jared and ivanka second time parents

Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner announced, via social media, the arrival of their second child, a son.  He was born at a Manhattan hospital on Monday, Oct. 14.

She tweeted, "We just welcomed a beautiful & healthy son into the world.  Jared, Arabella and I couldn't be happier!"

This momentous family event prompted Donald Trump to share the news with his Twitter followers, "My beautiful daughter Ivanka just had a healthy baby boy.  Jared and Ivanka are very proud!"

He added a short while later, "Thanks to all for the wonderful congratulations sent to me on the birth of Ivanka's little boy - so nice!"

The 31-year-old mother told a reporter not long ago that her two-year-old daughter was starting to doubt there really was a baby on the way.  "She's really excited and borderline impatient at this point because I started talking about it around six to seven months and she hasn't waited that long for anything in her life.  I think she's starting to mistrust me."

Kushner, 32, is the owner of The New York Observer in Bedminster, New Jersey.  Ivanka converted to Judaism four years ago in preparation for their Oct. 25, 2009 wedding.

Fun Fact:  Kushner is a major contributor to the Democratic party -- which must certainly irk his staunch Republican father-in-law.

trump faces fraud lawsuit

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has filed a lawsuit against real estate mogul Donald Trump and Trump University for $40 million Saturday, alleging that the school engaged in a "bait and switch."  The fraud case will be heard in state Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Trump appeared in advertisements that ran across the country offering free workshops.  High pressure methods were used to sign people up for a three-day seminar for $1,495, with the insinuation that Trump would be involved.

Students were then pressured to pay $10,000 - $35,000 for a "Trump elite mentorship program."

The closest students got to university chairman Trump was to have their picture taken with his cardboard likeness.  Most never closed a single real estate deal.

New York's AG said, "Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of consumers advancement through costly programs and caused real financial harm.  Trump University, with Donald Trump's knowledge, relied on his name recognition and celebrity status to take advantage of consumers who believed in the Trump brand."

The $40 million that the AG is going after will be used to pay restitution to consumer victims.

In true Trump fashion, the mogul hit Twitter to trash Schneiderman, "Lightweight NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is trying to extort me with a civil law suit."

Donald Trump has reportedly spent $1 million in an effort to explore the viability of a potential presidential bid in 2016.  The real estate mogul was making all of the same noises last time around but bailed in 2012 without ever throwing his hat in the ring.

Trump's special counsel Michael Cohen indicates Trump is dead serious this time, “The electoral research was commissioned. We did not spend $1 million on this research for it just to sit on my bookshelf."

Last week The Donald spoke at a Republican Party dinner in Michigan and told attendees that a run was "highly unlikely."

His lawyer left the door wide open, "At this point Mr. Trump has not made any decision on a political run, but what I would say is that he is exactly what this country needs. The turnout at these political speeches indicates his following remains very strong and is growing.“

Trump isn't above tooting his own horn, “Everybody tells me, ‘Please run for president. Please run for president.’ I would be much happier if a great and competent person came along. I’d be happy if President Obama did a great job. I’m a Republican, but before anything, I love this country. I would love to see somebody come in who is going to be great.”

Trump's favorite media tool for sharing his political views is his Twitter page.   We've added two of his recent tweets:

When Trump isn't critiquing politicians, he enjoys badmouthing his perceived foes.  On election night NBC newsman Brian Williams indicated on the air that Donald Trump "has driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsibility."  Trump responded by calling Williams "a dummy."

Would you cast your vote to put the Trumpster in the White House?

martha stewart narrows the field

Martha Stewart must be breathing a huge sigh of relief now that Donald Trump has voiced his approval as she searches for Mr. Right on the popular dating website

The decidedly opinionated real estate mogul hit Twitter with an uncharacteristically kind greeting for his fellow New Yorker:

donald trump gives martha a shout out

Martha, worth a reported $650 million, received over 20,000 page views within days after joining and has already selected two prospects out of 1,000 date requests.

The men appeared with the 71-year-old media maven Thursday on TODAY.  Stan is a filmmaker, director and writer.  Larry is an international steel trader.  They are both 68 and work in New York and New Jersey.

