Former President George Herbert Walker Bush, 89, shaved his head in a show of solidarity for a 2-year-old boy named Patrick who has leukemia.

Jim McGrath, the post White House spokesman for #41, placed several photos on Twitter to show the former POTUS and his Secret Service detail. The thing they all have in common is their recently shorn heads.

The group, including #41, decided to make the sacrifice for one of their members, Jon, and his young son Patrick, who recently lost his hair after undergoing treatment for blood cancer.

The team oversees the security of the Bush family at their seasonal home in Kennebunkport, Maine. A second group photo shows the distinguished looking team sporting their signature sunglasses.

Patrick’s parents posted a message for #41 and his wife on the website Patrickspals.org, “We cannot thank both President AND Mrs. Bush enough for their generosity and concern.”

Barbara and George lost their daughter Pauline “Robin” Robinson Bush to leukemia in 1953, when the child was two months shy of 5-years-old.

Bush Sr. revealed during an NBC interview conducted last year by his granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager, that he is looking forward to seeing his deceased daughter when he gets to heaven at the end of his days.
