -- by age 8 he was stealing pot from his father.
"When I had my first drink of beer, I must have been 4-years-old. I was down in the basement with my dad and beer was there and I just grabbed it and drank it. And I remember that. It's one of my earliest memories."
David admits by the age of 12 he had seriously taken up drinking. Watch a clip of David and Oprah below ... looks like a must see interview.
Following the October announcement that David Arquette and his wife Courteney Cox had separated, the actor quickly began to spin out of control. This past weekend he checked himself into an unidentified treatment facility for treatment of alcohol issues and depression.
The craziness started in October when Arquette made his first of many calls to radio personality Howard Stern. He talked freely about sexual escapades with Jasmine Waltz and the fact that Cox was finished being his mother.
Cox, gracious as always, spoke with People magazine: "I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him."
The Scream actor has not hidden his heartbreak--calling the split personal and traumatic. Before entering rehab David hosted a New Year's Eve party at his Arquette and Beacher's Madhouse Theater in Los Angeles.
David and Courteney have been married for eleven years and have a six-year-old daughter Coco.
Courteney Cox decided it was time to clarify her current marital situation. In an interview with TV Week, the actress said: I don't know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting a divorce."
We're guessing the actress doesn't realize that the average celebrity couple files for divorce within a week after announcing a legal separation. Some later have a change of heart, as in Sean Penn who waffled for years, but the majority cut ties and move on.
The actress went on to say: "This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us."
Cox acknowledges that she and her husband of eleven years, David Arquette, are no longer on the same page. She admits: "Sometimes you just realize 'Wow, we actually have grown apart.'"
Asked to comment on estranged hubby's bizarre comments to Howard Stern, Courteney said: "David is a kook. It's not shocking. David is an entertainer and I'm sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories."