It turns out that Stan actually filmed a number of Kmart commercials featuring Stewart many years ago.  He told Lauer, "I always really liked Martha; how could you not?"

Because of her celebrity status, Stewart got some personalized VIP treatment from CEO, Sam Yagan, as she navigated her way through the online questionnaire.

He stated emphatically, "There's no question that Martha is one of the most popular members ever to join Match."

jon stewart calls out trump on the daily show

Jon Stewart of 'The Daily Show' has angered Donald J. Trump over a joke he tossed out the other night.

Stewart told his audience, "By the way, did you know Donald Trump's birth name is F**kface Von Clownstick?  Yah ... what's he hiding? Yah, that's all over Twitter--I hope."

As one might expect, The Trumpster tweeted a few slings and arrows of his own:

donalds twitter rants

In response to the above salvo's, Stewart asked Trump on Twitter, "Can't an overrated Jew have a complicated relationship with his dad without being accused of hiding his heritage? #F**kFaceVonClownstick"

His later joked, "We seem to have hit a F**kface Von Nervestick."

Check out the Stewart clip that got Donald's goat ... move the slider to 5:00:

donald trump family

Oh, to be 7-year-old Barron Trump, the son of Donald Trump and Slovenian former model Melania Knauss Trump.  Nothing is apparently too good for this particular boy child.

Melania launched a skincare line sold exclusively at Lord & Taylor this week.  The key ingredient is caviar and the products run from $50 to $150.  What does Barron have to do with this?

The young boy loves to use the products.  Barron uses his mother's Caviar Complex C6 moisturizer every night after his bath.  His mother told ABC News this week, "It smells very, very fresh, I put it on him from head to toe. He likes it!"

In a press release Melania spoke about the caviar which is imported from a cultured sturgeon farm in the South of France, where it is harvested to optimal ripeness to maintain it's nutrients.

Barron is Melania's only child and Donald's youngest son.  All of her attention is focused on him when he's not in school.

Mrs. Trump told Parenting magazine, "I am a full time mom; that is my first job. The most important job ever. I started my business when he started school. When he is in school I do my meetings, my sketches, and everything else. I cook him breakfast. Bring him to school. Pick him up. Prepare his lunch. I spend the afternoon with him."

The youngster does get to think on his own, "I don’t push my thoughts or likes or dislikes. I want him to grow to be his own person. I think it is important to give a child room to make mistakes in order to learn. Mistakes build wings so later in life they can fly and go on their own. Let them fall once in awhile ... Be their friend and parent as well. When they’re in trouble they will come to you first. Don’t try to change their opinion."

We are not sure where Daddy Donald fits into this equation but one day, like the rest of his successful siblings, Barron will be working for his father.

la toya jackson and omarosa

Last night was the end of the line for La Toya Jackson on 'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.'

Donald Trump fired Jackson but not before she verbally attacked contestant Omarosa Manigault.

Reality television hit an all time low for bad behavior when La Toya blamed Omarosa not once but twice for the death of her fiance, actor Michael Clarke Duncan, who died in September 2012.

Sunday's Apprentice task was a 5-minute soap opera sketch for Crystal Light.  La Toya, as team leader, got miffed during a rehearsal when Omarosa had to leave early after learning that Duncan's 911 call was about to be released by a tabloid website.

LJ took two pretty good stabs at her team mate during the show.  Her first cut was, "Omarosa’s fiance passed away not long ago. He had a heart attack – I’m sure she gave it to him."  Later she spewed, "Omarosa is the most evil person I have ever met.  She's a no good, conniving, scheming, cut-throat, probably pulled the cord on Michael Clarke Duncan."

OMS threatened her team leader, “I will take you down — I will take you down if you disrespect me –I am not your staff – get that straight. Next time, you fix your mouth!”

In the boardroom the verbal attacks continued as Omarosa defended her decision to leave during a task, “I will never, ever choose Apprentice over Michael. I will never make that decision. And if I have to take care of my honey, I will.  I will never apologize for what I had to do — having to hear the last moments of his life played out on national TV — I will never apologize for that.”

Perhaps La Toya feared Omarosa would prevail in a final show down so she brought Dennis Rodman and Brande Roderick back into the boardroom instead.

Trump was shocked by the move, “When it counted you brought the wrong people back to the boardroom — you stood up to her, except when it counted.  I hate to do it La Toya, but you made a terrible choice when you didn’t bring back Omarosa, because I probably would have fired Omarosa. La Toya, you’re fired!”

UPDATE:  This just in ... Omarosa Manigault's lawyer released this statement: “As her counsel, we have been directed to pursue these defamatory statements to the fullest extent of the law with La Toya Jackson and any other participating publications or media outlets who repeat or repost these statements.”

We find it interesting that they aren't going after NBC and 'Celebrity Apprentice,' who aired the statements in question.  Nor has she stomped off the show to prove a point.  In any case, the statements uttered by Jackson have been widely quoted since the show aired last night.

donald trump and bill maher

Last month during a 'Tonight Show' appearance Bill Maher mocked real estate tycoon Donald Trump for offering the president $5 million to reveal his college transcripts.

Maher sarcastically suggested to Jay Leno that Trump is "the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan."  He then turned the tables on the 'Celebrity Apprentice' boss and offered to donate $5 million to charity if Donald would supply proof that he isn't descended from an ape.

Two days after Maher's challenge, Trump sent him a certified copy of his birth certificate and after waiting in vain for the money is now claiming "breach of contract" against the HBO comedic commentator.

Trump told 'Fox & Friends' Monday night that he is taking action. "He promised me $5 million for charity if I provided certain information.  Well, I provided the information.  He didn't pay.  So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million."

The mogul's legal team filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Country Superior Court Monday.  Trump hit Twitter to boast about his latest publicity stunt:

What does Maher have to say about the lawsuit?  No much ... but it did speak volumes.  He tweeted:

cher joins macys boycott over trump politics

A grass roots effort by is urging people to sign an online petition to encourage Macy's to sever ties with real estate mogul Donald Trump because of his personal attacks on President Barack Obama, NBC newscaster Brian Williams and for his ongoing penchant for slinging "sexist" comments.

The website petition statement reads: "Macy's: Donald Trump does not reflect the "magic of Macy's."  We urge you to sever ties with him.  Macy's says it has a strong obligation to be "socially responsible" and that "actions speak louder than words."  Indeed, it's time to act."

Thus far the petition has been signed by nearly 500,000 supporters who have opted to join the 'Urge Macy's To Dump Donald Trump' campaign.

One decidedly vocal supporter is Cher, who fired off a Twitter rant to vent her displeasure:

picture 15

With news of the petition gaining momentum, Trump hit Twitter but not to lash out.  He simply tweeted, "My fragrance--"Success"-- is flying off the shelves @Macys.  The perfect Christmas gift!"

Monday he asked this Twitter question: "How come every time I show anger, disgust or impatience, enemies say I had a tantrum or meltdown--stupid or dishonest people?"

His spokesman Michael Cohen had this to say: "Mr. Trump is important to Macy's, both as a brand and as an endorser.  His ties, shirts, cufflinks, fragrances and other merchandise are top-selling items across the country.  The country has been founded on the principles of freedom of speech -- something Mr. Trump is entitled to as well as the creator of this petition."

Macy's released a new 60-second commercial featuring The Donald harassing Kris Kringle.  Check it out below:

We've provided a petition link -- should you want to add your name.  If not, carry on and have a great day.

mark cuban makes donald trump an offer

Billionaire mogul and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took an opportunity to poke fun at Donald Trump with a charity offer that he hopes the real estate tycoon won't refuse.

During an interview with Fox 4 News in Dallas, Cuban voiced his opinion on Trump's "huge announcement" that caused Barbara Walters to call her old pal a "fool" from her bully pulpit on The View.

The 'Shark' investor said, "The offer he made for $5 million, that was one of the dumbest things ever.  But I thought about responding to him, maybe if I put up a million or two million, if he'll shave his head?"

Then Cuban pointed at the camera and challenged, "Donald, you shave your head, $1 million to any charity you want."

No word yet on whether the 'Apprentice' boss will bite on the generous offer.  Don't hold your breath...
